ScriviaTV I cannot tell you how many I've watched your GOT lore videos, especially this one and the Valerian Freehold one. I watch them before bed during stressful times, so relaxing helps me sleep. Thankyou dude 👍
i dont understand people complaining about the voice/accent. to me it sounds just perfect for the subject he is talking about really, sounds like a character from ASoIaF is explaining all that :3
Such a thorough history, havnt seen this Wildling info before, fascinating stuff! thanx Scriva, may the Gods be good! ps. Your voice is exotic and your English perfect.......I enjoy the listen...
Why is it that the Wildlings never tried to make ships to sail around the Wall and settle south? It's not like they had a shortage of trees to fell for timber. Hell, the same question applies to the White Walkers.
Im guessing a false sense of conviction and loyalty. but he did mention that tribe that relocated to south of the wall. I forgot their name, but he mentioned that a Stark king's grandmother was from there. or something like that..
Same reason they don't forge iron and build stone structures. They don't really understand the technology because they have no experience with it. Small boats they could handle but of they built boats good enough to be a threat the people of the seven kingdoms would send far better ships woth far more organized and experienced sailars to destroy them
The Wall isn't just a physical barrier. Its magic keeps the White Walkers/ Others in the North. The could freeze the ocean and cross it on foot if the Wall weren't there.
I'm pretty sure that those areas are both dangerous to traverse by sea (think sea creatures, strong currents etc), the wildlings aren't great shipwrights and the areas are protected at the coast line at the very least (there might be a small fleet of ships stationed nearby for eg by bear island as they're used to ironborn raiders). I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility that the wildlings don't trust the waters either for currently unknown reasons (historical failures in invasion attempts, religious reasons etc).
In the books at least, I’m quite sure the Thenns do NOT eat people at all. That’s just people in the frozen wastes west of the mountains or on the island of Skane. The show changed that, but idk which you’re talking about in this video exactly
Imagine you are here after 6 years since this video was posted just because it's 3AM and you can't wait for HoTD next episode. Lol. Props to this channel so lit 🔥
Thank you for these videos. I'm ashamed I haven't found them sooner. I could of watched this on the year wait for the new season. Now I'm watching between the week waiting on the new episode. You got some fire keep it up
New to your channel. Love it so far. I know you get shit for your accent, and praise, reminds me of a corny Dracula or something Slavic like that. Keep up the awesome work though.
Thanks mate! There's been an issue before - slow speech of mine's, that's why i got kind of speedy, but yeah, that's not working out good as well. Gotta find some golden middle.
I hate how the show turned the Thenns into a mindless savage cannibals. I cringed when Magnar said to Olly "I'm going to eat your dead papa and your dead mama". If you want savage cannibal wildlings you have ice river clans D&D!
Yeah try not to not sound robotic, just relax, take a breath here and there. Your material is so good and I suppose u get better every time. Try different styles, people here will no doubly say if its good or not and u will find a solid way that ppl like. Thanks alot for the material
The giants in the show have sharp teeth so maybe they are like hippos, horses, goats, cows they are vegetarian but will eat meat and animals like ducks, rats, and anything if they are missing something in their diet.
Were the Wildlings diverse in appearance and the Northerners, including great horses, all brunette? I am curious about how the people of the region tended to look per the books. Thank you
Saga Poetic the first men were huge, powerful, and had all ranges of hair color and stuff. Actual artwork shows a lot of first men with "fair hair", light brown, sandy blonde, and a lot with darker hair too. Examples would be houses Yronwood, Fowler, Wyl in dorne compared to their more dornish looking neighbors. Those houses are tall, strong, fair haired, light eyed and skinned. And first men origins. While other dornish houses are lean, dark, from the ryonish blood.
The Wildlings and Northmen are the same people so the same diversity is expected. There are redheads like Tormund and Ygritte and even wargs that look like zombies.
3eyed raven? I thought he was called the 3eyed crow. I never heard of the 3 eyed raven, but then again it's been years since I've read all the books. did i miss something ?
its funny how we know how the nights king was created and yet people say that the home of the WW are beyond thenn . can u make avideo about that? what lies in the land of alwys winter? what is that altar what is the WW home?
2 tips. Use more emotion and emphasis. The entire video sounded like a single unending sentence. Also, don't repeat so much. You talked about the giant speaking the old tongue 4 times.
I like your videos but you should add your sources. Even if they are directly from the books tell us whether it is a legend, info from a measters diary or whatever. Sometimes you state (imo unlikely) legends as facts
They did many times. Nights Watch at Eastwatch by the sea got their small fleet as well, and on west coast there's not that much wood, and are lots of Mormonts and Ironborn in the waters to the south. So, free folk didn't have much of a choice.
I’m sorry , maybe a bit slower next time , and truly really tell the story or information, I’m so sorry , I feel strange for even commenting but it will build a greater Channel . Thank you
man, you must have put serious hours of research putting this together. much grateful thanks!
ScriviaTV I cannot tell you how many I've watched your GOT lore videos, especially this one and the Valerian Freehold one. I watch them before bed during stressful times, so relaxing helps me sleep. Thankyou dude 👍
A most complete overview of the Real North. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!
Thanks!
i dont understand people complaining about the voice/accent. to me it sounds just perfect for the subject he is talking about really, sounds like a character from ASoIaF is explaining all that :3
i wanted to watch the whole video but i stopped when he sayed wall the first time !
@@istratemarian452 it’s said.
Girl you can’t spell,so don’t go complaining about people’s accents
It's a robot voice isn't it
The way he pronounces some words is just horrible. Being non-native is not an excuse for such bad pronunciation.
Dude Im a huge GOT fan and I love you're videos ive been watching them for hours now and its a crime that you don't have more subscribers!
Thanks! Matter of time, I suppose
Such a thorough history, havnt seen this Wildling info before, fascinating stuff! thanx Scriva, may the Gods be good!

The same reason why didnt all the scandinavian people do the same, they didnt want to
Its just better to go south, pillage and return home
In the books at least, I’m quite sure the Thenns do NOT eat people at all. That’s just people in the frozen wastes west of the mountains or on the island of Skane.

Thank you for these videos. I'm ashamed I haven't found them sooner. I could of watched this on the year wait for the new season. Now I'm watching between the week waiting on the new episode. You got some fire keep it up
Thanks for the good words mate!
Loving the videos man! As a geography nerd i am entertained
Enjoy!
Oh my god you deserve so many more subscribers
heres some advice, if your whole civilization lives off eating people maybe you should try finding some better real-estate
But there's no free real estate
Lmaoo the ice river clans
I think they are but the wall is making it a little difficult.
when will you do the houses of Dorne?
Before the start of GOT's 7'th season, surely
Awesome, thanks man.
You ask this when he's right at the other end of Westoros?
Great content, mate. Also, really love the intro! cheers
Cheers mate!
Great Video, Great Job, Man.

New to your channel. Love it so far. I know you get shit for your accent, and praise, reminds me of a corny Dracula or something Slavic like that. Keep up the awesome work though.
Thanks!
If you could talk a bit slower. That's all. I absolutely love your channel.
Thanks mate! There's been an issue before - slow speech of mine's, that's why i got kind of speedy, but yeah, that's not working out good as well. Gotta find some golden middle.
Great content! Nice job!
That Nirvana riff at the beginning is perfect, though I couldn't say why
great job, very informative!
Great Information Thank you
Enjoy!

How can the giants be vegetarian when there are no plants or vegetation in the far north? Nothing grows far beyond the wall.
That's fantasy element of the story. Maybe there are some mushrooms in the caves or some other stuff. Room for imagination.
The giants in the show have sharp teeth so maybe they are like hippos, horses, goats, cows they are vegetarian but will eat meat and animals like ducks, rats, and anything if they are missing something in their diet.
Only Wun Wun is known to be vegetarian
That isn't true, Craster for example grows crops
I LOVE "LANDS OF FOREVER WINTER (SNOW)" I want to be in northern point of "lands of forever snow" for 20 sec. I wonder if there are some villages.
Brilliant video. Thank you so much!
Were the Wildlings diverse in appearance and the Northerners, including great horses, all brunette? I am curious about how the people of the region tended to look per the books. Thank you

good stuff just discovered your channel , subbed up.
Enjoy!
Are you saying the Starks aren't actually the kingintheNorf?
dakingindanorf*
Thens in the books aren't cannibals and are nicer than the rest I think.
Yes, in the books they are much more civilized than the other tribes.
They took the place of the Skagosi who are not in fact wildlings.
They really need to make a GOT videogame but have it like Skyrim. Open world
The walls is taller than the empire states building and that building is a little over 400ft tall, the ice wall is over 700ft tall.
The Empire State Building is 1,454 feet tall to the tip. The wall is 700 feet. The wall is half the size of the Empire State Building.
how or where, did you learn all this ?
Rhetorical question, I suppose? Done research
North of the Lands of Always Winter
This is good stuff 👍🏻
3eyed raven? I thought he was called the 3eyed crow. I never heard of the 3 eyed raven, but then again it's been years since I've read all the books. did i miss something ?
He's called Raven in the show. Sounds better so it stuck
i dont get the fuzz... his voice is fine. dutch by any chance?
Nope i think hw was russian
I was thinking that the Milkwater was so called because it looked milky because it carries much finely-ground rock that has melted out of glaciers.
What is the map that you used ???
13:40 :: This disaster sounds to me like a volcanic eruption, like the Doom of Valyria on a small scale.
Greeting fellow free folk !
This is a cool area of the world.
Why would they stay beyond the wall when it was being built? Like, why would choose to be in a cage with white walkers?
its funny how we know how the nights king was created and yet people say that the home of the WW are beyond thenn . can u make avideo about that? what lies in the land of alwys winter? what is that altar what is the WW home?
It is still a mystery, so, unfortunately, I can't. There are hints, but that's not enough.
i just think its fashitating... the real unknown
Your accent is cute. Where do you live?
Thanks. Baltics.
2 tips. Use more emotion and emphasis. The entire video sounded like a single unending sentence. Also, don't repeat so much. You talked about the giant speaking the old tongue 4 times.
I’m thinking this is an AI reading, but I hope not.
Jon Snow is Bael the Bard
I like your videos but you should add your sources. Even if they are directly from the books tell us whether it is a legend, info from a measters diary or whatever. Sometimes you state (imo unlikely) legends as facts
The frozen river clans could go ice fishing in the frozen river. haha problem solved. No more cannibalism.
Is that Animation a game?
Yup. Telltales "Game of Thrones"
ruclips.net/video/y20AQjXlDJo/видео.html
ScrivaTV thanks
they would have made whole Novel instead of parts of it. it would be a never ending story than.
My girl...my girl were will you go......
umm why didn't they just build boats. Go around the wall.
They did many times. Nights Watch at Eastwatch by the sea got their small fleet as well, and on west coast there's not that much wood, and are lots of Mormonts and Ironborn in the waters to the south. So, free folk didn't have much of a choice.
Wow I can't believe you got consent to use 'man who sold the world' in your intro....oh....wait
You kinda sound like Killian from KillianExperience.
=) Checked him out. He sounds kinda British to me.
Whereas I, if my viewers are to be believed, sound like a Russian/Italian/Spanish-vampire-Siri-bot =)
I like your voice
good content but your accent is so thick, had to listen atleast 3 times to understand whether you were saying duty, beauty or booty
Click that CC button. Subtitles available.
ScrivaTV oh a'right, thanks
What is your accent
Baltics Russian. I'm from Latvia
Wild Oinks
Wildoincks
So its Scotland basically...
there's nothing wrong with your voice or accent it's just that your speech is unrelenting and monotone.
13:22 big fires? Slavers? If it sounds like a duck and walks like a duck, it might have white hair and purple eyes
the 'L' in 'Folk" is silent.
Just sayin...
how the fuck has this guy got 6.7k subs? the voice is unbearable
Patrick Beer go home hater
I don't know. But it's awesome.
Oi paddy this lads a top bloke fuck your self
I’m sorry , maybe a bit slower next time , and truly really tell the story or information, I’m so sorry , I feel strange for even commenting but it will build a greater Channel . Thank you
