Candy Salmon Recipe
(from Emily Norris)
Marinade:
- 2 tsp minced ginger
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 T olive oil
Mix all ingredients together and pour half over salmon. Reserve the other half to use as a sauce. Refrigerate fish for 30-60 minutes. Heat a little oil in a pan and cook fish until heated through, a few minutes on each side. Remove cooked fish from pan and heat up reserved marinade for a minute to pour over fish. Enjoy!

I really like the brown chairs it brings in warmth in the living room
Keep the brown sofa back tables and brown chairs. Introduce some more natural fibres or textures and a pop of colour. Brown and grey (with some black and white) go together. All grey and black is so cold and drab and really hard to pull off. I'm putting my tree up soon but Thanksgiving was in October for me.

Really enjoyed this video. The gray color pallet is very modern and I love it. And I think the brown console tables and leather chairs bring a richness and warmth to the gray room. I hope you rethink the chalk paint and replacing the chairs with more gray.
Visibly annoyed/upset at not getting "the more expensive salmon" and being forced to settle for "the less expensive salmon" is the epitome of first world problems.

I don't think there is a "too early" for decorating or anything else that makes you happy in 2020. I will take all the holiday cheer I can get this year!
If you are spending as much money as you have been showing (like a $100 advent calendar) and living in the same size house as before you are not struggling financially. People who work multiple jobs trying to feed their children are. This is why people have a problem with what you put out. You say you have a budget and make it seem like now that you are divorced you are struggling financially when everything you've shown, including buying that expensive house, shows the opposite. If you were really struggling you would get a job during the 50% of the time the kids are with their dad.
Every financial situation is relative. To be offended at what one may call a “ budget” and your definition of a budget are obviously different. You shouldn’t judge others perception regarding money. We are all different.

I’ve been in recovery from binge eating disorder for the last 4 months and the biggest thing I’ve learned is that we binge because we don’t get enough calories. A lot of people also binge because they don’t have proper nutrition, and it can also be an emotional thing too. I have to admit, I’ve watched your videos for YEARS and you admitting this makes me love you that much more. You’ve seemed so much more real in the last year, so thank you for sharing!

I think the issue is that when you are always talking about being plant based that people assume the calendar (or any product) is too and then are disappointed when they go to order and it’s not. I know I got excited thinking it was vegan. You link to all the products you use so makes sense to clarify what it is 🤷🏻♀️.
Being honest about products you promote is just good business. She makes money off a lot of the things she talks about.

Just curious about the placement of the chairs in the family room. Are they there temporarily until you get others or is that where the new ones will go. It seems odd to me and like they are in the way of the couch.

It's never too early to start in my book gives us more time to enjoy the season, PLUS I think we all need a little Christmas cheer right now. Yeah I adore people who force their vegan cooking on others but then eat non vegan chocolate because they need to "treat themselves" and complain how they couldn't get the most expensive salmon even thought the cheaper salmon is "just as good"

My husband and I bought our first house this year. 5 rooms to get new furniture. we worked hard and saved, $7000 all rooms have furniture. Sales and research. Not buying worthless stuff that we don't need.

Living room: We have similar colors. Grey couch, same rug, I have hickory (lighter floors) but I am actually looking for leather chairs! I'd keep them and maybe pull the color/texture with other decor. In doubt, ask Christopher! He will know :) Love his decor vibes ...

So many people putting their trees up and i get why but its still toooooo early. I'd be fed up of seeing my tree by the end of November, it wouldn't still be up at Christmas. Really like the packaging on the jars etc.

Not even close. This could take several days or even weeks with numerous recounts and court filings and sorting out potential ballot fraud in multiple precincts in multiple states. This likely could end up being decided by the court. Remember that the election in 2000 took a month before we knew the results, and there was only 1 state in question.

I decided to decorate the entire house for Christmas in mid-November except for the dining room - which is where we eat Thanksgiving dinner. Additionally, I take my time putting the ornaments on the tree with my 4 children (or at least whichever one is home or visiting!). I find this way a lot easier in that I'm not overwhelmed with doing all the Christmas decor over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Plus it's very enjoyable to just have to do the dining room and tablescape (which is my favorite). There are no rules when it comes to this - so you do you and do what makes your heart happy and what is easier for you. I have found through raising 4 children that I had to change my routines all the time to accommodate their needs. This works with all things related to caring for home and family.

I’m so glad you started putting up your Christmas decor! It’s never too early to feel festive and add some additional sparkle to our lives! I currently have lights on my tree and love to get lost in watching the lights slowly fade on and off in random patterns! It’s so soothing and relaxing to just get mesmerized and lost in the shapes the lights create! 🤩
I think having Christopher come for a festive holiday decor extravaganza would be fabulous! I love what he did with his garlands this year! Also Rebecca Robeson and her daughter, Sharrah (Kinwoven) just posted some Christmas content for Sharrah and Tyler’s new home! There are tons of spectacular Christmas decor videos on Kinwoven (formerly Robeson Design) if you need any additional inspiration and/or instruction!
