Lovely song 2024 still listening 🎧
I Wish I Knew... this is the first song I heard when I was 16 years old, and tha'ts about 40 years ago, at a jazz coffee shop in Kobe, Japan. Never looked back on John Coltrane since. Thru thick and thin, thru happiness and despair, John was always where I could reach him. thank you Supreme Creator, for this legend in our lives. Amen.
David Sedaris mentioned listening to this with his Dad, I am eternally thankful as this touched my souls and released deep pain. Healing.
Funny. Me too!
Being apart of the newer generation of individuals I can honestly say they don't know the true beauty in music. I actually feel something towards a symphony so encapturing of an internal feeling. The amount of soul coming through his saxophone has spared me many desperate nights of sadness.
With the passing of Mr Tyner, the quartet is playing up above. May you all RIP.
RIP McCoy Tyner, heavenly pianist
@Sylas Toby pro tip: totally irrelevant to the glorious jazz we're here to listen to
"Concrete Cowboys" brought me to this beautiful piece 🎶
Same here parter
Same here
eternal and beautiful
I heard it from that movie, as well. Have been playing it daily as I paint as an artist. This song moves me to tears... it's so BEAUTIFUL. I truly feel this.
Me too
This is what Friday nights are made of.
Beautiful.
What a magnificent and heavenly rendition of this beautiful composition.
Coltrane is his usual masterful self with his subtle interpretation, McCoy Tyner's soft and dreamy style complementing, Elvin's "heartbeat" rhythmic backdrop and Jimmy's bass chords propel the flow of the life-giving "blood" flowing as lofty effusions.
Brother of the Universe. Trane. ♥ Great presence. Even now.
Love you choices .
I am grateful
Concrete Cowboy brought me here. What a great movie. And it introduced me to this great piece and a new artist to explore.
Phenomenal...

Reminds me of that one song from Pocket Mortys, still this puts me at ease
Anyone have the sheet music for the tenor sax part?
I want the piano music.
このイントロだよ。そして音数の少ないテナーサックス。ゆったりとした時が流れる。🙄
