I'm from Colorado, and I'm am proud of Craig and his sanctuary! Hez a god send to these animals! Please donate to his sanctuary as much as you can n please spread the word of his great work. It's expensive to run that place n he could use all the help he can get. Thank you!
14:00 still she couldn't even bring herself to mutter one iota of an "I'm sorry". I mean she is really good at talking around something isn't she. No wonder they hired her! She doesn't sound like she "wants to help inmates" as much as she wants to help the system. Big difference.
failure to admit wrongdoing = failure to apologize = lack of accountability. They are reacting to issues, not proactively eliminating them. Typical symptom of poor leadership.
It's a female They never apologize
To be fair, she works for the system. They pay her
your not wrong but still wouldn't you think the "system" want to just apeeze the public, guess not! @@SteveWillNotDoIt1984
I always thought males were the ones to never apologize. I guess women don't apologize either.
13:35 The more you listen, the more it is evident that Collette Peters is all talk, just like a politician who says all the correct things but changes nothing.
Exactly
She gave me a headache.
14:50 the fact that she couldn’t even say we are sorry for what happened to those women’s speaks volumes about her, her character and that facility
Awesome work Craig and The Wild Animal Sanctuary!
Rescuing the animals is an incredible task and borderline thankless. These volunteers embody the best of humanity and selflessness. Can't imagine the resistance they put up with and early days and late nights in tough weather. They're part of the invisible force around the world who are able to convince governments and organizations to turn money directly into helping others simply because it's the right thing to do.
Well said.
ECOLOGICAL FANATIC
I have been lucky enough to volunteer at the sanctuary in Colorado. It is an amazing place with amazing people! They do amazing things for animals and for people to learn about animal welfare.
@@anliabolinger Wow. Thanks for sharing your experience. Sounds like a wonderful place to visit.
I can't even watch about the animals being neglected. Why remove the animals and not do fundraising for renovating, medical care, food, caregivers, etc? What a mess.
Thank you💧
More than how they are treated, why are so many people incarcerated in The United States?
This is the bigger question that demands attention. Injustice, corruption, greed and social disarray all funneled thru the prism of money is a bad convergence. The destructive endpoint is disturbing and set to bring social upheaval not even America can handle.
Lots of contractors are being paid to run the prisons
Yeah but not by the Feds though
@@sherrywarnock6627TRUE!! In Australia too!
Cuz they privatize them
Love this show.
Very interesting stories & glad the last one Noah’s Ark had a happy ending 😅 thank u !
So you hire an accountant to work at one of these prisons and the accountant has to go through the academy to learn how to fire a pistol at the firing range from a standing kneeling supine and running position then he has to learn to shoot a shotgun from the shoulder and the hip and qualify on the firing range and then a nurse and a doctor as well correct? I don't believe that for one second The first time you get someone like an accountant or a doctor and you tell them they have to go to the academy they're going to tell you goodbye So I do not believe everyone has the exact same training
@20truck those kinds of people usually don’t make it pass the interview process. The rest all have the same training.
For inmates doing non violent crimes and crimes committed that result in less than $10,000 they need to reduce sentences. The Liverpool experiment needs to be applied where drug addicts are given prescription drugs as long as they hold down a job and have productive lives. 75% percent of drug addicts outgrow their addiction in 5 years and of the remainder most are using street drugs to self medicate for pain.
Exactly! I think meth addicts could benefit from a similar program putting them on Adderall. One thing is sure, the way we've approached addiction isn't helping anyone but the stockholders in the prison industrial system.
@@katiekane5247Most drug addicts are not sent to prison for drugs. Most are sent to prison for other crimes. It just so happens that the majority of armed robbers, thieves, and murderers are drug addicts.
I am 33, been on opiates 16 years, im clean now thankfully after police beat me. I got a titanium orbital bone now but it was a blessing in disguise. I'd still be using
We have a guy serving life for simple possession of 1½ ounces of Marijuana. He appealed and lost. No more chances. I can't remember which state. It's probably one where weed is still illegal.
I can walk into any 1 of 5 stores in my Oregon town and buy 2 Oz a day. Why the disparity? Where is the equal protection under law?
@@rcpilot179it's either Louisiana or Alabama those states I detest
Well, let me tell You, Interpol doesn't need to be coordinated, Interpol will coordinate what is needed to be coordinated! I wish only the best to Mr. Stock and also to all other officers of Interpol! God Bless Interpol! Andy from Slovakia ❤
call me weird, but there is something magical about big cats
My house cat would eat me when when I am sleeping . Our size difference saves me .
Its soo heartbreaking to see these abused animals.
It's funny how everyones shocked about this. None of this is new.
In every institution and every company somebody making money and staff suffer difficulties. Sad story
People Skills and Team Building. How to contribute to your community. Is not taught in Prison. These Prisoners are lacking in all three.
That guy with the glasses looks like Nicholas Alahverdian also known as Nicholas Rossi and Arthur Knight.
Much respect to the people involved with rescuing all those animals.
Taking advantage of animals like that is despicable.

@5:33 when you apply to these federal prison jobs that you qualify for and they don’t even call you back lol
Folks let's all be honest and candid, in this conversation. Please remember that some of these inmates are there trying to manipulate staff for favors. Although it is unconscionable and unlawful for staff members to take advantage of these inmates. Occasionally these inmates are trying to take advantage of a situation and put themselves in a situation where they're trying to manipulate guards. And remember guards are just human beings although it's not an excuse. Let's talk about the one woman that escaped, from one of the most intense segregated units on the face of the United States. We'll blame the guard. And she caught him into assisting her and her Escape. Does anyone believe that these women who are behind bars don't have the ability to manipulate a man. Answer me that question. So not all these women are being raped and abused, some of them are doing it in anticipation of special favors. Let's not lose sight of that fat.
Who wants to work in a prison .
The prisoners can rehabilitate themselfs. Open a book.
I'm from mayaguez Puerto Rico back in the days was a nice zoo i been in new york for more 25 years a break my heart seen this i yous too sneak my way in to the zoo they're was no security if they was they have the are sleeping some people steal animals and sale them is sad to much coroption thanks for helping this majestic animal
⚛️⏰ the clock was always my favorite part of this show
That warden is one slippery little snake wouldn't trust her an inch.
157.000..must be more! Check your facts!
I think over a million!
You owe me seventeen minutes and six seconds.
Haha, as a European I agree. But it's CBS, not PBS, BBC or any other non-commercial channel 😂
@@VNExperiencefor which one, interpol?
like as EU's did you guys already know Interpol was dirty
Those inmates do t look afraid. They were too quick to tell on the institution. They are either: courageous, stupid, or telling lies
I'm going to go with the last two
@@sitdowndogbreathyou wouldn't if you ended up there .. and many innocent get rail roaded or people get sentences far out weighing the gravity of their crimes .. especially with min maditory and three strike sentences .. .. you only see and hear what they want you too , not how it really is or works or how corrupt the system is ,,
Deaths ears and tons more than you know about
I am a 20 year school teacher. Thought about being a teacher in the prison system, as a way of contributing to society and facing a new challenge at the end of my career. The paperwork and difficulty of finding those jobs and figuring out the system and understanding information, made me give up. It is classic Federal red tape creating their own problems. They have unfilled positions (40% !!!) because people who value their time and money don't want to get involved.
Why did interpol failed to arrest Putin 😊
Interpol cannot arrest anyone especially about Vladimir Putin
Interpol is just a middleman that puts two law enforcement agencies in connection with each other to make arrests in another country.
Interpol can only send the requests, at the end of the day it is the countries they are in that send them back.
Why not arrest George Bush??
3:55 Talking about productive taxpayers. Perhaps If the irs would not steal half the money working would be more attractive lol
I was in Dublin in California back in 2002, I don't remember that CO, and honestly it wasn't that bad at all. And a month after I arrived is when the Fed's took our personal room keys away. We had great food, great school programs, good mental health staff and doctors, plenty of yard time, and had 2 man cells at the main prison. It reminded me of college dorms, we even had tennis courts, and yes, we played tennis, hand ball, & we had a hugh weight area, and an even bigger gymnasium.
Then, I was transferred over too the open camp part of the prison. It sat right on the military base. And only after being in the main side for 4 months.
On the camp side, we had even more freedom and resources. We worked very close with the prison guards.
I worked at the base doing landscaping.
So for me seeing this video now in 2024, it's rather sad bc seeing how the system has crumbled severely since my stay, it just blows me away.
Ohh btw, I only did 2 years, and since my release, I haven't turned back. I promised myself that I would never spend another second inside of any prison walls. I never did any state time, thank God. But throughout my years I have been in country jails way too much.
As I said earlier, that's all far behind me now. A lesson learned fs, I pray for other's that they too will 'get it' and not go back in after their release.
Blessings Beautiful Souls 👁️✨🕊️❤️
The Fed's, was enough for me
Are you the warden?

That or illegal Aliens.
Illegal Aliens are wanting to get into correctional facilities. They Do the crimes to get there but Democrat judges and district attorneys keep releasing them so they can go back out and do more Crimes.
There are people ready to get in just have to get them there.
at 10:52, what the hell dudes doing in gals only prison, i don't care government excuse about it but these inmates whatever they've done they are still human being and train them with today jobs requirement not outdated skills that wont fly
1:00 is he talking about the US and the Erin Marie Olszewski nurse whistleblower exposa in 2020?
Interpol should investigate WEF
Awesome lawsuits 👍👍
Oh and locks up some of the most innocent people in the world too.
9:54 my mother, taught me to always keep your house clean. Don’t just clean it up when you expect guest. I know she thinks that answer was clever, but it wasn’t.
What about the victims?
Put these people in PRISON that violated these inmates!
They aren't animals that you were in charge of...
😵😬🤬👎👎💔
Increase the age cut off, and relax the vision standards..your staffing issues will be solved.
Visibility is the number one way to keep you safe in prison. The more-better-farther-clearer you can see the safer you are
Every one of those ppl that left those animals in that condition need to go directly to hell its disgusting.. very thankful to the rescuers
everyone who spoke bad about Warden got 30 lashes same da.
Safe and secure Staffing is always a challenge with any first and second responder groups. What are they are janitors, nurses or doctors, private security, law enforcement or members of the highway department!
The amount of support share a common denominator which seems to be kneecapped whether it is with proper training, payrolls or benefits, support by means of adequate Equipment and Office Space...
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
When I was younger, I watched 60 Minutes religiously. Now it has gotten so dark and politically polarized, I consider it a waste of time. I say to 60 Minutes get more positive and more politically balanced or shut the hell up.
... 40:30 ... Seriously Christopher, seriously? ... AGAIN!?! wtf?
Larry Lawton will tell you the truth about the BOP. NEEDS TO BE OVERHAULED

Being poor.
Well to be fair it is Jail. Its not supposed to be particularly comfortable.

1.9 million incarcerated in US prisons (as of end of 2023). ..
That’s an entire population of some nations
America - the land of the free - has 20% of the world's prison population.
Lo mejor que pudieron hacer fue cerrar ese zoológico. El gobierno de Puerto Rico no puede darle servicios basicos a su gente , imaginate como van a poder ayudar a estos animales.
I was a federal CO at 22 yrs old. The female inmates wanted me daily. They offerred everything you could imagine and sometimes it was difficult saying no. But they were the aggressors.

This smells like uscca paid some ppl off to me. Lawyers were the ones talking about what happened and your story is weak about him taking a public defender. You have to ask for one and why would he do that if he has such great insurance.
Is this drama, or is there something actually being done about it?

How would that French Interpol guy like it if his brother was falsely accused and listed on Interpol?!
America is abusing Assange and Snowden for blowing the whistle on American corruption. Bradley Manning was tortured by America. Don't make out you come form a righteous country.

The cartel should put some money into the animal rescue program in Puerto Rico. They have money to burn.
Some agents or employees dont get it..Depending on the circumstances you dont go by the book ..Then you definitely dont go on 60 minutes claiming you know what your talking about...This job is a double edged sword

They only seem to prioritise the extradition when it's politically expedient to them. For example a friend works with Bank of America and she tells me that people come from Africa and Eastern Europe and steal millions from usually elderly or vunerable people's life savings by manipulation and social engineering. And they are able to just leave the country when the heat comes on or they've had their fill with impunity, because the government doesn't view them as 'high enough of a priority' even though it's easy to know who they are and work out where they went. People commit suicide over losses like this, and the penalty should be proportionate
The prison lady should have plucked those eyebrows into a confused look. Just sayin'.
The USA probably #1
I saw tbis woman in congress and she was inadequate with facts and data, so to hear her say that !!😁😊

These systems are designed to keep the offenders to carry on commiting crime . Wether in or out of prison they are condemned for ever. This is great for the system and partially for society. They generate capital! Provide Jobs and make authorities look nobel and Hero. In general it's the offenders who are the victim and doomed without real and humane organ to support to rehabilitate. Remember! Nothing bring wealth like crime. and those who benefit aren't in prisons.
Puerto Rico let the Arecibo Observatory fall to pieces, and lets a Zoo fall to pieces. WTF is wrong with Puerto Rico?
Russia 🇷🇺 brings news about culture, history, new bridge, museum construction. US, about prison system. Fascinating 🤨
11:07 They’re criminals
Even if the woman are criminals it doesn't give men the "RIGHT" to rape them. Just like the 60 minutes lady said the officers, doctor, teacher,& the rest of the staff is there to do there jobs. Not to harm people. They are just as bad as the "criminals" some even worse!
Hold on. I'm interested in this report and appalled, but... "whistle blower" Tess worked for 25 years, and just recently noticed something wrong? It is a little fishy. She may have an axe to grind.

I really like that chick who is the Director of Fed Prisons! She is tough, tough, tough!! 60 minutes gave her some tough questions and she answered correctly. I hope she stays and works towards her goals. I will remembe Collette Peters.

Here we have another area, like dozens more, where Republican tax cuts achieved under Republican presidents and Republican-majority Senate and Houses have starved institutions and departments of the money they need to operate sufficiently. Republican Party is beholden to the ultra-rich, who have had there's and corporations taxes slashed repeatedly by nearly every Republican administration since Reagan, including Bush2 and Trump.
Yeah, yeah, really, some people are trying to help. So many have no self management skills. It's hard to get out of prison.
