- this cheap and easy fix will have your fuel-injected dirtbike back on the track ripping in no time! should work on most fuel-injected dirtbikes or street bikes! replacing your fuel filter is a lot easier than many people think! and cheaper than replacing the entire fuel pump itself.

Had backfire bogging issue on my 15 kx450. This quick fix has it running great and sounds healthy! Thanks man
Wow! Thanks so much for posting this!! I thought I was going to have to replace the fuel pump because the manual says you can’t service them! You’re awesome!! That was a piece of cake
I am glad I saved you a couple bucks!
Wow dude that's awesome thank you for taking the tank back off and going through the same process to show us... I think I may have the same problem ...going to try it out soon.👍😁🔥
Yessir I definitely want to help other people out!! Let me know if it works
@@Nolan320 ok
Thanks for making this video, you explained a lot of details
hell yeah i have a 13 suzuki 250 and it pops and i adjusted the valves so hopefully this works
I hope it works for you too! Best of luck
I have the same bike doing this tomorrow
@@sergiomz21 did u fix it I also have a 13 rmz250 and it's doing this
Yes i did i bought this thing called a TPSTOOL to adjust your throttle position sensor to spec this was definitely my issue my bike has been completely normal since then .58-.62 is the range make sure you look into this i went crazy trying to find issue but learned alot in the process

Sweet! The thumper's back in business
Does gas leak from the black tip that the fuel hose go to ? I replaced fuel pump with a aftermarket kemso fuel pump on eBay an I didnt have fuel in it when I put it back together so everything seemed good started great but days later wen I removed fuel line from black tip on tank , fuel started coming out almost non stop from black tip so I put back on the oem fuel pump an it didn’t leak anymore so I’m just curious to see if you having the same problem with your aftermarket fuel pump ?
Thanks bro for the vid, I have a 2012 kx250f and it bogs and back fires pretty badly, hopefully this is the problem!!
Yep this worked for me so if yours still backfired and bogs after you replace the fuel filter I would definitely check your timing and valve gaps
was it the problem
Hey man my 16’ kx450 is having the same problem. Did that fix it?
Bro Thankyou! Tremendous help was going to take it to a shop
My kx250f bogs until a certain rpm’s do yk what I need ?
Haunted barn doors 0:50👀
The atv opened it
it was so windy hahaha, gets lowkey scary in there at night
Thanks for sharing brah 🤙 I have a 2016 YZ250f 4 stroke & it's fuel injected but basically it pops & ends up dying out 20-30 seconds. Any tips my man?
Have you checked the valve clearance and timing? If that’s all correct then I would pull the throttle body off, make sure the choke plunger is clean by unscrewing it all the way off the throttle body assembly, if all that looks good I’d check the compression and fuel system after that
Dumb question, but if the kickstarters locked , it’s definitely seized at that point right ?
On a four stroke not exactly, could mean your timing is off
umm my 2008 ktm 250 xcf-w doesnt have a pump. What do I do then?
It’s probably carbureted
Hey bro that first part you took off from the fuel pump(the on that say the little circle clip holding it in) what is it called? And what is your stuff purpose
I’m not sure what the clip would be called as there is no way to purchase it from a oem parts diagram
@@Nolan320 not the clip but the part that the clip holds in
@@AmateurGeologistthat is the fuel pump pressure regulator
Worked for me thanks bro
I have a problem when I start my engine and it's cold, when I pull it up, when I start it, it keeps high revs, then at one point there is a sound from the exhaust and it shuts off.
What kind of bike is it
So sick bro🤝 aye adjust that camera Thoe would help a lil more 😂
i have a kx250 2016 and gas is leaking around the throttle body but idk where it could b from cuz there’s so much any chance u might know😂
I would suggest taking the throttle body out and trying to trace where the dirt is leading up to as dirt will stick to where fuel is, also check the boot around your air box as these bikes have secondary fuel injectors right up by the air filter
@@Nolan320 it is leaking from the boot a decent amount u think that would b why it what’s to die on idle
Yeah I would inspect the boot see if you can repair it with silicone instead of buying a new one as they are expensive
Hey i have the same exact problem he is asking about, but i replaced the rear injector new oring too was wondering if a bad fuel pump/filter would cause this problem!! It’s leaking heavy gas from the top of the boot and also flooding the bike a bit while idling
Found my problem was a rip in my airbox boot slight tear but it was the issue!!! Now have an idle hanging problem
where can i get that clip that holds the fuel line onto the gas tank?
Look up a oem parts diagram for your bike and it will have the part number for it
would this work on a klx 230r
I bet this is why mine won’t start it runs for 12 seconds and spudders then backfires and dies
Great vid. Thanks
how would you prime the fuel pump?
Slowly kick the bike so it doesn’t start for a little bit
Rad bro appreciate it
Yo, how do i know if i should replace the pump as well. or should i just get the filters
Honestly I’m not sure it just depends on if you wanna go ahead and buy it or not
@@Nolan320 Alright. i got a 2018 kx250f and when it’s cold i start it and it’ll die. but when i warm it up a bit then it stays on easy and runs great. except whenever i rev it up while riding afterwards it backfires. probably the filter or pump right
@@davidiancu9184 make sure everything in your head is right first, timing, spark, valve gap, and compression. Then replace the filter
@@Nolan320 i don’t know much on how to deal with the head😭 like idk how to check my valves and and all that. this seems like the easiest and cheapest option ngl. bike has good compression though and it’s easy to start to my first guess was this. but i’ll check my spark plug while i’m at it as well
@@davidiancu9184 it can be intimidating but if you own a dirt bike it’s pretty much required to know how to work on a engine too bc they require lots of maintenance, but if it starts easy then you are probably fine and go ahead and try out replacing the filter, I mean it’s only like $10
will this work on a kx 100?
No
I have a 2010 kx250f all it does is bog down when off of choke and dies it’s been cleaned more than once
What has been cleaned more than once? Those are before fuel injection so I’m not really sure what the problem could be as this video is focused towards fuel injected bikes
My bike was bogging and I opened mine and it was black I def needa replace it💀
Yep! Glad this helped
Rad Bro7
Hey bro your valves are bad that’s a hell of a tic
No It’s just the camera picking up that sound range, if you listen at the beginning when I was revving it in the shop there is no tick
will this work on a kx 100?
No
