The lats movement sounds legit however those who tried it have noticed how much you are limited in progression due to torque force trying to rotate your body
I’ve started using the high row machine at my gym instead cuz it’s essentially the same movement but way more stable. I just put the seat down a little low to get a deeper stretch.
