yeah and for those going:
- make sure every container (bugspray, sunscreen) will not spill when it is closed because my bug spray spilled all over me
- you have like 30 minutes to get ready in the morning, so (if you wear makeup) bring light light makeup and really good setting spray because 1) you will sweat it off in the day if it's summer and 2) you may think 30 minutes is a long time but when you just woke up and are all slow and groggy and have to brush your teeth and style your hair and get dressed it goes by really quickly so you don't have much time for a lot of makeup
- BRING. FLIP FLOPS. FOR. SHOWER. (or some kind of sandals) because the shower floor has a whole bunch of other dirty feet touching it
- if you're going to the summer camp then bring shorts or light clothes and deodorant, it gets REALLY hot
- bug spray is really important too
- and bring extra cash because there is a gift shop and vending machines in case you get hungry (or actually bring your own chips it's much less expensive)
Your a kid why do u need make up
you don’t need bug spray. i’ve been twice and didn’t bring any bug spray either time. you only need it for one day, and they have some there for you already

For those of you going don’t forget to pack a blanket too... like... 5 fluffy blankets you use during winter because they blankets they give you are towels. TOWELS. And I don’t know about the other habitats in the main building but the ones that are like the one she’s in right now get VERY cold. (Bring a pillow too, pillows handed out are mad uncomfortable)

Imagine if she didn’t catch the last item
i went last year and these are some things i will be bringing this year:
-a shower caddy to take soap, shampoo, etc in with you, as well as a bag to put your clean clothes and towel in. there is NO space in the shower to sit your things to keep them dry.
-a sleeping mask. the bright LEDS are kept on all night and the light illuminates the bunk rooms pretty brightly.
-a standing, small mirror. if you do makeup, this is a lifesaver. the bathrooms are overflowing in the morning, and doing your makeup/hair from your bunk makes things so much easier.
-more $1s. you use the vending machines more than you think.
-more blankets/bedding. the keep it COLD.
-better quality socks. you’ll be getting 12k+ steps a day. the only times you’re not on your feet is during seminars and meals.
-earplugs. you never know which one of your roomies will snore.
-lip balm. forgot it, and i was suffering all week 😭
-BRING MULTIPLE PENS. you will need them and they only give you one for the week.
-if you’re going during summer, don’t bother bringing anything other than shorts. it’s HOT.
-open toed sandals like Chacos are best
this year idk even know what i should bring i might under pack but idk i had a good time last time so.

I would recommend bring headphones cause when. Went last year they let us watch RUclips and stuff on are phones and I couldn’t cause i forgot headphones

Freya Sadler the thing is for my school it's only for seventh grade. Which means it was once in a lifetime.😔 Congrats tho!
Space Camp is for all ages, you can apply or sign-up for space camp outside of your school if you're really interested. You can also apply to get a scholarship if you can't pay the camp fees.
Can't wait to go this August!
I'm going in for the space academy in 2 days packing was a lot to stuff into my bags both my day pack and suitcase was stuffed but it can be done and I can't wait till I wake up tomorrow and get to start my journey by heading to Alabama the pillow took up most of my packing room but mine can be squeezed if you plan on taking 2 bring a smaller one and one average size and you can also use the pillowcases as storage plus having the cases on the pillows can save space

What about those with asthma or diabetes ? ( I don't have diabetes, but what about those who need epi pens, for example ? )
I'd suggest , instead of sandals , rain shoes. You can wear socks with them if you need to.
