The gym is so helpful. I go to the gym every week for the last 3 months. It really helped me focus on important things instead of intrusive thoughts.

Tyler I just started going to the gym. I share the same diagnosis with you. It is a real battle. My second goal is getting a job. I have been looking for a job since 2019 and it’s been a challenge. My first episode happen to me when I was 23 now I’m 27, it’s been a long journey. Keep it up will get through this. I’m just hoping to get my sense of urgency back

Thanks for sharing. I will say you sound insightful about what you need to do and that’s a good thing. I feel you about wanting to work again. That’s been a top priority of mine as well. I’m just genuinely unsure if I’m ready or not. I don’t want any commitment to throw me into another state of mania that costs me all of my progress. I’m happy to hear you’re going to the gym! Keep up the amazing work.

We got to Tyler. Aside of all the psch meds that I have been on; the hardest thing has been to troubleshoot myself again. I have applied for disability but they clearly told me that and abled body to work trying to reapply these year let’s see how that goes. But yes it’s difficult, to get past those mental battles. Sometimes I feel like I ain’t smart anymore and challenge with my physical as been a burden. Personally I have been complaint with medication, but I do notice changes as when I started and how I used to feel before I was 23. The most thing I miss is my sense of urgency, daily showers and movement all that changes, routine changes. In the mist of all my experience my mom health was not at its best too. I grew up in Christian belief and that’s been very dear and close to me giving me motivation on a daily basis. Let’s keep moving forward.

I think shaving the beard was a good idea. You look good. I think self grooming is vital for a positive mindset. I feel like a million bucks after a shower, shave, brushed teeth & floss, clean clothes, combed hair, nails trimmed etc.

I totally agree. I do feel much better after the shave. I was given an electric razor by my cousin and then another electric razor by a friend and the two razors combined worked their magic. Now that I have reliable razors, I will be shaving regularly. The days of dollar tree razors is finally over! lol

    Acknowledging your visual change Tyler.
Depressive episodes are sooo loaded with negatives eh.
It’s very big being around the machines, the noise, the people and still moving forward. I like being on this journey with you.

I can't walk much due to illness but I have some pedals that I put next to a chair and pedal because I can't exercise standing up.

i had some manias also! i gave away 10k$, all my savings, and then got extorted. i almost killed myself except for having a no suicide pact with people from after my brother suicided. i ended up losing the 100 lbs i gained and now i eat healthy food only and no more manisa. i had to give up marijuana though, it causes mania in me. thanks for sharing everything. i feel less alone hearing your stories.
