We almost didn’t go to the desert as it was further away but we’re so glad we did because it was an unforgettable experience to sit on the dunes watching the sunset ☺️ Glad we could take you virtually there too!

I've heard of the deserts in China, but never seen them until now. Thanks for showing us. I can't wait to get a taste of China next year, I will be in Hong Kong for about 6 days and hope to get a train into mainland China for at least a day while there.
It was certainly pretty unique to go from big cities, to deserts, to snow-capped mountains all in the same region of China! Shenzhen or even Guangzhou would be good choices for a day trip ☺️

This was so epic.The sliding down the sand dunes had me being totally scared for you, but your laughter and your screams made for great entertainment as well as your joyous smile.This looks much scarier than any rollercoaster in my opinion. Just a little weight to the left or right and you turn into a tumbleweed going thru the dessert. Glad you both survived and enjoyed the experience. Thank you both for taking us on this journey. Very nice desert view. We went to Turpan this May, but our tour didn't include the desert. You should visit North Xinjiang , Hemu Village, Kanas Lake, etc, very beautiful sceneries.

Hope you also travel to Hami and Dunhuang cities / towns (on the way to Guansu province) the music at 9:50 is the best part of the video Dunhuang also has a crane and ropes operated machine that let you fly up about 600 feet and come down with arms spread like an angel - try that please - I can't do that any more but you can do and I can see your videos and be happy

hahahah.. we were just there during the national holiday.. we stayed at the same hostel, took the same arranged taxi by Dap Hostel to go around Turpan, went to the exact places you went. Love Wundou , super chill hostel and lovely owner. Super love this video as it reminded me of when we were there a few weeks ago. Turpan is a place where you could learn a lot of things and see a lot of cultural sites.

I love your contents as you don’t just share for clout, I’m learning a lot from your travels in China (for me China as well as Japan are countries that are “otherworldly”). Thanks for sharing your great experience!! Maybe you could take high-speed train to Turpan from Urumqi, and then use DiDi APP to hail a car to the accommodation and tourist attractions. It would be faster I guess. Xinjiang is sooo huge, and I visited there 3 times for Northern Xinjiang (Kanas & Burqin) & Eastern Xinjiang (Turpan) & Urumqi, Southern Xinjiang (Kashgar) & Urumqi, Western Xinjiang (Ili) & Urumqi, respectively.

@@FloraandNote No, we are in the Gurbantünggüt desert north of Ürümqi. It’s not as well known but there really aren’t any tourists here. Very remote 😅

We honestly met some of the nicest people here in Turpan that made our trip more fun and memorable. The sand buggy driver was soo funny and animated 🤣
