@Michael Gant 1982......the bad enuff album .....I co-wrote steppen out and sang lead on it and in and out with The great Danny Webster. Then...i sang every song on the new plateau album. Featuring a duet with the fantastic Floyd Miller on share your love which I actually co-wrote.
Confunkshun is among the best of r&b bands and one of the few bands that are yet performing. Such a MULTI-TALENTED BAND! They sing and play simultaneously and the play several different instruments. Felton plays the keyboard as well as horns. This band is phenomenal!
💫✨ Add the bass ((🎸)) to Felton’s 📝 list ; these guys are an unbelievable reservoir of talent, knowledge, experience, and life as they’ve experienced it individually as well as collectively - definitely, ‘More Than 🌹 Love’! 💫✨
Back in the day of Grooving in our bell bottoms jeans platform shoes big Afro hair styles vested top wear and pure dancing from the soul train music here come this group of funky Musician singers rocking the world. Old school.
This band is a whole vibe!! Love me some Michael Cooper and Confunkshun. I'm looking at 2023 tour dates. I am grateful I grew up listening to this music❤️❤️❤️
man the band is tight, an cooper voice is strong,he dont miss a lick on that guitar, i play guitar, but i have never been able to sing and play guitar at the same time
I had the pleasure of seeing ConFunkShun at a small venue in South Bend Indiana. Great show! Real Horns, Old School Funk, and great songs! Michael Cooper is one of the most underrated lead guitar players as his vocals get so much focus. The new bass player is very good but let me say this: There is only one Eric EQ!! I miss him with ConFunkshun
@@jeffsnow886 Funny you say that because I had to look closely before I was able to determine EQ wasn't with them as they look similar. As mentioned, he was a very good bass player but so many of us have been spoiled by that EQ medley for years! Hopefully they will turn the Cousin loose like they used to do EQ.
I was born on two beautiful singer's birthdays Brotha Peabo Bryson and Brotha/Preacher Al Green and I'm also a Motown baby 🥰 and l know good music and they are Good musicans👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️🖤💚🥰❤️🖤💚 Blessings to everyone
Con funk shun was one of my favorite groups. And the barkays, lakeside, and baddest Earth. Wind & Fire. Cameo so many good music groups. But my one and only group was LTD with Jeffery Osborne. But this particular group was a group who didn't have to make a song for a couple of years. And would still have everyone jamming. The one and only Frankie Beverly & Maze shout out to the 504.
July 4,2022 they were performing a free concert in Stockbridge, Ga Amphitheater. During their second song Shake & Dance With Me it started raining heavily with lightning. City officials cancel the remaining concert. Man! Was I disappointed.
Their genre is in their name. One of the funkiest bands to ever hit the stage. Let's not forget the soul tunes they have also bought into the funk. Yes, we can also add that they are Rnb too. A band full of Legends! "Aaaaaaaaw sho nuff".
I'm Leaving you for me, sadness kinda reminds me of Isaac Hayes' By The Time I Get To Phoenix. I wish they'd sang Chase Me.. You Can Chase Me! These gentlemen ..love em thanks for sharing!
Yoshi's Oakland...one of the best small venues! I got to see Mint Condition...Sheila E there...great spot in the Bay Area. CONFUNKSHUN...One of the great funk bands of my era!!! They still tight as too. 😊
These group should have a good time at Darryl Halls’ house! these group are timeless, excellent, & talented group of musicians! which are now at these age & current year has no equal or no more! all are rappers, & singers but cannot play musical instruments!!!

It's Con Funk Shun, formerly known as Project Soul, from Vallejo, California in the 707! I was just a high school kid when I met the original drummer and co-founder of CFS, Louis McCall, Sr., in 1980. I actually got his table ready at Colony Kitchen, a restaurant that no longer exists in the North end of Vallejo. Rest in Peace Eternally Louis McCall, Sr. CFS forever!
This band is Funk Legends, why isn't people throwing down on the One chanting the roof is on fire, if I was there I would of been dancing and chanting, meaning I would be in jeans, tee shirt, brim, foot gear, this is Funk
They still sound good after all these years-" Shake And Dance with Me" was my jam(summer 1978)-so much good music then, where did it all go? I don't like the music of today and these groups had it goin' on-straight up. Oh-I forgot to ask-what happened to the bass player? 2-3-23.
