Im with you, I just ordered a Dji phantom with a bunch of upgrades for FPV, Bluetooth data link for the iPad which should be really cool, gimbal and a bunch of other neat stuff. I've decided to just send back the 350QXs' a wait to see what happens. My buddy who lost his as well spoke to H.H today & they said that they are working on a solution for the props. Its still a great quad so I'll just have to be patient.
Yup, I'm glad I went with the DJI Phantom. Even lucked out and got V1.1.1 with the gimbal lever on back of Tx and duel antenna. Knock on wood, approx. 20 flights and no issues.
think horizons quality control sucks. You would think a model would have to pass some heavy testing before it is released to the market place, I'm sure DJI are loving these videos. I was waiting for reviews on the qx 350 before I bought one. now I have decided it going to be a DJI for me. cheers mate hope you have some better flying in the future.
I was hopeing the epoxy trick was going to work. I just requested my B blades today, but maybe it won't make any difference. It sounds like maybe there may be a motor problem as well. If so even adapters aren't going to help. ( Damn) Wayne
I had the same thing happen twice now. After over 3 hours of perfect flight time it went inverted once from a 4 foot hover, rebuilt with a new shell and it did it again from an 8 foot hover. Not sure I can afford to keep repairing it. Just sent Horizon a message asking about it. Sounds like I am not alone.
Yeah one of them is but its definitely the props, I was playing with one, I grabbed the hub and was able to pill it apart with ease...almost feels like a hard wax that crumbs when squished..lol
One original prop broke, so they are sending me the new one's. Waiting for the new one's then I'll add the apoxy. I was just asking if it was the same motor throwing the prop's or was it just random. If a motor wasn't running true it could set up a vibration that could cause a failure in a prop at a wk spot.
What happened?, did you try the epoxy? The bearings should be ok, they just make noise . Unless it gets really loud then I'd worry. I ordered ceramic barring from Boca Bearings. That will make it smoother .
AMEN.......... TOTAL JUNK...... To bad they are such garbage cause they out fly the Phantom like a Corvette over a Yugo....But they wont stay in the air...Props, Main Boards are weak...Motors are junk and for inside toys....RECALL!!!
i'm thinking of taking mine to the local shop to see if we can come up with a solution too. does your new QX's motors with broken props make those sound too?

I wasn't offered paid shipping but my buddy was and they emailed him a shipping label so I'm sure if you ask they will email you one.

I wish i was. This really sucks cause this is a really good flying quad. I've got a possible fix but i need to test it first. I'll keep u posted.
