      Thank you. I decided to do a lot more jig fishing this year. It's how I used to catch crappie all the time. A lot of people seem interested so I thought I'd start showing how I like to jig fish. But I also like using a customized Beetle spin with a bobby Garland jig and live minnow. Mainly because it increases my size of crappie I catch. I guess the old saying still stands. Bigger bait catches bigger fish. LoL 😂 not always true but it does make a difference.

      I have been out your way via motorcycle on back roads. It is very beautiful country out your way too.
      We are probably in the same frost zone. Difference being that within a few miles of putting in in water that looks like yours... I can be in brackish inland tidal flats... and a few miles after that I can be in pure salt flats.

    I really enjoy your videoes. But I have to disagree with you on the loop knot. While hanging in the air as you demonstrate how the jig hangs, yes a loop knot tied jig will jist hang there vertically. However, in the water the jig should hang in a natural position. Least wise mine does. Keep bringing the videos...

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you. I appreciate it. I use a loop knot with a double jig rig but I like the trilene knot when I bobber fish. Just a personal choice. Whatever helps us imitate the bait so we can fill that cooler works great for me. More coming soon 😊

      Yes, almost any rod you can fish for them with. But you will probably want to upgrade one day to a light rod. They're sensitive and you can feel the bite really easy. They are also easy to hold for a long day of fishing.
