Thank you very much for creating this it brought back lots of lovely memories. Was hoping you’d going to the church, and then I might be able to spot my grandpa’s cousin William Henry Cheseldine 1897-1917 I was told there is a plaque in the church
Thank you for this lovely video. I was born in Louth in 1962 and lived there until i was 10. It's fascinating to see so many of the buildings i remember, although so many have different businesses in them of course. And everything looks so much smaller! I guess i was pretty short then 😊. Living in New Zealand now.
this is so lovely, Lee Harrison, thank you. I lived in Louth 1964-1970 and there have been a great many changes. At the same time, it is so familiar and comfortable to wander with you along the streets, a really nice way to pass some time in my cold Canadian December. I wish you all good things in this festive season.
As always Lee thank you for a great video. I always enjoy your walks.Thank you for taking the time to do this for us, especially those of us that do not live in Louth anymore. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 😊
Another superb video Lee. So pleased I took the time to watch it. The lighting was wonderful and the pace just right. Perhaps you should do another, particularly at the west end of town, commentating on the history of the buildings and other landmarks. For instance, Tennyson's wall that you walked past; the Wheatsheaf is the second oldest pub, 1625. Ye Olde White Swanne is the oldest: 1612 ... etc. etc. Contact Louth Civic Trust for any information, or read books written by Dr. Richard Gurnham which contain a wealth of fascinating facts. Thanks again.
Thank you for the information. I plan to do another Louth vídeo around Easter. I have walked past that wall not realising it is Tennyson’s wall. I will give that a mention and also the pub’s age. Happy New Year…
Thank you. Louth is a lovely town to live in. I grew up in the town but moved away for a few years. I moved back to Louth from living in a city 20 years ago. No regrets and the lifestyle is pretty relaxed here 😃.
I would like to get a drone. I’m in Australia at the moment. I have a friend here with one that is going to give me a demo. It probably won’t be this year but it is something I would like to get into.
Memories of my home town ❤😢
