Guys, great idea to go with the latest iKamper
But, for anyone used to the outdoors in wetter climates like Europe, an awning without walls is a non-starter. Lots of South African and Australian alternatives out there with walls…but hopefully they will catch up one day

Can the roof be angled to ensure it has a slope so that water or snow doesn't accumulate on top in winter?
can you guys make an annex out of the awning.. also a pass thru from the tent into the annex when the awning is deployed...thanks
Def doesn't have everything we need to know...how does it mount? Will it work with skycamp mini that's centered on bedrack? Showing a new awning with tent that's not available yet isn't very helpful. For the price of this awning I'd like to know EVERYTHING.....

Is it Possible to use the 270 awning as a 180? I have a Open Pickup and can only mount this at the frontside of my Car

Currently shopping for awnings
Does the driver side strap need to go to passenger side and hook it up there? I’m worried that path got blocked by a roof rack on top of the cab and my truck is lifted by 6 in. It’s not impossible but it adds some significant effort when setting it up.
@@iKamper This sounds awesome! If there’s some accessories that could help secure both side straps to the bed rack itself, it would be even better! TBH I’m considering between Exoshell and Alu Cab Shadow awning. I’d appreciate the bigger room under the awning but also the ease of setup/packing is extremely important to me given my truck is lifted by 6 inch and now I’m already struggling when trying to reach the awning when mounting at the top of the bed rack.
I think the roof frame of the trunk area which is duplicated with final small frame can be used as 180 version temporarily under the condition not put the final small frame out from the longer frame which duplicated together.
Due to my vehicle is normal SUV which a trunk is opening toward to upper direction, I have to consider 180 version. BUT it is not that realistic at this moment. But I want to get the coolest awning design like you made. Please answer my question if possible, Thank you in advance.

@@iKamper 30kg? Oooooh. Getting on the heavy side. This, plus a hard-shell RTT, a 160W solar panel and possibly 2 pairs of Maxtrax will exceed my roof load carrying capacity.

I agree. Looks like it would be a great awning for short wheelbase camper vans.
