  • Parapsychology is a fringey field of physics that involves the study of mind over matter effects. Many elite universities had parapsychology departments in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. At American Alchemy, we think the field is worthy of further inquiry. On this episode, we explore two of parapsychology’s most mind blowing instantiations. The first is a government psychic spy program called Stargate. I interview one of the psychic spies in the program, a guy named Paul Smith, who now teaches people to remote view. The second is a parapsychologist at Princeton named Herb Metz who studies random event generators (or very simple/basic computers) that people can affect with their minds. Pretty insane stuff. If you don’t believe me, watch the episode and see for yourself!

While under the influence of Ayahuasca, I have felt a strange connection to the electricity flowing through a lamp, as if I had a strong influence on it. I then focused on the lamp and tried to increase the current of electricity flowing through it, and the light bulb popped. This has happened for me twice, both times the light bulb died and had to be replaced.
When they happened I dismissed these experiences as chance events, but having seen your video here, as well as your video where you interview Hal Puthoff, I have decided that I will experiment further with ESP when I have time for it.

This is the kinda stuff that keeps me up at night, the CIA wouldn’t fund a program for almost 30 years if it wasn’t producing some type of results. That leaves me to believe only one thing, that this is all true, which leads me into the next line of thought, why hasn’t this changed the fabric of society as we know it? Why isn’t this openly talked about/studied? Why aren’t we teaching people from a young age how to do remote viewing?

    • @nikbates23
      @nikbates23 Год назад +1

The project operated out of a wooden barracks with an operation budget of 500k a year. The cia never funded the program. They actually cut the funding after the programs oversight was transferred from the DIA to the CIA in 1995
Statement given on the closure of the program:
"The foregoing observations provide a compelling argument against continuation of the program within the intelligence community. Even though a statistically significant effect has been observed in the laboratory, it remains unclear whether the existence of a paranormal phenomenon, remote viewing, has been demonstrated. The laboratory studies do not provide evidence regarding the origins or nature of the phenomenon, assuming it exists, nor do they address an important methodological issue of inter-judge reliability.
Further, even if it could be demonstrated unequivocally that a paranormal phenomenon occurs under the conditions present in the laboratory paradigm, these conditions have limited applicability and utility for intelligence gathering operations. For example, the nature of the remote viewing targets are vastly dissimilar, as are the specific tasks required of the remote viewers. Most importantly, the information provided by remote viewing is vague and ambiguous, making it difficult, if not impossible, for the technique to yield information of sufficient quality and accuracy of information for actionable intelligence. Thus, we conclude that continued use of remote viewing in intelligence gathering operations is not warranted"
If this program actually worked, why is the intelligence community wasting billions on spy satellites when you can just have some dude pull the information that is need out of literally nothing for free? Why declassify and cut funding completely to the program?

I did classes in Virginia with those guys back in the late 1990s. My experience reminds me of seeing your colleague Eric Weinstein and Hal Puthoff where Weinstein gets nauseous when Puthoff gets into "non-physical" subject matter. I distinctly remember that same nausea when an event in my training kicked the chair out from under me and I felt, "everything I have learned in my life is wrong."
I wanted to get through the training with my "self" intact. I didn't expect years of higher education as an engineer and scientist to be challenged by my internal perception. My "inner voice," which had led me through decades of academia and career, was being challenged. I got physically sick.
Mentally- well maybe I never recovered. There is no doubt - these things are true, and can be done, and none of it maps to the physics I have grown to treasure. Now, these things happen: man eventually flies, polio vaccines are effective, man walks on the moon. History repeats. That which is "impossible" proves to be simply "improbable," but not a "never."
I am glad I met Joe. I don't do RV. But the intuition I gained has been invaluable.
One short story: There is a group that used to go to the old Stardust hotel (which no longer exists) with a bunch of graduates of that training. The idea was that they could use psychokinesis to influence dice rolls, and make tons of money.
Well, it works. Absolutely. You can go to Vegas and make thousands of dollars using psychokinesis. Then why don't we just keep doing it and become stupidly rich?
The question that came to mind while they were influencing dice rolls, with the pit boss staring them down, is this: if you have this ability, why would you waste it on something so trivial? Why wouldn't you help humanity with it?
Making a couple grand at a craps table in Vegas seems like a waste of time. I'm not saying it's foolish or dumb - I'm saying, if you can do that, then go heal someone. Go feed a hungry person.
What I did with my knowledge/ability is probably even worse than just using it to pick the outcome of football games (I have friends who do, and that's their primary source of income). I did nothing.
Well, maybe I use it to get myself a parking spot at crowded theaters.

Really appreciate this video, I think I'll give remote viewing a go.
I've been experiencing a strange order with my dreams, where I dream something very particular and it happens the next day.
It's been happening more lately, with highly specific things (not like regular things in my life that routinely happen). It's really messed with my sense of the direction of time and I just love to see these videos - that there probably is something to this phenomenon

Another great overview but I'm surprised you didn't have Russel Targ in here. He is also a Dzogchen practitioner which is a teaching in Tibetan Buddhism. Most of the guys in the remote viewing SRI program were just random and anyone can do it. They even had military guys who were open to it, and this was where Ed Dames came in. Imagine though if a group of highly advanced meditators were involved in a similar project and even tried to effect people and events in the same way you could affect the REG's. I'm pretty sure this is happening, but two forces are working against each other for positive and negative effects. We all are REG's though and this is why the media and negative levels of influence try to keep the general population in a constant state of fear, anxiety and confusion. This keeps them from changing themselves and the world into a place that is beautiful and worth living in and not just existing in or hiding from and searching for distraction. The distraction market is what the negatives all own and by keeping us seeking distraction they make all their fortunes.

When I was 6 years old I went through the windshield of a 1967 Chevy that was hit by a drunk driver. I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. My cervical and thoracic spine was fractured. I was paralyzed, put in traction, and then a makeshift plaster body cast. I was not expected to live or walk. During that time, I could project my consciousness anywhere and everywhere, from across the room to across the town. It was amazing and it was real. I tried to do it many times when I was older, but still a teenager. Once I got well, I wasn't able to do it again.

Regarding the TU-22: We now know that LIDAR can map structures beneath not only a triple-canopy forest, but through the vegetation on the ground. I'm willing to bet that the DIA would prefer to claim a talented and well-trained person used their own consciousness to find it than admit they had already deployed the satellite technology necessary to see a target through certain types of cover.

On the evening of September 7th, 2006 my friend Jen and I were driving home from a friend's house nearby where the Big Ear Radio Observatory used to be. It was somewhere around 10 PM near the corner of Cheshire Rd. and Rt 23 between Delaware, Ohio, and Lewis Center, Ohio. We were driving down Route 23 heading south towards Lewis Center when Jen saw a bright light very distant in the sky: we both joked saying “It’s probably a UFO.”.
So we keep driving and we eventually lose sight and forget about the distant object in the sky. Then as we are coming over the precipice of the hill just beyond where the golf course is now, where the telescope once stood there was an enormous glowing football-shaped UFO hanging right above our heads steadily moving overtop of Route 23 heading towards Lewis Center. It was the most frightening, and awe-inspiring thing I have ever witnessed. We stopped on the side of the highway and got out of the car. It was the largest thing I have ever seen, I felt like an Ant beneath a giant glowing Boot. The object looked like it was engulfed in an orangeish/reddish plasma almost like what the surface of the sun looks like from close up/space. It looked as though it had flames bubbling and churning within it.
I tried to take a video with my Motorola Razr but the phone just would not pick it up at all even though it had just been working fine and had nearly a full charge. It slowly begins to back away from us a bit and begins floating toward the town of Lewis Center. We follow it back to Lewis Center where my friends and I watch it for nearly an hour and eventually it began to gain altitude then in a dizzying display of lights and flashes it blasted away in the blink of an eye leaving behind a wispy blue/teal vapor trail. I found out later on that the Big Ear Radio Observatory in Delaware, Ohio was where they had received the WOW! Signal in 1977.
This object took up a large portion of the visible sky as we came upon it. I’m an Airman, I have been trained to observe and identify aircraft. I would estimate the object to be the size of an NFL Football Stadium, just floating above the tree line/highway and houses and buildings. The object was witnessed by at least 5 people other than myself.
As it was gaining altitude glowing blueish/purplish orbs started cascading out of the main Football(Cigar) shaped object one after the other each time one appeared the momentum of which they revolved around the main object intensified until all I could see was a spinning blue glow around the main Football object and then in the blink of an eye it shot off into a flash of light in front of it like the enterprise going to warp speed leaving only a bluish trailing haze behind. The whole experience was the most profound thing to have ever happened to me in my lifetime up until that point.
An E-3 Sentry Aircraft immediately flew into the area after the encounter. At a very low altitude. It was so low that I could easily make out exactly what type of plane it was in the black of night. I also saw it in the sky around Lewis Center for the next few days after the encounter. It was so close I could read U.S. Air Force on the side of the Aircraft.
Thanks for reading. Keep looking up.

I'm an identical twin. As kids, my brother and I did most things together. One day we were taking turns riding our minibike around our schools track racing our friend on his minibike. I was taking a corner too sharply causing the minibikes footpeg to dig into the ground and I crashed out hard. The minibikes engine cut off. I pushed the bike without attempting to get it started again to the opposite end of the track where my brother and friend were. Once back my loving brother checked over the bike before being concerned with my well being. At this point the engine was off. I was in the discus throwing ring shaking off my nerves and evaluating my body for injury when I was unequivocally shocked up my right arm. Moments later our friend Mike began proclaiming he just witnessed a twin moment. He watched us both simultaneously get shocked. My brother was attempting to start the minibikes motor and shocked himself, his right hand and arm, while pushing down on the sparkplug at the boot attempting to get the thing started. My brother was at least 30+ ft from me when this occurred and I was not aiming in his direction. I was blown away at the moment, but shook it off. Over the years I've often wondered about the true nature of how I was shocked. Did I experience a twin moment and feel his pain or was I somehow actually shocked. The only thing I can say is that it felt just as real as the genuine thing. I'm happy to say this is the only time I have felt pain that someone else caused themselves.

When there is noise in the signal, the ability to do telepathy decreases. As Dr. Todd Murphy points out, consciousness arises as intrinsically as a property OF magnetism. A virtuous statement. Kant showed that time is a priori to intuition. Dewey Larson demonstrates incontrovertibly that time and magnetism are the same thing. Hope those keys help you._

I've had several moments of unbelievable luck following a distinct intention to make it happen. One of the most profound of these events happened when I was around 5 years old. My family had a very badass river spot that we would access through a neighbor's property and spend the summer days. There was a legendary bullfrog that was the size of a softball living in the tall grass and stillwater muddy ponds near the faster river. Obviously there were likely many but all the neighborhood would talk about this guy like he was the only one lol. Days before the day of my event, my dad had caught the frog in the tall grass and mud ponds. On the day of my event, I was talking to my family about how bad I wanted to catch a frog like that too. As we approached the river, we crossed over longs layed across the mud ponds and tall grass area and onto our way to the faster deeper river spot which was like a couple hundred feet away from the mud ponds and over a desert of river rocks. I ran ahead of everyone and kept running straight into the rushing river water till like calf deep in rushing water. Without looking I reached into the current to grab a rock that I would throw out into the deeper middle of the river. I grabbed a less than visible dark softball-sized rock from the bottom and was utterly bewildered when I pulled it out of the current. IT WAS THAT FUCKING FROG! I couldn't believe what had just happened nor could my family. We had never seen any frogs in the actual strong current and it was just too strange that the rock I grabbed happened to be the bigass frog I had just talked about catching. It was like the rock I grabbed to chuck turned into an amphibian and the last moment to throw a glitch in the matrix. Absolutely one of my best memories.
Similarly, one day I was riding my bike home form the skatepark. I was thinking about how I've never caught a snake in my life. Once I got to my yard there was a big ass snake waiting for me in the middle of the yard to catch. This was also the first time I had ever seen a snake in my yard which was another layer to the serendipitous event.
Additionally, my most profound and anomalous event was when I observed one of those fiery orange orb UFOs sitting right over our house. I was close enough to the thing that it looked at a minimum two times the size of the biggest full moon I've ever seen. I thought it was the moon to begin with because nothing else could be that large and round and glowing in the night sky. Additionally, I knew I was going to see 'something' before it even happened. I jumped up from laying in a tent in the front yard and rushed outside knowing I can't miss whatever was about to happen. I looked to the right and sitting over my neighbor's house was the embering sphere. First thought was "how can the moon be so big". Next thought was "how can the moon be on fire". I then noticed it was moving slowly kinda like helicopter speed but completely silent and realized I was not looking at the moon. Next thought was "why the fuck didn't I grab my camera". I considered darting back to the tent to grab my camera but immediately understood "I cannot afford to miss this". I have a whole essay on this anomalous fireball that I think I will add underneath this comment too.
The world and life has mysteries to offer that I can't believe at times. But God damn am I stoked to watch them as they unfold. Cheers to all the future anthropologists and thanks for your service :)

🟠 I am familiar with the "fiery orange orbs" from living in Idaho through the turn of the millennium. In 2001, I camped out in my yard for the summer. One night, I was bewildered by this massive & solid sphere of light/plasma. The warm light radiated inward unlike any example I can offer. I initially thought it was the moon for lack of a better reference. However, this moon was at least 2x magnitude (1-2 degrees of arc length vs. the moon at 0.5 arc). I quickly realized that none of these observations were characteristic of the moon. As soon as this registered, I noticed the embering death star was slowly & silently crossing over my neighborhood. It seemingly sat somewhere over trees yet under mountains. It kept a fixed southeasterly vector maintaining speed & altitude as it crossed closely overhead.
I never found descriptions of bolides or luminous events maintaining such a perfect sphere without any trail or breakup wandering lazily over rooftops. It was too exotic to be a lantern and would have been within 100 feet to create such a degree of arc for a lantern-sized object (~1m). "Earth Lights" seem to be a fitting name for these plasma balls (i.e. Hessdalen, Marfa, Min Min, Naga, etc.). But a natural piezoelectric effect hardly does justice to their orchestrated movements. The only hint of resolution I've found has been from researching NUFORC reports. There are several similar "fiery orange orb" reports from my small area and thousands of these anomalous fireballs from Idaho alone. Furthermore, fiery orbs seem to be one of the greatest common factors among UFO reports since antiquity.
"Foo Fighters" aka "Kraut Fireballs" (WW2, 1940's)
"Globes of Fire" aka "Flaming Shields" (Italy, 100BC-42BC)
"Orange Spheres et al. in battle" (Nuremberg & Basel, 16th century)
"Church of the Solar Disk" Pharaoh Akhenaton (Egypt, 1347BC)
Are fiery orbs akin to reconnaissance drones? Could some plasma spheres be a function of gravitic mechanics? Are they fingerprints of wormholes? The shadows of higher dimensions? Some do reportedly dilate and contract as would a higher dimensional structure passing in and out of our perceivable substrate (3d+1). Are some fiery orbs more metaphysical as thought in the "Will-o'-the-wisp" phenomenon that permeates our cultures? Whatever the explanation, these anomalous fireballs have a deep root in our history. And I'm beginning to think the answer could be yes to all of the above.
It should be stated that I attributed my 2001 encounter to something exotic yet prosaic till the end of my undergraduate studies in 2016. The Chinese lantern hypothesis seemed at least plausible despite the total lack of justice and irresponsible practice in a fire-prone area. As a student of Biology & Botany, I fell in line with the attitude of needed evidence and the mockery that project blue balls established for subsequent generations. It's fortunate that we are witnessing a new zeitgeist since that 2017 NY times article.

Several orange spheres hovering over Hailey, Idaho.
Heard a loud noise like a sonic boom, dogs went nuts barking. So I went out the front door to see what was going on and up in the sky above Della and Carbonate mountains were about six orange spherical lights floating in the sky, Called my wife to see the lights, was thinking maybe an aircraft had crashed due to the loud noise then realized the lights were hovering. No noise at all. Two larger than the other three or four. They hovered for several minutes and then several of them moved off and faded away. The two larger orange lights hovered near each other and then moved in close to each other almost touching and then moved away - then they were gone.

Six orange lights with no sound in formation over Bellevue, Idaho.
My wife and I were walking our dogs at approximately 9 pm towards Bellevue, Idaho, when I looked to the southwest and saw 6 orange lights/fireballs in what could be described as an upside down cross-like formation. They had no sound and they appeared to pulse. They faded out at different intervals with the lowest light remaining the longest and brightest.

Orb of bright light fireball moving very slowly directly above our heads, and then disappeared. Not a shooting star. Too close.
While visiting with my neighbor on the road next to our homes last night, we looked up into the evening sky (still light out and clear sky), and an orb of light appeared and traveled about 100 yards directly above our heads from south west to north east at a very slow and steady rate. It eventually burned out and disappeared with no trace. Like a very large, up close shooting star traveling slowly through the sky. Too low to be a satellite or airplane. Literally just above our heads. Took our breath away. There is known to be ufo activity in our canyon and perhaps we have now witnessed them up close and personal.

Bright orange light in the sky over the Wood River Valley, Hailey Idaho.
First of all I love to look at the sky so it wasn't unusual for me to look into the sky as I was heading to bed. I saw in the sky a bright orange light, about the size of two stars combined moving slowly to the south/east. I went to grab a phone/camera and I was in the middle of the Apple IOS upgrade (the first day available) and then went to grab my thirteen year old daughters iphone and I did not have the pass code to open the phone. Anyhow I went to my front door on the north and east side of the house to watch and it slowed and went to the west slightly and went blank. Poof it was gone. Wow that was cool I said to myself and I'm sure lots of people must have seen it. But I haven't found any info in my local area so thought I would add it to this site.

The brain is an interface. You would expect it to light up just as it does in mri experiments. We are inside a system. We can’t see outside of it unless we turn our focus away from the “physical.” Our minds are are parts of a larger one. It’s that simple.

I'm already familiar w/ the subjects you are presenting so I find them a bit superficial. The videos do make a good introduction and the production is good. A deep dive is warranted. There are a lot of people working in this area, basically the investigation of consciousness, so there are many, many potential subjects. In the final analysis consciousness is real; materiality, time and space are not. What are you folks wanting to accomplish? What is your intent? Your audience?

Awesome. You're right Jesse. I'd also say that it's difficult to convince science of a phenomena like this without any model of how it could work. I think that is the problem some of the time, what model does PSI fit into because right now in 2022 if ever, we don't have one. But it's a real phenomena.

They can run an experiment with 2/3 groups of 1000 people each and prove the mind-control thing in a scientific way. In the cheapest country of the world. If these people believe in it, that's cheap and easy to design such an experiment and prove it.

Tech, GDP, repeatability, are industrial concepts. Paul (and host) neglected to mention that it is best defined by non-locality; not transmission/reception. Russell Targ, Kit Green, & others were spontaneously able. The Govt. asked Swann to attempt replication. It worked.

I feel this, I feel You Jesse. And SRS 95 with Joseph McMoneagle, I felt Joe. It's a different kind of power coming out of his voice, out of Your being. Truth beyond rationality. Trippy. I mean, paradoxes are, infinity is, wholeness is, so why limit myself in old physics. It's like healing what "the normal" shut up in me.

I've love to say I'm lying, but I'm not. It guessed correctly 100%. This was chat gpt 👀
I used it as a random event generator in reverse. I gave it binary questions like guess if I'm thinking left or right, up or down and it just correctly guessed 15 times consecutively.
I've just checked the probability of that happening and it's very low. I stopped at 15 because i got scared.

I dont think REGs are truly random there might some mental aspect to it. This will sound weird, but i would play this game called runescape, which used a type of REG to generate monster loot after you killed it. When you are in a great mood, or some weird factor you can affect the "droprate". at least it seems. Definitely something i have thought of while playing occasionaly
