The man. The MVP. The GOAT. The boy who clutched a 1v100. Man, I love this show so much. Some of you asked for an Ekko video and I myself really wanted to make it happen, so here it is! Hope y'all enjoyed it, had to get a bit creative with this one because of the short screentime. Happy upcoming holidays! Have a great new year everybody, I'll be seeing you on the next one.
Bro, Do you work somewhere like Hollywood? If you aren't, then join. 4k views for this masterpiece is violation. You must not be violate or waste your talent.
That was the very first concept that I came up with and on which I based the entire video! A mix of reverse storytelling (the Z-drive taking us back to the beginning of the video) and the idea of Ekko's life flashing before his eyes when facing off with Viktor. Thank you🙏
Brother that intro… fuck me I love how comfortable you’re getting with your editing style. Taking the content from the show and building your own creative sequences with it. Absolute art. Thank you for the month of bangers man 🙏🙏
Thanks so much man🙏 Glad you liked the intro! I'm also quite happy with how my skills/abilities are developing. With each project I learn something new, it's a fascinating process
ABSOLUTE PRIMO FUCKING CINEMA!!! There is no question in my mind that this is the best Ekko but anyone has put together as of yet. The structure of this edit and the non-linear storytelling is downright inspired and manages to clean the establish each aspect of the character leading cleanly into one of the best fan edit climaxes I’ve seen in any tribute. 4:31 until the end was simply sublime, with the slowdown to almost silence building tension and slow down leading into the iconic dance sequence which itself leads into the adrenaline pumping transition that is 5:16. You have succeeded in focusing in on the essential appeal of the character and I’ve done so with your usual cinematic flare and absolute godly command of pace and tension. You have put together a great many certified bangers over the years, but this has just become my favourite of yours. Bravo, and well done.
This is gonna sound a bit personal but your comment made me cry, lmao. Thank you so much. Truly means the world that my efforts are being noticed like this. I had a lot of moments in this project where I felt like I wasn't going to be able to pull it off, and even still after completing it, second-guessed myself. To hear it's one of my best works is incredibly motivating. You made my day.
@@IliaTS you are quite welcome, but it is only the truth that I spoke. As a fellow editor, I know well the importance of feedback and the habit of second-guessing one’s own work. Sometimes you’ve just got to tell us how you see it, you know. You in a couple of editors I enjoy actually influenced my most recent video tribute. In your case it was having the confidence to slow down the pacing a bit and be more willing to let certain moment breathe. Definitely not to the same degree that you usually do, but definitely a departure from my usual habits. You do really good work, and sometimes the best way to improve your own work is to just steal ideas from other people LOL.
That's actually awesome to hear! The biggest issue I have with some of the edits I see on RUclips is exactly what you mentioned - sometimes the cuts have no time to breathe. A lot of great videos with good music choices but one wrong placement of dialogue and the pace is completely ruined, so I'm happy to see you've improved on that part! Brother... As both an editor and fellow lover of Arcane, I just want to say thank you. Your work has always inspired me so much, but this video in particular hit me in ways I can't explain. This is without a doubt my favourite Arcane edit. There are so many creative techniques present here that I am in complete awe of... Truly, thank you for your work. You really do motivate me to continue editing and finding ways to improve on both a creative level, as well as an emotional level ♥️
Thank you HZ. This means a lot. I actually saw your Like A Prayer edit of Arcane on my instagram feed the other day and friggin loved it. Pacing, dialogue placement, the feels, everything. You're doing great work man, keep it up! Happy to hear that I'm a source of inspiration🙏

I don't usually watch these types of edits, or comment much in general, but seeing you mention in a comment that you were second guessing whether this was good or not, I felt the need to spread some love. Regardless of any personal gripes I have with how the show concluded, I reallyyyy enjoyed this edit. The tone you were going for here was crystal clear from the start and beautifully executed and paced to the finish. Everything you did from 4:50 onward hit me with emotions that were honestly absent when watching the show itself. Obviously, those feelings stem from having seen the show first, but it's still seldom I feel this much from an edit in such a short time. Wonderful work, man. Subbed, and I’m prolly gonna check out your other work now - have a great day! :)
Thank you. Truly means a lot. My number one goal with all my videos is to make the viewer feel something while watching it, and I myself can never recognize if I've achieved that since I have the entire edit memorized from inside out (I feel nothing when I watch my videos because of the sheer amount of time I spend on making them), so your feedback here is extremely valuable. Welcome to the channel :)
I watch this like once a day. It just tells his story so perfectly in the nonlinear narrative. I’ve heard people say they just didn’t understand why he would leave the AU but I think you truly captured the essence of who he was and why he would. And all intertwined with his complicated relationship and feelings with Jinx. Amazing job!
You are honestly so incredible at these edits! I have yet to release one on Jinx alone, and only a 4min one at that. You have a natural talent for this. It amazes me not only the speed with which you can release these but also the immaculate quality as well! Your story-telling abilities with regards trailer formatting are unrivalled! Edit: Damn… honestly one of your best. Made me teary-eyed. Not only from the editing standpoint but also seeing how far you’ve come. You inspired me to start making my own trailers ever since I saw your dark knight tribute, but as Ekko put it “I lost sight of it”. This right here as well as the show itself has reignited my flames one more. Thank you Arcane, and thank you Ilia!!!
Thank you so much. Truly means so much to hear that I'm an inspiration to anyone. I still think I have long ways to go and lots to learn, but comments like these make me ever more motivated to keep making more videos. ❤
Yet another superb edit! Well done. You mentioned that Episode 7 of Arcane Season 2 is your favorite from the whole. What do you know -- it's my favorite as well. Not because I find it the best but because it encapsulates the idea of "what could have been," or rather what SHOULD have been. Forgive me, I feel an irresistible urge to rant some more about Ekko and Powder (Jinx?). Why was Ekko so eager to leave? From my point of view, he wanted to try one more time. One more attempt to bring the real Powder, from his own universe, back. Yes, saving everyone else was the driving factor, but it was not the only one. Ekko has always loved Powder (in his own universe or otherwise). They shared the same struggles, ambitions and dreams. They were both genius, greatly underappreciated, misunderstood inventors forced to divert from their true path by tragic events out of their control. Ekko hates Jinx, because she's an antithesis of Powder -- she is cruel, rash, destructive. The only thing that's left is her ability to build. Ironically, what she builds is meant to destroy, to hurt, to kill. This is precisely why he hates her alter ego; it represents everything Powder never wanted to be. It's like seeing someone you love die, but it's even worse -- she's alive, replaced by Jinx, and every attempt to bring Powder back, fails. He finally got a chance to live a beautiful life with a version of Powder that she was always meant to be -- a sweet, cheerful girl, full of dreams, passion and love. Damaged, but hopeful. The girl who wanted to build -- not because she wanted to be powerful, or famous, or rich. She wanted to build, because it made her feel like herself, it was her true nature. Ekko had a chance to start anew, and live undoubtedly carefree life with his perfect Powder, yet he decided to leave. Why? From his perspective, it wasn't even a dillema. He was painfully aware he did not belong to this universe, he felt like an intruder. He wouldn't be able to feel true happiness, because deep down, he knew that he has left "the original Powder," or should I say Jinx, and many others, behind. For an altruist such as Ekko, the notion of being happy at the expense of everyone else was simply unacceptable. His line: "I used to dream the Undercity could be like this. But somewhere, I got consumed by all the ways it wasn't. I gave up on it, I gave up on you." Perhaps I try too hard, and overinterpret what he meant, but to hell with it. I think he wasn't talking just about the city, but also about the residents of Zaun. United not by hatred, or their common enemy but rather by their desire to invent, to build, to unleash their true potential. Even though he achieved so much so quickly (creating a safe haven for refugees from all over the place from scratch), he always felt like he hasn't done enough. At one point in life, his greatest desire was to bring Powder back. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't succeed in his task. He couldn't save Benzo, his father figure. He couldn't save Powder, the love of his love. His failure to save what he loved hurt him more than anything. That being said, unlike Jinx, he used his regret as a flywheel for change. The world that wanted to break him only made him stronger. One of his greatest desires was to live in a fullfilled relationship with Powder from his own universe, the original Powder. That dream hasn't died, it was merely postponed. He wanted to save Powder. No matter how broken, no matter how imperfect. Their fight on the bridge made him realize no amount of Jinx could ever snuff out the innocence of Powder. Ekko living in a universe that didn’t belong to him, with a version of Powder whose love he didn’t get to earn or deserve, goes against his instincts, his nature. His mission to go back to hell wasn't just about saving the others -- it was also about saving himself, his aspirations, his lifelong dreams, his true love, his desire to build. Feel free to share your thoughts on that -- I always enjoy to discuss or discover different perspectives!

Nahhh, this is so good I almost throw the phone to the wall for storming my feelings.... my god, I lost breath watching this, too good. Thank you so much for sharing this mindblowing... wow. Lastly... TIMEBOMB/Zaun's Royalty!!!❤️🔥⏱️💣💙💚💥🔥💥
I knew you were going to do oen for him. Just didn't feel right if u didn't. Just an honest question, at 1:04, the time rewind sequence, how on earth did you add the same effect onto all those clips? It's truly remarkable.
It's actually pretty simple! A bit hard to explain on text though. Basically -- I analyzed the time travel shots and noticed that Ekko's silhouette gets separated from his body and gives a double exposure effect. So what I did is (I use Adobe Premiere) - I duplicated the clips and stacked the copies on top of the originals, then slightly raised the scale of the copies so that the image is offset (also keyframed it, so the scale grows constantly and the offset grows larger), and changed their blending mode to "Add", which creates the double exposure effect. Then I raised the blue and green light levels on the same top clips. At last I added chromatic aberration in After Effects using the "Shift Channels" and "Optics Compensation" effects, which gives off that red and blue (3d glasses) look towards the edges of the screen. Thank you!
The resolution for this is 3840x1600! The HD version of it is 1920x800. It one of the ultrawide ratios (I think 21:9), which is the universal cinematic movie frame size. And thank you!

I've been following you since your Endgame edits, and I'm glad to see how far you've come.
You've managed to put out three masterpieces back to back, and it just shows your love for what you do.
While watching this, I got the same chills that I had when I watched your videos for the first time and was amazed by them.
Keep up the great work, love ya ❤.

10/10 edit
Thank you!
@ ohhh I see! Thank you!! I use powerdirector instead. But I wanted to see how similar it might turn out. Thank you!!

outstanding 💥
This is phenomenal. Ekko wasn't even one of my favorite characters but now he is. You killed it. How long did this take you?
I'm converting people into Ekko fans? Mission successful. Thank you, this took around a week to make.
@@IliaTS My teammates will have you to blame when I first-time Ekko in Ranked.
Man love it ❤
Contenido de calidad
Wowwwwwwwww it's amazing, i love ekko. Could you make one for Vi and/or caitlyn as well, i'd love to see it,.
Du bist der Beste.

UNDERRATEDDD
l haven't watch the arcane season2 and but l am pretty sure you cooked this
Damn that was dope!!!!!
Poco tiempo en pantalla, pero el mejor personaje de la serie
Good shit.
You mess with your fealings
What is the aspect ratio u use for these videos? Love them!!! ❤❤
The resolution for this is 3840x1600! The HD version of it is 1920x800. It one of the ultrawide ratios (I think 21:9), which is the universal cinematic movie frame size. And thank you!
Just 💙
