I’m going to have to disagree with you on this one 😂
I LOVE that he kept the voice break at 1:54 and didn't overdub it. Today's pop music is so processed, comped and pitch-corrected that there's nothing human left in it. This, on the other hand... this is a real performance, straight from the heart, with an incredible voice that still isn't perfect 100% of the time, because it's real. Perfectly imperfect.
Brilliant!! This song is definitely helping through the worst time of my life. I'm currently staying at a rehab center battling kidney disease and currently on dialysis, which is no fun. Eds music has always gotten me over my obstacles in life and this time will be no different!

I couldn't agree more... every album this man writes and records has gotten better over the years and the most recent 2 albums are phenomenal in my opinion. Just when you fall in love with his latest album and think he couldn't possibly get any better BAM! He drops another album which outdoes the previous one. Losing my Dad to cancer on Ed's Birthday 2021 makes all these songs incredibly relatable to me. My Mom won't even listen to this one. Currently going through the worst time of my life and Ed Sheeran hit the nail on the head. Thank you for this Ed. This is absolutely breathtaking to never give up even though you want to. Has my babies wrongfully taken from me from a corrupted judge to where I only see them once a month... Fighting to get them through an appeal. I haven't been the same in four months... I ask that same question "when will I be alright?" Beautiful Ed just beautiful. Your voice sounds like Angels singing. In my opinion no body can hold a candle to you! ❤❤ You are so talented!

I am so sorry. My daughter lost her daughter wrongfully at one time too. We got her back. It was the worst thing. It involved one of my sisters. I know my sister thought she was doing the right thing… but it was horrible.
My daughter never really recovered. She ended up dying in a car accident 14 years later.
I ask myself when will I b alright too🤷♀️. Life can be hard, and it doesn’t make sense.
I am so sorry you are going through that. I feel your pain. In my soul. I have long covid which comes with many things but for me, it's affected my eyesight and extreme sensitivity to light. I have whole host of issues but another is trouble finding my words. I say my mind is buffering. Please wait while my brain computes. I now have figured out how to use the text to speech and speech to text on my computer but at first I was lost. I had family court and I asked for help repeatedly with figuring out my paperwork. I could drive there, I could use my computer. They were awful to me. I thought ok I'll just tell the judge. Explain. My son's father never even set up visitation and he's 16 now. He has no idea who his dr even is. Nothing is going to happen. The judge wouldn't even let me speak. He cut me off while asking for a reasonable accommodation to give me time to speak. To find my words. Cut off again when I tried to explain I couldn't see to file anything. He awarded temporary custody of my son to a man that has no idea of his health history. No idea about anything. The judge took his lawyer's word when my son said he wanted to live with him. He wanted his dads love, that's what he wanted. He wanted. He has since convinced my son that I'm not sick. that I'm just a lazy piece of shit mother (which he texted me that until 2 am for almost a week straight) I am beyond devastated. I'm frozen. Covid had literally took everything from me. I swear Ed sings right to my soul. When will I be alright.....

wow I'm sorry your going thru this season in your life, I'm 63 and have loved your music from when you "became a sensation" fell like I've been here since the beginning, but I know you put in many years of work and hardship to become the "superstar" you are today. What I love is that you are a real person, your not hiding your humanity. All this to say, this album/music/season of your music wow has hit me strong, help me come out of my 10 year depression coma (my term). In 2013 I lost my soulmate and spiraled into the black cave of depression . This year Feb 2023, I finally emerged, with knowledge and wisdom I did not have before. (Love of my children and grandchildren held me to this planet, otherwise I would not be writing this). All this to say, you have put to words better than any other what my world has been for 10 years. and even now...I feel this song....Life is a journey, not a race, sigh and as you sadly are feeling can be a tough one, thank you for putting words and music to what you are feeling.
