- The Voices Games is one of the most bizarre indie developers on the PlayStation. They have produced 12 different shovelware games on the platform in just the past couple of years. With bonkers names like “Lady in a Leotard with a Gun”, I just had to check these out. I played all twelve of their games. Was it fun or was it a disaster? Let’s find out!

ngl calling these games between 1:12 to 30:03 Shovelware game breaks my heart... i would personally say shovelware is like one of those google play asset flips or ps2 and wii games; cheaply made, bad gameplay and soulless look (funny enough like games after 30:03 lol).
i get small indie itch io game vibe from these, unprofesionall but not soulless. i dig the soundtrack, early computer cgi and graphic vibe (both 2d and 3d), out of world and almost spacey vibe.
i love these stuff and also wouldn't mind to buy them time to time if they are cheap around 1 or so bucks. also i don't personally see game being short always being a con. some games can be a short sweet spoonful exprinces, like a short movie. buckshot roeulette, milk inside bag of milk, to some extant Iron long are short and yet good games. (i might be bias about short games, because i'm developing and planning few short games myself c: )
anyway like the video :)
I’m not saying short length is bad. Far from it. One of the best games I’ve played recently was ‘Sayonara Wild Hearts’ and that was roughly 50 minutes in length. What I had a problem with these games was they ended before they even got going. They didn’t feel like completed experiences, but rather demos of a few ideas and then “The End”. Newtonian Inversion is probably the one that felt the most complete of a game. But a lot of the others were so short they felt shallow, rather than a short and sweet experience that you described (much like Sayonara Wild Hearts, I highly recommend it!). Thanks so much for watching, I’m happy to highlight these smaller indie games for new viewers and glad you enjoyed the video 😊
@@DonCritic So in essence, they were not Shovelware titles, far from it, you wanted more, you wanted these ideas to be explored further, because they were interesting.
@thatanimeweirdo shovelware is a term used to describe low quality and cheaply produced video games. These were all of low quality and extremely cheap production. So they still qualify as shovelware
@@DonCritic"indie" and "shovelware" does not fit well together in the same sentence, especially with today's definition of indie. It's almost oxymoronic. An important distinction between them is that "shovelware" has an intention to trick buyers into thinking they're getting a good game, when in fact, they got a very intentionally cheap game.
unlimited games but no games
I've recommended "Lady in a with a gun" to several people. It's so bad it's good. Many laugh and have a good time. Definitely worth the 49 cents
It’s definitely an experience 😂
So im glad you’ve done this I’ve always been curious about these games. Always on big sales nothing is ever buy though. You should take a look at “Im in love with your dead grandmother” next. I’m so curious what those are.
Glad you enjoyed the video! 😃 and thanks for the recommendation, I’ll sure look into them with a title like that 😂
