    I need to find text between quation marks (the symbol is ") to make the text italic, is already on Arial which has italic included.
    Which command should i write?

    • @CreativePro
      @CreativePro  2 года назад

      You would use basically the same expression. You can find the proper quotation marks to use in the pull-down “secret” menu under quotation marks.

    This is absolutely incredible and thank you for teaching! Exactly what I needed :)
    I just have one problem with that, sometimes in the same paragraph appears two sets of parenthesis and they are all selected as one selection, ex.: Lorem ipsum "(dolor sit amet), consectetur (adipiscing elit)". The selection will be the quotation marks. Is that a way I can fix it, and only select a pair of () at once?

      You’ll need to use “shortest match.” Check out this other video that explains it: ruclips.net/video/PDDkAzUTu2w/видео.html

    I don't know if you're still active, but I'm trying to do something similar, however the text is between two pieces of specific text. To be precise, I'm transferring from another software, and coloured text is surrounded by and . How would I remove these whole tags and format the text between them?

    • @CreativePro
      @CreativePro  2 года назад

      Do you need the formatting to use the info in brackets? You could use GREP to find the text between the tags and also remove the tags… but you’d have to apply the same formatting to all the text. Or do a find, but format the text by choosing a character style after each find. You could probably also get a scripter to write a script for you. If you only have a handful of color tags, you could write a GREP expression for each one and do it all automatically. -EG

    not discussed in this video, but my indesign (late to 2021) cannot find specific characters in strings bordered by characters, will take anyone's help.

    • @CreativePro

      Can you be more specific? Also, if you want to join our InDesignSecrets FB group, we’ve got about 19K folks over there who could help. Plus you can upload screenshots to illustrate. -EG

      @@CreativePro ok, will look :) i was later told that I can do a GREP format for a whole document or do a format within each paragraph format (presumably, a GREP search would jump from section to section), but it is hard from videos to find out how to format this GREP. some videos give GREP advice on locating in-between text, like characters between parentheses, quotes, etc., but these demonstrators had the GREP working.
