- All of a sudden we have more than the 12 DLC rings we were thought to have in the story, so here's a quick breakdown of the trailer from the game awards show tonight.

2 things:
1.) So if we get Eirika & Ephraim and the 3 lords in one ring, does that mean, that Lyn's ring will also have Hector & Eliwood in it? What about Celica's ring? Is Alm also a duo with her?
2.) I bet that one of the DLC-Rings gonna be Ryoma & Xander as a duo!
1- Very possible from what I'm thinking right now, but there's a JP video with a lot more details that I think will help clarify things once its translated.
2- I'm thinking it might be the Three Hopes MCs, but we'll have to wait and see which route they take with this!
Just some random comment. I do really want Xander and Ryoma,,,, I actually enjoyed Fates, and they're some of my favourites 🫂
What's pretty cool about the Tiki ring is that it looks like anyone can become a dragon

The Japanese trailer is way better as it shows a bit of the side story for getting these new emblem's and what the accessories are (clothing).
As for the emblem's you do only get 2 emblem's in wave 1 the 3 lords in 1 ring and tiki. The trailer shows you being able to switch between the 3 though I don't know if this actually does anything outside of cosmetic, this also is more then likely how Erika and Ephraim will work. They keep there skill from 3H increasing your xp gain.
Yeah, I only saw there's an almost 7 minute JP trailer after I posted this video, I'm working through it now, I need the thing translated haha!

Also looking at the 3 lords special attack from the jp trailer, alear uses it on a sword flier, the first attack with the axe dealt 20 damage, the 2nd attack with the lance dealt 18 damage but actually broke the sword unit because weapon advantage and the 3rd attack with the bow dealt the most damage with 29 against a flying enemy. Just something neat I noticed
I hope we get some story DLC in the future
The Official website does say the 4th and final wave will come with new story stuff.

Honestly it doesn't bother me that much they have done it for the past like 4 games.
I think what’s happening with Erika is that she is fused with rosado and who ever is fused will get help from Ephirim
Maybe it's a gender thing. Male characters get Ephrim, Female characters get Erika.
Honestly the only problem I have with this is that people will be using this to say "omg look Engage BAD"
They just look like extra emblems and I'm fine with that it's fine imo.
I'm so hyped Three Houses was my all time favorite Fire Emblem game so glad to see the house Leaders returning.
What I think the accessories is it's like glasses or hair bows or something of that matter hopefully it'll be sunglasses if so giving that to Alear.
Based off the JP dlc trailer, "accessories" includes entire outfits as well

@@diegotimon4570 as sad as it is, they could try to work around it even with getting a voice actor to attempt to sound like Billy Kametz. I believe that's what they did with the shield hero anime when he stepped down, right? That's a common practice if something happens to voice actors and they can't ditch the character. Either way, it won't be the same, and I hope if they do make dlc involving ferdi, they do it in a respectful way.
Theres another trailer in japanese with a TON of extra stuff! And the website is updated with all lords now!!
Also the 3H lords basically function as their personal skills and give bonus exp while Tiki gets all the dragonstones. 3H lords are pretty tame it seems but might unlock better skills later?
And a pvp my castle mode is coming back
Damn, I just saw, this is what happens when I wake up to details, well I guess I have more to look through for later!
In the new video they show that you can use sp to buy normal skill from the ring at the home base maybe the 3h lore ring tame at the unit skill on the ring but have better skill for you to buy
At the end of the trailer where it shows what you get it does say Emblem character and not emblem characters. So I’m pretty sure they confirms it is a three in one
Day 1 dlc is fairly standard at this point, so for better or worse I'm used to it, plus new emblems via dlc was the most obvious thing in the world might as well announce it immediately
That being said, JP got a big 7 minute trailer which showed me so much stuff that I've so desperately wanted in Fire Emblem I honestly couldn't care less even if I was anti day 1 dlc

One interesting thing to bring up, the DLC emblems are actually bangles/bracelets to avoid fucking up the narrative of the 12 rings
the web site says more on other waves wave 2 is drip and consumables wave 3 is emblems wave 4 is new story character and classes in the such so cindered shadows and cost 30 bones

For me personally, I think it a bit of a trashy move. Nevertheless, nothing major seems to behind a paywall. Like it cool, you get the three houses lord and tiki rings. it awesome, you got more accessories. However, you still getting the core aspects of fire emblem. I will play Fire Emblem Engage because I enjoy the series overall.

To me as that reads as two separate emblem characters, so I'm half expecting the three lords to be combined into a single ring.

If no one has mentioned it but the accessories sort of seemed like they're only going to be cosmetic in appearance.
I've seen people complain that this is a case of ripping something from the game and selling it as DLC, but I honestly don't think it is. The game was finished over a year ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was made after the fact since they knew the game would sell. It honestly wouldn't surprise me.
Thats an excellent point in this case. But being advertised DLC a month before the games comes out is still bullshit regardless of the nature of the extra content. The announcement can wait until a month after release or so.
I think its kinda cool we get dlc rings I know we epected it but keeping it main story lords but allowing other popular charchters to be dlc rings is fitting for a anniversary game at least we didnt get a gacha mechanic with other charchter rings I never got 3h dlc because it was mostly just stat boosters id never use and cindershadows and its charchtes didnt justify the 25$ for me I wish I could get the classes I know they wont do this but part of me hopes that you can pick and choose what dlc you want so your not spending 25$ or what ever it is on the little bit of side content I want
Unfortunately it says "Expansion Pass" so I feel like, when they've said that in the past for 3H, and for things like XB3, it's usually an all or nothing purchase.
We have details on what's included in each phase, but it's in Japanese so I'm waiting on someone to translate it!

To me it looks like Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude is a 3in1. It even says in the trailer Emblem character - Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude, not characters. And then Embleb character - Tiki. I think. Confusing trailer and probably on purpose😄.
As for the DLC I like what we get in FE DLCs. Its 25 for all of the content. Nowadays taht's pretty good actually.
The eshop has been updated and looks like it's $30 for the full pass, and we have details on what each phase entails. It's annoying that they stagger details like this because it makes hard for me to cover in videos clearly as well, I'll make a follow up on the other stuff later once we have it fully translated!
If they can promise me Hector, then my money is theirs. Until I see Hector, I’m not buying.
At this point, given the info we have, it's a VERY real possibility. They dropped a lot more details on their website that I'm working on combing through as we speak, it's all in Japanese so it'll take a bit of time
@@LinkKing7 I would expect the most likely candidates to be added would be the “missing” Lords like Alm, Eliwood, Hector, Ephraim, Chrom, and Robin, but the inclusion of Tiki opens up many possibilities
@@tbahr123 Ephraim is in the base game already. He and Eirika share a ring like the House Leaders are one Emblem. I can see both Hector and Eliwood being added as FE7 reps. Potentially Lilina or an older Eliwood for FE6 reps.
I still don’t love how they handled it. It’s better than what they did in FE warriors where playable characters who were in the main story were locked behind dlc (oboro, niles, navarre, and owain were all in the main story and only usable through a pay wall despite 3 out of the four being moveset clones) causing massive balance issues, having a game with a weapon triangle and not enough characters for each weapon type, the only base game lance users were Pegasus knights and they all had the same moveset, and there were only 3 axe users, 3 bow users, 3 mages, then 10 sword users. The game was basically unfinished without the dlc. I’m hoping this is like the echoes dlc, where it adds to the story but if I didn’t play it, it wouldn’t leave the main game feeling incomplete
I am sure i am of the minority, but it has never really bothered me when games have day 1 dlc. I called some emblems being behind dlc as soon as we found out they where a thing. My only worry is how are they gonna balance all these op items as emblems already look pretty broken as is.
Now this isn't really related to Fire Emblem, but can we just applaud Link for reading all his comments? It helps the viewers feel closer and more important to the content. Nice job👍

I'd just recommend to wait until there is something you really want to grab in the DLC.
What's kinda sad is that it seems like they only give out DLC in Waves and not seperately anymore. It was kinda nice customer service to be able to pick and grab what you want for a few dollars rather than forcing you to pay for everything. There will always be stuff I'm not particularily interested in because I don't need it. Of course you could argue its cool to get everything for less than you'd pay for the full thing. But as I said, not having the option to pay 5 dollars for what you want is kinda eh if you gotta pay 20+ for everything just to get what you want ya know.
The advantage of this is that the total of all DLC is no longer twice the price of the original game.
@@Felixr2 The prices of SOVs DLC in general were an absolute desaster. All the Class DLCs were totally overprized especially for how little benefit they actually gave you (you must grind units up to 20 in thier final class which realistically happens in the late act unless you grind before and at some point you have to grind to get there anyway). Compare that to special class items from Fates that are mostly unlockable very early or during midgame at least. And you can easily set up Log book units for future runs too. I don't know about most of the other DLCs except the sidestory content with Fernand and Clive as well as the free DLC. But over all I feel they stepped up the prices for good. Almost as if they knew that SOV wouldn't sell well.
Prices for digital products have nothing to really tell how much they're worth. It are the producers (or the big heads of Nintendo) who ultimately decide. The usual form are 10-20+ for season passes and bigger story DLCs, less in the one digit zone for very small things such as outfits, etc. With season passes like these you also don't know what you actually bought before the full thing is revealed. (Looking at Smash Bros although there the fans were actually told that they better not be mad if they do this... Which still makes is questionable if they had to make this form of purchasing available in the first place.)
In the end it really boils down to the fact if it is worth your money in your eyes. Especially nowadays I'd definitly wait for the full picture before spending money. We cannot stop the way of things anymore with how big the number of sales will be at the end. We can only be smart to save ourselves some money for stuff that should have been included as unlockables.
I am thinking maybe Erika's ring turns into Ephraim if engaged by a male character (Rosado seems to be a man).
I'm really hoping to get Eliwood and Hector separate from eachother and from Lyn.. the lore in theory story would support their abilities being wildly different from eachother.
Given what we're seeing here I'm less and less hopeful for that though. Really I just want to see the return of Hector-copter.
Also, with the Three Houses lords operating as a single emblem ring its kind of making Alier function like Byleth does in Smash.

I love the content, I hate the monetisation. I love the three Houses Lords but day 1 DLC simply is a shitmove. I hope there's gonna be a version of Tiki from Awakening, since I prefer her design from that game
Love it, don’t see the problem with day 1 DLC when it’s part of a season pass. More content is better, and always optional. It will still be a complete game without the DLC, but the extra content is for the fans

I for one am sick of Three Houses. We got the base game, then it’s DLC, then a spin-off Warriors game, now Three Houses DLC in the next Fire Emblem game. There’s so many other FE games to draw content from. Like damn man…
