Jake E. Lee is not only one of the best guitarists in history, but he also has one of the best rock guitarist's stances ever! Total bad ass! I was lucky enough to see him live with Ozzy. I really regret never seeing Badlands live!
My hope is that now that Jake is out with RDC maybe we will see a resurgence in requests for the Badlands albums. It would be a fitting honor for Ray and the boys.
Reminds me of rocking out to Headbanger's Ball way back when! Ive been recently listening to a bunch of older stuff. When this comes on I have to play it and Winter's Call several times in a row.
+Robert bishop chaisson already left the group, really dont know what's going with this RDC band. I am not very impress with their new vocalist, hopefully Jake can find some close to Badlands.
Ray Gillen still leaves me wondering why he is not as legendary as Hendrix. His passing truly took something special and unique. And from what I've read and heard, he was a really great person. Best vocals in rock music, and hardly anyone even remembers him.
My favorite "hair band" hands down......an incredible quartet of energy! A debut album that I CAN NEVER get bored with....Still rock this as if it came out yesterday!....R.I.P. Ray Gillen
I have listened to the first two albums since they came out, and they never get old. Sounds as good if not better today. Blows the shit on the radio today out of the water!!!!
18 plus years later- this still sounds amazing- thanks for posting this- Ray's legacy will live on and allow for new generation of fans- what is jake doing now???? so miss this group-perfection
Badlands- what a band, what a line up. RIP Ray Gillen. Badlands were on the cusp of being one of the best bands out there at the time. Jake was on a mission(after the Ozzy debacle) and it came through in a big way. Great song writing. 🤘🏻🎸🎼
saw BADLANDS on thier first tour at city island in PA, opening for Tesla, and Great White, Eric Singer used to bring one of those TINY mini bikes to ride around, and damn near ran me over!!.. WAY under rated band!!
Man...Jake and Ray what a combo...This brings back some great memories....I laughed hard when this "tape" came out and I listened to it and I just laughed and laughed cause Ozzy's NO rest isn't even close to the awesomeness of this album...Thought Jake won with this band...Voodoo was even better...Miss this band so much..and no one from this genre of music had Ray's soulful voice man...
To BADLANDS,jake, ray, jeff and eric and the other bassists(forgot his name) Thanks for the memories, thank you for those years( 1988-1989).SHORELINE MT VIEW CA 1989. i remember the white smoke on stage while jake played the intro to WINTER'S CALL and RAY jst standing there in the dark... FUCK MAN
Yeah, Eric Singer is a fantastic drummer, world class. Saw him with Alice Cooper last year, damn what a solo .. Nice to the fans as well ... Thumbs up Eric S.
Jake is great. Nice o thave seen him in both BL and Ozzys band. Come youth, pick it up....put some soul into it. Most of todays band are "FARTS IN THE WIND".......yup, you can qoute me.
Wonderful RAY » I’m Dreams in the Dark » baby, i go no living, Sing me a song👋I’m like and Kiss Badlands ❤️🔥il aura suffit d’être Badlands pour voir RAY en vidéo 🙏👍🏿
Another song that totally kicks it from these guys man! I had so much early influence from this band! They were simply an amazing band, holy shut it's been a long time since my friends and I listened to this while doing fuckin keg stands and shots. Playin this style of musac was so much fun. If it wasn't for the old school stuff like this we wouldn't be where we are at with music today ! Everyone needs to remember that, long live rock n fuckin roll
I'm so glad Jake is back with Red Dragon Cartel. He needs to find a more charismatic frontman with a stronger voice. He'll never replace Ray. He had one of yhebesy hsrd rock/ metal voices ever. Definitely in yhe top 3-5 of all time.

this music is absolutely timeless. I miss the music of the 80's. it's better than 99% of what is coming out now
99 percent, try 100 percent. Today's music sucks
Justin Timberlake
ANOTHER GAY FUCK !
:eyeroll: - everyone's been saying that since music began.
Also albums were better produced in the 80s despite all the technology now, i blame spotify et all
Ray had a great voice !!
My hope is that now that Jake is out with RDC maybe we will see a resurgence in requests for the Badlands albums. It would be a fitting honor for Ray and the boys.

Worth a listen to the link above from Eddie Trunk's show. Puts some light on why the Badlands albums haven't been reissued..
You'll never hear a better vibrato in the rock guitar world my friends... I promise you that!
🔥 Badlands all day, every day in 2023 and beyond 🔥
Reminds me of rocking out to Headbanger's Ball way back when!
Ive been recently listening to a bunch of older stuff. When this comes on I have to play it and Winter's Call several times in a row.
BOTH those videos rock!! Winter's Call takes you right back.
Me too I usually play Winters Call twice in a row and I rarely do that with any songs now that I think of it......
Thrasher-87 it’s so weird to me, I feel this album just somehow got majorly overlooked back in the day
A. Voice that will be missed forever!
killer song, Badlands should have been as huge as bands like Whitesnake IMO.
You're so right. If Ray hadn't died they would have been huge. I know Greg Chaisson is the new bassist for RDC. we got half of Badlands.
+Robert bishop chaisson already left the group, really dont know what's going with this RDC band. I am not very impress with their new vocalist, hopefully Jake can find some close to Badlands.
Damn I loved this band !!! I wish they lasted more than 2 albums!!!
I adored Jake E Lee. One of the best ever. Love it
what a great great band...I always loved lee's guitar playing on the ultimate sin cd, ray gillen is phenomenal what a singer, very cool band
Ray Gillen still leaves me wondering why he is not as legendary as Hendrix. His passing truly took something special and unique. And from what I've read and heard, he was a really great person. Best vocals in rock music, and hardly anyone even remembers him.
Thank you! I love this song and his voice is amazing.

One of the most underrated songs and bands of all time
I miss Jake E. Lee, such an under rated guitarist he deserves way more credit than people give him.
Great band. RIP Ray...
one of my favorite guitar solos
18 plus years later- this still sounds amazing- thanks for posting this- Ray's legacy will live on and allow for new generation of fans- what is jake doing now???? so miss this group-perfection
Badlands rocked Ray's voice amazing extraordinary ❤
Best Era Ever can I go back...😢
R I P Ray..what a great talent you were and are..thanks so much for all the great songs
Ray....miss you..
what an awesome tune!
Dreams in the dark. Love the 80's
que buena banda y que gran cantante que era Ray Gillen R.I.P.
Jake's tone is down and dirty bluesy rock. Ozzy was never the same without Randy or Jake, his two best guitarists.
Randy was one of the most under rated vocalist. He could belt out a great song. Wish there were bands like this today.
Ray
Wish they had more of this album on RUclips
Oh yes. Remember last minute deciding to get a taxi into Liverpool to see these dudes at the Krazy House. Awesome!
Badlands- what a band, what a line up. RIP Ray Gillen. Badlands were on the cusp of being one of the best bands out there at the time. Jake was on a mission(after the Ozzy debacle) and it came through in a big way. Great song writing. 🤘🏻🎸🎼
Remember watching these back in the day in a little pub in the West Midlands somewhere. Oh my... the best gig ever! They were absolutely awesome.
there will never be another Ray,,,i remember it all...god bless and hold true to the music and the power...chris
My favorite band
saw BADLANDS on thier first tour at city island in PA, opening for Tesla, and Great White, Eric Singer used to bring one of those TINY mini bikes to ride around, and damn near ran me over!!.. WAY under rated band!!

RIP Ray Gillan. Wicked band.
yup, one of the more under-rated bands of that era...
Great Band. I am glad I got to see them Live
another great lost band..thank god you can still find this stuff on you tube. i wish there were bands like this around so damn much.
FUCK MAN
1,000 Likes, I still like this song. It just has a grove where it's hard to find in band now a days. Good Job, Badlands!
heard this song for the fist time in 1997 and this is the best everlasting rock and roll song!
Jake was and is still the best guitar slinger that has been with Ozzy hands down!
I love what Jake did with ozzy but I still take Randy Rhoades as the best the stuff he was doing in the early 80s no one could touch him.
this song n album still kick major ass no matter how many times u listen to it... Jake's best line up IMO...
Saw in 90' in Cleveland with Great White
Right on...!
better today than when it came out... this band is stellar.. timeless!!
Awesome Song!!!
Yeah, Eric Singer is a fantastic drummer, world class. Saw him with Alice Cooper last year, damn what a solo .. Nice to the fans as well ... Thumbs up Eric S.
a good song to start ur day in the morning... RIP Ray...
RIP Ray Gillen
This what Real Music is like and what is still Great still today going into 2021!
Yes he had a wonderful voice I thought too.. Miss ya Ray!
Great band !!!, I miss the music
Yeah. When I need to reboot my music mojo a visit to badlands always does the trick. Gotta catch up with Red Dragon Cartel as well.
Jake is great. Nice o thave seen him in both BL and Ozzys band.
Come youth, pick it up....put some soul into it.
Most of todays band are "FARTS IN THE WIND".......yup, you can qoute me.
I've been playing this album for weeks now. Suddenly just can't stop listening to it. This is THE SHIT. Tone, rhythm, melody. It's freaking perfect!!
Jake has such a great tone. He & Satch have the best lead sound.
R.I.P. RAY
HA HA.YOU'RE SO RIGHT BRO.i discovered badlands in late 88 with that first album.i knew they were something.ray and jake are jimmy and robert.
what a great band. mix of David Coverdale and Robert Plant. sounds like that is the influence here. loved them then and love them now!!
One of the most under-rated bands...a shame.
Awesome song ❤
Back in the day I had hair like that...... nowadays - no fookin way!!!!
only the good die young... RIP Ray.
This band kicked ass.
Love this album! I remember it well
That voice though.....badass.
awesome tune!!!
Not even close, in a category of their own!!
classic song from classic album
My fav of all times!!!
I never knew that. They were a great band.
best Sabbath singer tied with dio
Wonderful RAY » I’m Dreams in the Dark » baby, i go no living, Sing me a song👋I’m like and Kiss Badlands ❤️🔥il aura suffit d’être Badlands pour voir RAY en vidéo 🙏👍🏿
What a song. Jake's a bad ass and Ian sounded great.
Ray not Ian. My bad.
There's a few different videos of this song but this one's my favorite. Also most excellent and powerful drummer! =)
Sharon Osbourne is an idiot for firing Jake. As far as I'm concerned he was
Ozzy's best guitar player. This dude is the epitome of metal guitar.
this is a great song, brings me back,
Another song that totally kicks it from these guys man! I had so much early influence from this band! lucky you, man!! All of the Badlands' recordings are highly collectible!
oh, Jake, how I love you...RIP. Ray ;(
rest in peace ray gillen
Espetácular, LINDOOOOO !
I'm so glad Jake is back with Red Dragon Cartel. He needs to find a more charismatic frontman with a stronger voice. He'll never replace Ray. He had one of yhebesy hsrd rock/ metal voices ever. Definitely in yhe top 3-5 of all time.
Heavy Metal Hitman face book \m/

Ahhh this brings back a few memories!
Outstanding, RIP Ray
This song is killer!!!!
Wish my hair was long again.Damn job made me cut it!!!!
ke figata d pezzo!e ke kitarrista!!!
The Drummer is Eric Singer!!! He drums in Kiss now... Badass drummer!!
So much better than most of the bands of that day...forgot how good they were.
perfection all around!
no he is not from Helloween, his name is Ray Gillen, he passed away in 1994 with aids. Real sad shit as this was a badass band!
by the way, what a band!! Eric Singer and Jake Lee are MONSTERS!
to bad Ray left us. The band was barely know. They could have been one of the top bands on the 80's.
