I love classroom screen and use it every single day. My kids have responded very well to it and are getting better at reading and following directions.
I use classroom screen almost daily! I use it to write simple multi step directions for students to refer to. We use the stoplight to signal movement in the room. If it is red they should only be in their seats, yellow they get to move to a spot/can move if they need, and green is if they can be consistently moving around for something. I also use the voice levels. It has been a game changer so I do not have to constantly repeat my directions.
I was JUST talking to my teacher friends about having multiple widgets on the screen at the same time. Countdown timers and clocks are huge with my 6th graders and this is perfect. I’m going to share this with my faculty! Thanks for the awesome resource!
Pocketful of Primary update: I’ve been using this site since this Monday and it’s a huge hit! My students LOVE being able to see everything important in one place. It’s also helped cut down on the amount of times my students ask “What time is it?” or, the question I hate, “When does class get over?” 😂 I shared with our entire middle school faculty and so many were impressed!
You mentioned this in one of your previous videos and I've been using it in my 7/8 classroom ever since! I absolutely love it. While I'm working with one group I type a reminder of instructions for the rest of the class. Timer, clock and sound level help greatly with classroom management. Great tips! Thank you.
I love how you share your experience with your school teaching career. I bet you are a amazing teacher and your students love you thank you for sharing all of your amazing things that happen in your career
I’m definitely using this in my classroom tomorrow! You have been so helpful to me during this first year of teaching 4th grade. You’ve been like my virtual mentor lol! I definitely love your behavior management techniques and now this opportunity to incorporate technology is just so cool ! Especially the exit poll. My kiddos are going to love it ! Thanks so much
First, I absolutely love you and strive to be a great hard working teacher like you. Second, the mountain on your screen is called "Kanchanjunga" which is from my country Nepal. That makes me super proud. hehe
I absolutely love classroom screen!! I was first introduced to it at a substituting job & was blown away by all its features!! Thank you so much for this tutorial!! It was super helpful!!
I did not think I was going to be using this when I started watching the video but I'm sold! I would use all of these widgets at one time or another. I find it helpful to have noise level/ timer/ instructions on the board during group or independent work time! I live the exit poll too! A great way to finish off an activity.
I remember the vlog where you talk about this web site the first time and I’ve been using it since then. It is my absolute favourite! Tbh, I have used just the clock and timer and sometimes the note thing. I think it’s great you have explained how to use other widgets with real class examples. Thank you!
I teach high school English and use the stoplight to indicate whether or not student should get chromebooks. Red is no. Green is access Google classroom at the start of class. Yellow is courtesy mode, meaning it can be on your desk, but you are not actively on it because I need to give instructions first.
Thank you for creating this video! I was just making this video for my fellow staff members (I have an unedited half made copy in my imovie), but yours is so thorough, I don't have to finish it (I can just link yours!!). I use this almost every day for something (usually timer). I generally let it take 1/2 the screen and then use keynote or ppt to list group names (because two text boxes is limiting for what I need). But it is a GREAT Tool! Thanks again.
Yes! I forgot to mention that you could shrink the screen and have it only displayed on half your screen. I'm so happy this is useful for you and your staff! Thanks! 👍
What a legend you are!! I am teaching equivalent fractions next term and always have trouble showing the connections visually (using ICT). I will definitely use this function!
Thank you Michelle!! I cannot wait to implement this is my classes next week. I teach elementary general music and this is going to be soo useful:) thanks for always sharing quality useful tools.
I truly think this video just changed my life in the classroom. How did I not know about this? I love that you can change the language settings (I’m in Germany) 😍 Thank you so much!
Hey, I absolutely love the videos you make. I am not very tech savy, but that is changing, and it is mostly because of you. You explain things very well, and your videos are never boring. I really like that! The website you described in this video is awesome. I love it! I tried the markers with the white board widget and they write so much better than the other ones I've seen. I also like that you can make it full screen. I will definitely be using this website a lot. Thanks so much, Michelle!
Love this video and on point content!! I cannot wait to share this video with my teacher friends and fellow e coaches I know. It is such a great resource. It serves multiple purposes plus it’s free. People use classroom screen!! It is a life saver!!
Awesome video and review!! You gave the best ideas and you using the program as you're talking about it was very helpful. Could you do a video on how to effectively use plan time? Do you use a schedule like Mondays are grading, Tuesdays are phone calls? I'd love to see how you balance it all with your after school responsibilities. You're do inspiring and helpful! Love your channel!!
Thank you so much Kaitlyn! I have shared a lot about what I would do during my planning time in my old vlogs. Honestly, I don't stick to a specific schedule because my weeks can change so much. I try to get all of my grading done at school so I don't have to take it home. I typically do most of my lesson planning on Sunday nights so I can focus on grading, emails, etc. during the week!
Thank you so much for sharing this & for the clear, detailed explanation. This looks like something that would be very useful in my HS classroom. Thanks for another A+ video Michelle! Hugs from California.
Great video, even if about a year old. Way to stay out of the GIF pronunciation fight, and I totally agree on the webcam for a background idea. There are a few changes to how the widgets work, so everyone should sign up for free and play around with it. I find the drawing widget seems to have changed the most, although now it has a timer widget separate from a stopwatch widget. I think the poll runs a little different as well. 👍
Thank you for sharing another practical, fun and engaging web tool. Can't wait to try it. BTW, Flippity has been a class favorite for my little firsties so thank you for that one, too!
Thank you so much for this super informative video!!! I teach 4th, 6th, and 7th at a Catholic school in MD and I was looking for something exactly like this tool!
Can’t wait to use and share this! Would love to see more videos with these types of helpful apps. Btw, I love your “favorites” videos as well. Ok I love ALL your videos. 😂You’re AMAZING!👍🏻
First time visitor! With the pandemic going on, I would love to see more video on web-tools and programs and how to use theme in google classroom. BTW, I also love your video lighting!
If I make my screen at home then the day before it is gone when I put it in in class it is gone. Is the pro version the only option to save. Will I have the screens forever
Thank you! For the assessment for how the lesson went with the emojis, does that require the students to have a cell phone because my students are not allowed to have cell phones in class?
hi, i am becoming a fan of yours in almost all vlogs you made and this one is 1 of the things that caught my attention since it is new to me but i have a question, in this time of distance learning, can we share screen this one? thanks for your help
thank you so much for sharing this i really like it. We are going to have an i pad class for teachers on thursday, do you know other such usefull sites we could use in our classes?
Hello. This was absolutely helpful. Thanks for sharing! I just have a quick question for you. If I wanted to have feedback from my students in the ExitPoll Widget, What do I need to do for them to have access to it? How do I share it? Thanks in advance.
Please tell me how to use exit poll I just want to share my screen in zoom and ask children to click on the emoji.. But it's not working Please help me
I have a question, how do in ensure that you will get paid by RUclips? I hard that if u don't do the procedure right u won't get paid, or it's just a rumour🤔
I loved it! Michelle, do you have any tips for online portfolio platforms that are kid friendly? My school is demanding the kids to make theirs but weebly has been really complicated for my 12 year olds (Brazilian bilingual students). I'd love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks
Hey Michelle, I seriously love your channel! I binge watch it all the time. and you have helpful content that I go back to and refer for different things... lol anyways. I am currently at the tail end of my undergrad work to become a teacher and I was wondering if you could provide a video, or a series would be awesome, about what things to really focus on as studying to be a teacher please? Like should I be focusing on getting interviews to see current teacher's opinions? Is there one subject that you found helpful to take compared to another? Thank you Steph Lara
I love classroom screen and use it every single day. My kids have responded very well to it and are getting better at reading and following directions.
I'm so happy to hear that! I definitely think it is helpful for teachers and students alike! Yay for following directions, ha! 👏
I use classroom screen almost daily! I use it to write simple multi step directions for students to refer to. We use the stoplight to signal movement in the room. I’m a kid and I watch all this it’s just SO entertaining u make it for everyone!!

You are so welcome! It is a fantastic resource... especially because it is free! Thanks for your kind words! ❤️
I used it today with my 4th graders. They loved trying to keep the quiet meter on green! Winning!!! Thank you.

I am thankful to have this tool. I'm using the type text more often. Then I screen shot for future revision.

I love your pink shirt. The color looks great on you. Excited about this website.
This is new to me. I cannot wait to use it in my classroom, if I ever get back in it. The pandemic and distant learning needs to be over!
This was very informative! I am a library media specialist and will be sharing your video with the teachers at my school.
I've been using classroom screen for a year or two and there was a lot I didn't know! Thanks for sharing!!
Can you please do a video on how you create your PowerPoint and worksheets?

Wondering the same thing. 😉
Yes... it is definitely an accent thing!
Funny, that's how my wife says it. She also says straw with an L (strall)

My timer doesn’t have the hourglass feature. Is this only in the paid version?
This video is several years old so it's possible that yours looks different from updates they have done on the website.
Hey Michelle!!
I loved it!
Michelle, do you have any tips for online portfolio platforms that are kid friendly? My school is demanding the kids to make theirs but weebly has been really complicated for my 12 year olds (Brazilian bilingual students). I'd love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks
Great I already share it. Thanks
Free! I love this. I think this will be very helpful.
