    I've just set my little Charger up to Drop C
    The action on it is outstanding just a wee baw hair of a truss rod adjustment to compensate for the drop tuning. I'm chuffed. Most guitars I own are 4 figures - ESP customs, Balaguer Select Custom to fame a few. This wee guy can stand proud with them (I'll no doubt change out the pickups). Qnd
    My main reason wiz I've always wanted a Charvelle Surf caster this looked the part.

    • @zoostationjason
      @zoostationjason  2 года назад

      A baw hair is the greatest unit of measurement about! Great that this affordable guitar is standing up to your expensive ones, I was pretty astounded with the quality of it too!

    Both together sounds brighter as the pickups are in parallel. Two resistances in parallel reduces the resistance and impedance a bit like how a lower output pickup has a lower impedance and resistance.

    Awesome review and playing. If I could get a metallic orange or copper, especially with the pink model's iridescent pickguards, it would be a no-brainer as it's a very stylish guitar that sounds great. I'm trying to buy no more Chinese guitars and instead buy more Vietnamese guitars like IYV, so that would be great for me. Maybe a Lipstick Red - Hartwood already offers that finish in another model.

    Subscribed, cos you're a West Coaster like myself. Sound like a Glesga lad, but maybes Ayrshire? Great review, by the way. Is the action easy to adjust? I can't fret a guitar any more, after a stroke, so I'm attempting to learn slide, so the higher the action the better. I was actually thinking of trading my Squier Cabronita Telecaster for a cheap SG. To be honest, it doesn't even much matter if the fretwork is sharp etc, cos I don't fret no more! Anyway, best of the west on your channel!

    • @zoostationjason
      @zoostationjason  3 года назад

      Thanks so much for your kind comments Nick, I am indeed a west coaster, Paisley born and bred here! The action is super easy to adjust, just a flat head screwdriver in the bridge and turn to raise it, just making sure to be careful as the stop tail piece can get marked easily with a screwdriver. That’s brilliant you’re turning your hand to slide guitar - I love it! I can’t get the action as low as I’d like on this so it would probably lend itself very well to a slide set up! Thanks again,

      @@zoostationjason thanks , ya I subscribed. I was eying up a few at that Gear4music site. I was debating between the Hartwood verbratto cigar burst and the subzero rouge verbratto. I was thinking that the Hartwood wood probably be better quality but there’s no reviews on it at all that I could find. I was also eying up the Hartwood revival amd the 56. Thoughts ? Or maybe you know of some other gems that don’t cost a small fortune. I’m in Canada so keep that in mind. They need to ship here. I recently got a few Harley Bentons , some of them seem pretty awesome, others not so much. Thoughts on them ?

    • @zoostationjason
      @zoostationjason  3 года назад +1

      The Hartwood stuff seems to getting decent praise so I’m sure they would be cool! Harley Benton too look great, I’ve played one (one of their Les Paul copies) and it was okay, but it was on of their cheaper options, I think going around $300 would get you something cool! The only problem with any of this is you never know if you might get the one “bad” guitar, it’s always better to go and try a guitar in person and see if it feels good but I understand these brands don’t sell in store - have you looked at Epiphone or Squier? You’d be able to try them at stores :)

    Don't buy this guitar at all, mine came with a damaged fretboard, a cheap binding sinks under the metal frets and there are bare parts between the fretboard and the binding. Gear4music when you report this is only offering you products to lubricate the fingerboard and it creates problems to accept the three-year warranty that the guitar has. Bad sales policy

      @@zoostationjason Dear Jason, I have more carefully reviewed your beautiful review which convinced me to buy this guitar which is very beautiful. From your video you can see that the wood of the fingerboard is less wide than the neck, the remaining space is occupied by a binding. In my guitar in some places the fretboard edge binding has broken under the metal frets and the fretboard does not adhere perfectly to the binding. So a major flaw of this guitar is the fretboard. Thanks for your hospitality and kindness, I had to understand a few things. A warm greeting
