Ccat is conducted 2 times in a year. Once in Jun/Jul and another in Dec/Jan. The notification from cdac comes approximately 1 month prior to exam date. So plan as if you are taking an exam in Dec or Jun alike.
If you are eligible as per criteria then you can go for it, you should have a legit reason for the gap though and more importantly I would highly recommend before you put your hard earned money and time into it, just call the cdac acts(number is on the website) and consult with them directly. They will be best able to guide you. Good luck.
I would rather suggest you to go for Vector Academy to pursue PG course with placement. You will get placed in CDAC. But it can be a little difficult for you to get placed in initial phases of hiring. Vector Academy is also best course like CDAC. You can consider this one over CDAC.
