As I mentioned in your previous comment, CDAC itself is an Autonomous government organization which works on Advance Computing and many techno innovations. So every CDAC center is an organization itself and I'm hired there to work on technology advancement. Training department (ACTS) takes care of student training programs. I hope it cleared your doubt.

I understand, time is tough these days but there are not enough opportunities in core like mechanical, civil and electrical too that's why people are shifting towards IT. In my opinion leaving IT is not a good option as you have already 2 years of experience in it. I would suggest stick to it and wait for market to improve.
Bro I am a mechanical engineer. I have a career gap of 7 years. If I want to join in c dac . In placements I will get a job or not. I want to prepare for the c cat exam for the next batch.
To be very honest, having different background and gap do effect on opportunities in CDAC also coz many companies do consider these points but not all do the same. So if you don't have any better options then CDAC might be an option to you. let me be very clear, you have to work hard and also destiny will play a measure role.
@@JinseiJindagi yes in Today world of recession and layoff , cdac Bangalore is a safe company. You will be in safe hands! In long run only switch in big MNC like Microsoft and Google else stay there.
@@AdityaSharma-yj8jk job is government, but CDAC hire engineers on consolidated salary and contractual basis ( 2-3 years) which might extend further according to your performance and project needs.
