Have loved this musician since the late 70’s. Still do. Glad he seems well.

Jonathan, we miss you in Lowell MA when you used to play at those small outside mini shows. I think you may have been booked to play in one of Lowell's first Folk Festival, you came many times to Lowell.

met him once one on one. He was cruising the coast on his Novi lobster yacht pulling in for gigs. i was on the boat in the next slip, working and heard guitar riffs and bits of singing. i was thinking.. mmm that guy in that boat is pretty good. He came out and we chatted for 10 minutes about boat stuff, like you do. i said ..well i gotta get back to work and he said yeah i gotta get ready for work. when a guy showed up on the dock a few minutes later(his driver i guess) he came out with his guitar and i said nice chatting with you and introduced myself. Then he did. It only dawned on me then. Just a regular, nice guy.

To this day still one of my most played folk artists. While I love his sound and his harmonica playing, I always wished he played more songs that leave alcohol and drugs out of the mix, something like the following (forgive the inclusion of Train of Glory - I wanted to include at least one tune which displays his harmonica virtuosity):
    Give Us A Song
    It's A Beautiful Day
    Dream Song
    Paper Doll
    Honky-Tonk Stardust Cowboy
    That's What Our Life Is
    Sunshine
    Don't Cry Blue
    Train of Glory
Have Yourself A Good Time For Me
My Home Ain't In The Hall Of Fame
