I love this phone. Absolutely adore it. They did virtually everything right with this device. I can live without wireless charging as it has great battery life and 67 watt charging here in the States.
@@electrology OnePlus is quick with security updates, and usually quick with OS updates, but I think it's worth mentioning that the Open's OS updates will probably roll out slower than other flagships since OnePlus has to develop a specific flavor of OxygenOS built for a foldable every time, and that's not something they have experience doing.
I absolutely LOVE my OnePlus Open! Everything about it, from form factor, battery life, screen brightness, speakers, camera system and the 16gb RAM that it has! No foldable out there (as far as I know), even has more than 12gb RAM, and of course, the more RAM a phone has, just like a computer, programs, apps and the overall experience become faster and smoother. Samsung's Fold 6 is coming in the near future as well but even that is reported to have only 12gb RAM still. The Oxygen OS is actually a breath of fresh air too. I didn't mind switching to a different OS anyway because it's still an Android-based foundation, which I am now a fan of. I've switched to the S23 Ultra from having nothing but iPhones ever since the first inception in 2007 and I just don't want to go back to Apple anymore. Lastly, that screen crease. It's barely noticeable! Just run your finger through the screen between any Foldable out there right now and you'll notice a HUGE difference. Excellent video!!! 4:50 Refresh Rate will go from 1 to 120HZ only at 100% brightness... To avoid flickering they don't allow display to go below 60Hz in low brightness levels
This phone is absolutely amazing. From the cameras to the 67w charging, unreal battery life 2k resolution screens it has EVERYTHING. The weight is very good in the hand. I genuinely love this device and cant see myself ever leaving one plus at all as long as they keep banging out devices like this beauty
I would wait for refinements in foldable phones hardware software. So i might get foldables phones in next couple years. I might even ditch xiaomi pad 6 if get a foldable phone.
My Xiaomi 11 Lite cost $327 brand new off of eBay in America. My Xiaomi Pad 5 (Chinese Version) cost $237. That's $600 for a very slim phone and very slim tablet. If I lose or break either I won't cry.

In case there is a problem with the device, is there enough support or replacement programs for nominal cost like the other brands? Do not take the support aspect lightly as most of the brands fall flat exactly in this area.
There are many great fold phones, but the last one released globally has a "normal" front display. The Galaxy Fold had a marmite aspect ratio, and I wouldn't say I like marmite. So, the OnePlus is something I and many others can now buy, as we use the outer display 50-66% of the time. That makes it the number one global smartphone, though Honor has one coming in Q1/2024. The Pixel Fold is second best, and for me, the Galaxy Fold 5 is at the bottom due to a poor design. No wonder Galaxy Fold 5 sales are tanking and why you can get them close to £800 off, new on eBay, shortly after release. I bet Samsung gives us a proper aspect ratio next year!
This channel reviews 95% Android smartphones. How will people base their decisions on your reviews and comparisons, now that you have openly advertised that you're an Apple fangirl? Now it all makes sense why every recent iPhone review have been insanely positive.
...iPhones are fantastic; why would they not have favourable reviews? There is anti-Apple YT channels that make money by blasting anything Apple, and there are hundreds of affiliated Samsung channels that will make love to Samsung products at every turn.

How about regular security patch updates as well as software updates? The feature drop of Pixel has made me hooked on to Pixel phones.
