This must be the thousandth time I've come back to watch this video and I just wanted to say, to everyone who is part of this channel and makes this glorious music, thank you so so much. I was baptized and raised Catholic, but my family stopped going to church when I was around 11 or 12. I'm not sure why we stopped going, but all I know is that most of my family, especially my siblings, are all atheists now. I'm 19 now, and in those 7 or 8 years I lost basically all my faith and had been calling myself an atheist too, although looking back I guess I always had a little part of me that still held onto my faith. But then I discovered your channel, and listening to this song in particular, along with Lux Vitae, it just stirred something in my mind that pushed me to try and reconnect with God and with my Catholic upbringing. I started praying the rosary again a few weeks ago, I've been trying to relearn the things I learned in Bible study that I've forgotten, and I'm talking with the Catholic church on my college campus to see if there's a way I can do my Confirmation and begin attending Mass again. It's been hard, I've been holding in a lot of guilt since I haven't been to Mass or confession in at least 7 years, but every time I feel down I come listen to this music and it lifts my spirits immeasurably. So again, thank you so so much for sharing your talents with the world. It helps more than you could ever imagine. May God bless you all, for all the hard work you put into this channel.

Hey brother. So funny I am also an Orthodox Christian who is going through a harsh period of time and listening to this song.
Something makes me think I am also suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder. I thought I was an extreme perfectionist, but this thing gets harsher and harsher. It's almost impossible for me to connect with people and be okay with the imperfections of this life.

This is an ultimate example of combining the old and the new. Skills like this have not been seen for years. This is what we lack in today's society.
I am a Christian and this song is simply beautiful. It has an epicness to an extent that most songs of praise do not have. I found you through the Song of Beren and Lúthien, I am a huge fan of Tolkien, and when I saw songs like this, my respect for you increased. Technically Gregorian chant is singing the Psalms, not just any hymn in Latin.

All these beautiful monuments from a time before concrete boxes covered in glass and overuse of timber in the stead of good stone.
I am not a Catholic. But one thing I do appreciate about the Catholic Church is their desire (no matter how terribly imperfectly) to show proper reverence and honor to God through such things as songs like this. You did a MASTERFUL job, and I really am thankful for what you do.

@@IIBloodXLustII They are very similar, but there are enough small differences that we consider separate faiths. At least how I've been brought up 🤔. One that comes to mind is that in the Christian faith I grew up in is that we do not treat the Virgin Mary as a holy figure, she's in the scriptures we learn but not someone we pray too. Another is we don't "believe" (for lack of a better word) in the Pope, nor that humans hold the power nor divine right to perform exorcisms. I'm sure there are more differences but those are the ones that ce to mind, sadly I'm not an expert on all the diverging beliefs between what I've been raised to consider as two different faiths.

It is fascinating to see that new lithurgic texts and songs are still composed these days, and even in that elderly fashion that feels truly like talking to a god. Still, it doesn't feel "dusty" like many old pieces from old days do. A fresh and modern sound, while still having that sacral calmness. An absolutely amazing amalgam.
