The most beautiful performance, with great charm and tenderness and Moravec's exquisite phrasing and touch. He has no equal.

BorisCr oh no! I didn’t know he had passed on. He was one of my favorites, though his recordings are hard to come by. Did he not record much?

      Pop.
He was one of my favorites, too. He still is. I'm sad I never got to hear him live. Yes, there aren't a lot of his recordings. I understand he was quite a perfectionist.

The 7th piece is ethereal and so calming, it adds a whole new dimension to feeling with music.

Moravec always seems to bring fresh insights to music I have heard many times. I appreciate his subtle shadings and nuance. It is clear that he has technique in abundance but even technically challenging music never gets bogged down with technical display. (Sample some of his playing of the more difficult chopin works for instance)

Finally Moravec plays a composer in the composer's style without trying too make it sound new like Pogorelich did and ended his respect on the concert scene. Pletnev is worse but the playing is so classy everyone just listens astonished .Moravec makes these small gems sound broader than they are : Traumerei is excellent music playing ! and beautiful sound and sculpted phrasing like Michelangeli is his object everywhere .I don't know how he gets this full soundGluck genug pedalling, the phrase line seems miraculous. Some how it sounds as if he is controlling the end of the tone it'sall so impossibly clean yet it's all pedaled.Unbelievable sound! ! to say something new whether or not it's stylistically correct ! What did Michelageli see in this man ? Excellent playing ,I dislike his carefulness (he's afraid of smudges or too masculine playing . No drive or heroism that's why his Chopin is not right . I must be wrong so many say he is admirable ! I must hear his Schumann concerto !

A sensitive performance, seriously marred, however, by frequent and excessive rallentandos and other agogic hesitations that give the appearance of improvisation to many of the pieces. In this Schumann work, pianist Claudio Arrau reigns supreme.

They are artists, not kings my good sire. How one could derive that opinion from a work of art such as this is beyond my comprehension. Please note the Ritardando markings all over the score. Should he have played Allegro?
