@Nathan If most buyers and sellers don't understand the rating system, and I believe they don't based on your explanation, is the Hagerty rating system skewed? Here's a 4-point valuation model that doesn't rate all classic cars(?), and the top two ratings represent perhaps 5% of cars, then #3 captures maybe another 20%. I understand it's a tool but just calling out an unspoken issue. Such a great discussion and thanks for the content, PCA!
First time viewer I just subscribed. I'm from Texas and I doubt very seriously if I will ever be able to buy the car of my dreams but one can always dream. I love the content
What I really appreciate about the last Emory was that it had a number of subtle visual changes and has motor, brake & suspension improvements that make it a rewarding car to drive. I'll take an Emory C coupe any day. Thanks for a worthwhile market view.
Sorry I missed the live session. My question is our newer/older models going to rise due to models going all EV? I have a 2015 Cayman GTS in pristine condition under 30k miles.
This has happened to me personally along the years , not seeing a car the way it is.Than when the deal is done people in know will tell what the car really is.They don t need to pull the car apart they have seen it all before they know what to look for.Its a different story now for me, for I have the people I trust look it up for me.Get somebody who s in the trade (whom you trust) and he will help you buy a decent Porsche.Doing it alone if you re not an expert that is will not prove a good experience.
Why oh why do all these channels ignore the Cayenne and Macan which account for 80% of all Porsche purchases and most watchers if the own a Porsche will drive one of the 2 models and yet on RUclips they are invisible .. ? Please reply
You do realize when you're saying a car sells for 67K in the open market vs a car selling for 75K at RM you did not remove the 10% sellers fee or the cost of preping the car and transport to the auction. You lose money on the 7K deltas.
I think the confusion here is Nathan and Rob are using the Porsche internal model number version 991.2 (nine-nine-one dot two), not the traditional model number 911 (nine-eleven). Same car, just different ways to describe it.

Vu - absolutely get some professional help w your 356 buy, gotta keep emotion out of the purchase game. Cs are great cars especially for daily use ... but... there is nothing inexpensive when it comes to repair, replacement, rebuild of any year 356, IMHO - most current owners of 356s have had them a long time and they did not buy them at these prices. That black C coupe you showed here was maybe $20,000 10 years ago. Suggest you attend a 356 Registry event, just your attendance will break the average age curve ! We have had our '65 coupe for over 12 years and are way way upside down if you count up the bills and its a 3/driver. Then again we do not care as we drive our car about 8,000 miles a year and love every mile. Buy that black coupe and to get it up to our "Porsche snob/love" standards and you would easily spend another $100,000 and that is not even concour condition. I would suggest, based on real life experience, getting a regular B or C 356 in concour condition, pony up at least $200,000 with todays parts and labor costs.
Grey hair dude must be single. A wife would not let her man out of the house without using a hairbrush first. lol Just messing with you. Great episode.
One more thing, the PCA as it appears on this channel appeals to rich elites. In Australia we have a word for that beginning with W. Honestly I think your content is good but Nathan constantly bragging about collecting pristine Porsches is an affront to normal folk who work hard and would count themselves lucky to ever own one Porsche. Nathan is a very knowledgeable man but the subtle yet constant braggadocio is too much… despite that comment thanks for the channel.
My research using BaT auction data for 996.1s for the last 3 years shows these cars peaked in September of 22 and are drifting lower now.
Great show! Love these market updates and Nates knowledge of everything Porsche!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the sub! Keep the dream alive.

We love it too, but like you we'd take a coupe first.

So question on transaxle market - is that flat/slightly cooling, or still trending up?
I think a better description of the Emory "Hot Rod" would be "Restomod".
The new stuff is so good, I'm surprised the air cooled cars are still crazy pricey.
Different markets. The air-cooled Porsches are a unique experience.

OMG that 928 GTS price!

is the new thing to call it a nine-one-one vs. nine-eleven?
Don't think so, to each their own.

Can’t even get a 991.2 at a reasonable price these days. Heaven forbid prices come back to normal.
Great vid, thanks!
Glad you liked it!

Thanks for the advice. Will def look to all the 356 experts before going down the path of ownership.
One should be able to rebuild a 356 engine/trans/carbs etc. On their own.
Just sayin!
Geeze. Bring it down to earth guys
Hiw much is a #4 914 going for ?
I love Porsche and this video hits the spot.
Thanks for watching!
Great vid! 997 GT3 are where it’s at
We are also huge fans of the 997 GT3. Thanks for watching.

Sorry if it comes off that way to you. That said, we share these collections and knowledge so folks can buy their Porsche with confidence.
