when motorola launched the first flip style foldable in 2019 i was blown away and said to myself "this will be my next phone!" now in 2024 the new motorola razr+ will be my next phone and my first foldable. the evolution in the foldable space is amazing, could be even better if wasn't for samsung laziness, but what we already have is incredible.
I just traded my s24 ultra for the zflip 6. Very happy with the swap. Couldn't stand the obnoxiously large form factor of the ultra. It was a great phone just not for me. I see alot of comments in reviews complaining about how bad the cameras on the flip 6 are. The zflip can't do some of the zooming and macro shots the ultra can do, but as far a point and shoot the photos I shot with both the ultra and zflip looked identical. I'm not a power user and the small form factor with a usable cover screen is a chefs kiss.
Same, just sold my s24 ultra I prefer this form factor and weight. I wish the battery was better though but it's still a great phone.
I too have traded the S24U for the Flip same reason as you.
Rockin' the FOLD 3 still, hopefully this November the country gets better and I upgrade to a 6.
I got the flip 6, had a flip 5. While it wasnt a concern, it was starting to bother me (the camera, the smaller battery, the over heating and the lagginess from time to time). And if the 7 gets a redesign, im getting that also lol
Also, im so sick of the razr being touted as better due to the screen. You literally have to shorten the screen to make it fully usable
I went ahead and picked up one. Why not. Fold 6 and flip 6. No brainer.
First year ive tried the Flip, I actually really like it! every other phone I hold now feels huge! 😄 obviously you need to open the flip to do certain things but I find myself not having to open it every time I need to interact - replying to a quick message or email etc. Definitely room for improvement but so far so good. Customising the cover display with video wallpapers etc is pretty nice too! Plus I paid £700 for it BNIB from Ebay, wasn't paying £1000+ 😄

I really fell in love with the z flip 6, I just love the design and that you don’t have to carry a brick around all the time like my iPhone 12pm. My phone is in perfect condition and will probably last 2-3 more years, I can’t wait to see what Samsung is gonna do in the future with the flip series
My friends and family that use a folding phone have the Z Flip. Since using the Z Flip, they don't want the Fold. They upgrade to the newest Flip each year.
The outer display is limited. It almost feels like using an iPhone, I can just feel the restriction. They need to open up the capability. I love my 6, loved my 5, both of them, loved my 4, and my 3. I dented my display on a couple of them from leaving them open. The screens cracked in the crease in my 3 and my 4. I still buy them, they are great.
Waiting for skins to be released by Qskinz here in the UK, easily the best UK skins company. Think it's is gonna look sweet with one, especially with the parts for the flat sides. Have put matte protectors on the front and inside too.

Because the flip sells itself period period period so they purposely slow track some its upgrades and tell influences to hype the fold (but we know the z flip 6 is the king

Got a deal that's way too good. I'm trading in my s10e for 500$. The monthly payment will be 2.50$ which I'm going to pay off the same day. 45$ service plan 24 months. I'll trade it in with samsung if the s25 hits with a trade-in bonus. 😅

It's a kid phone. I had a flip 5 and found it too much opening and closing for me. Gave to my then 19yr old daughter. She got tired of it after a few months and went to the dark side.

@stephenbriggs51 on paper the Moto hardware is better, but lack of updates and bugs that will never be fixed will leave you frustrated.
