About Bowie.. don’t ignore it. Kids don’t know right from wrong and they need to learn it from us. When you laugh you are telling him that what he’s doing is funny, ok. He needs to hear no from you too, not just Alex. Tell him how it makes you feel as well… “It hurts mommy when you play rough/hit”. After that tell him the good things he does that makes you happy, this way he won’t think he’s “bad”. “Mommy loves when you hug me”.
On the “bad” note I recommend you read the books No Bad Kids and The Whole Brain Child. They were eye openers for me on my gentle parenting journey. Just know you are doing great! Hang in there… I know a lot of people hates the term but they don’t call it terrible twos for nothing 😆

We have a Landrover Discovery and I wish we had it when we had kids (could NOT have afforded it back then though 🤣) and it has so much space. It's not as massive as the Defender but so much room, easy to drive around and park and super comfy to take on road trips around Oz, head up to the snow in Tassie and tackle the roads. Also, point on hitting. He's not doing it for attention from Alex....its imperative that his father figure let's him know its not OK. You also need to say no, we do not hit people. I'd say he's just doing it because kids at school do and he just needs some boundaries, which is what all kids need. It's how they learn what's acceptable and what's not. 🤷 Love your vlogs BTW they're a highlight in the week. ❤
when bowie hits or is rough you could try saying to him "mommy doesnt like that, that hurts me" and saying "it seems like you need a break" then get up and walk away/do whatever out of his reach and ignore for 30-45 seconds. then asking "are you ready to play nicely with mommy?" and going into a new game or new activity. and having alex ignore for that time too. just something that has worked for me :)

One thing I would say about Bowie hitting, it might be because of what he sees or gets at nursery. Usually when kids start nursery they learn this and repeat it at home. I would suggest checking it with his nursery to keep an eye on what’s happening.

Defender!! I’ve heard the Tesla batteries can be troublesome too, similar to a phone battery, the more you use it the less economy you’ll get out of a charge.
I totally say the Land Rover just based off it being bigger. But I haven’t heard great things about teslas cause you can’t do long distances and you’re dependent on where chargers are

Hi! My son can be picky about food and recently our biggest win has been to pretend he has the sharpest teeth in the whole world and they can bite through things as hard as rocks. I try to bite a broccoli and say “no way I can’t do it!” then he will bite through one and I will act amazed. He loves the attention and being the strongest. He eats foods he would never normally eat. Might be worth a shot :)

It always surprises me that people want more space and get a big 4wd. Practicality with kids having a van would be better. Sliding doors and soo much room and boot space. Guess it’s not a fancy brand.

Most kids hit at some point, my son never saw anyone hit he didn’t attend daycare and still hit, it’s a phase and yes give it the least amount of attention as possible, ‘I won’t let you hit me’ is also a good thing to say and you can move away

From a European point of view, a land rover as an every day car seems like such an odd choice to me :D Even a family of five would probably get weird looks for this here. Not even talking about this from a climate protecting point of view... I don't mean this in any bad way, just amuses me how different this is in comparison haha

Every time I see a peloton bike I just can't helping thinking of that scene with Big in just like that.. honestly that scene just scared me of peloton bikes. Even though I know the bike isn't what caused anything (I'll try not to give any spoilers for those people who haven't seen it). But literally that scene was so traumatic for me aha.
