I am proud to be a coconut as I have an intellectual mindset and am not a katak bawah tempurong or Melayu Terencat Akal.

Coconut doesn’t necessarily mean betrayal of your community. It just means that you actually don’t belong to it anymore, having now identified with another (a white one, in the case of coconut). For a migrant, this is not necessarily a bad thing, but it should be understood that this person does not have any sympathies or in any way represents sentiments of their original community because they have renounced it. being called a coconut is only an insult if you still actually consider yourself as belonging to the community, ie it’s only an insult if you feel it’s an unwarranted description, because in that context your community is rejecting you. whereas if you already rejected your community then this shouldn’t be insulting. this is similar to “gone native” in colonial times, used by white colonials to accuse their fellows of having crossed over to side with the natives.

How many time these politicians have said racist words towards other people publicly? should they be not charged? why are they protected? The laws that are made should be changed, people of a country do not make laws but the politicians make them, this is against the meaning of democracy.
