    Gina, thank you so much. I have been watching both of you channels for several months. Your designs are beautiful and your instructions are easy to follow. Most especially I want to thank you for your generosity in letting your veiwers, followers, sell your designs. I can only speak for myself, but I'm 70 and I really love and need to keep my hands busy. Selling my work will help buy new beads. Thank you again for all that you share.

    I was gifted with several large tubes of Czech 12/0 seed beads last year and was frustrated at how wonky and irregular they were. I didn’t know what I could really use them for and it saddened me as they were a gift from my dear cousin. I’m so happy to now know I can use those seeds so this project! Thanks for sharing and sparing me the waste! I’ve done Russian Spirals before but it’s been awhile. Your so easy to follow! ❤️ I love to watch your tutorials!

      I know what you are saying, when I was learning this stitch I had the same issue. That is why, though, I do step up, I do not make it a big deal on the video, it’s not an obvious step up, and to make so, makes it confusing.

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  2 года назад

      It’s just another way to make the spiral, but it confuses people, so I do not use that method. It does not really change the look of the spiral much.

    Hi Gina. I know you answered a question regarding a thread protector and you said that it would work. I was wondering if a Bead would also work between the bead cap and the closed jump ring? Thank you for your awesome videos!

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders

      Joselyn Sphar sure, but you have to be able to sew through it many times and the jump ring will still be in contact with the thread, but it will look prettier.

    I hope you still read comments on this older video. My question is, if I would like to add another color how many of each would i need. Example. say i wanted 11/0s 8/0s and 15/0s how many of each would i need.?

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  5 лет назад

      That’s an impossible question to answer, just have a tube of each on hand and use what you need. Counting seed beads is not something I do. I just make piles on my bead mat and use them.

    Great video!! I have not seen the bead caps shown as good as you in this tutorial. I have always been afraid to make a spiral because I think I would make a mess. Haa Question, could you use a thread guard between the closed jump ring and bead cap? Not sure that would look very good or would work very well. Thank you again for this video. ♥

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  5 лет назад

      There is a step up, it’s just not obvious and only confuses the viewer, so I do the stitch properly, I do step up, I just don’t make a big deal out of it.

  • @StitchesbySharonH

    So pretty!! Question, what is the difference between the 6 lb and 8 lb fire line? I’m seeing quite a few videos that say you can use either so I’m curious about how they differ. Thank you in advance! 💜

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  6 лет назад +2

      8lb is a heavier test weight than the other, and the diameter is larger. 8 lb is better for larger beads or beads with large holes. 6lb is better for lots of passes through beads, especially smaller beads.

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  6 лет назад +1

      I would think that would work as long as you use two colors, otherwise it will be difficult to see your path and the spiral will not show with out a contrast of colors

    First, let me thank you for explaining step by step how to make this beautiful piece. Its the best of all videos I watched as I'm a beginner and I'm starting to make one- thanks to you. Second I have two different colors of 11/0 seed beads,is it ok to continue with same size or is it better like yours (11/0 and 8/0)? Again thanks for the video

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  7 лет назад +2

      +1superlovefire you can do it with two different colors of the same size. I think using two different sizes adds texture and make the spiral effect stand out more. But, either way it work out pretty.

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  7 лет назад
