    ✿ Hey beautiful! It’s Gina from orchidandopal.com. In today's beading tutorial I will show you how to make a bracelet with the Russian Spiral stitch. Four beaded stripes, composed of Miyuki 8/0 Seed Beads with Picasso finish, shiny copper-coated Pyrite, and Celadon Moonstone, alternate with stripes of contrasting 11/0 seed beads, and bring the Canyon Falls palette to life. The bracelet is finished with antique copper colored bead caps, and a ‪@TierraCast‬ toggle clasp.

    That's for this great tutorial, I've tried and tried to do the Russian spiral, but I always mess up. I've given up, I think I screw up at the step.up. but this makes it much clearer. I'm going to try it and I think I can do it correctly thanks to your video. You are a great instructor! I used your instruction to make the half tila bracelet- far better than the tutorial that came with the pattern I purchased!!!

    My beads came this weekend and, despite the giant backlog of projects on my list, I made this one immediately (as a necklace instead of a bracelet) and I love it so much! It combines one of my favorite stitches with some of my favorite colors. Thank you so much for this tutorial! 💚

    Hi Gina, another great video! Exactly what I've been looking for. I was happy to see the four bead version, as I wanted to try it. If doing two bead version do you carry on in the way you would for three beads and step up after adding third addition? Russian spiral is my favorite stitch, just looking to change it up a bit. Thank you again for the video and sharing your talents with all of us!!

    • @ORCHIDandOPAL
      @ORCHIDandOPAL  2 года назад +1

      Hey Heidi! I am so glad this is helpful! I am going to experiment with two colors, and will have to report back. I can tell you for sure that one way is to alternate the two colors - using two of each (as shown in this video with four). If you use two colors in the three color manner, I believe that will create two consecutive rows of one color, and one row of the other. I will need to see if this can be done by simply starting with the two bead colors, but would like to try it before I say for certain. :) Great question! 💜💜💜

    I made the same bracelet as you demonstrated in this video, then ordered more Moonstones from Eureka. Unfortunately, the Raspberry strand (GE-3MORASP) has holes that are too small to go over the eye of the needle, lovely as they are. Thought you and your followers might want to know.

      How about 3mm faceted quartz, Malaysian jade, Czech fire polish, Peruvian Amazonite, dyed magnesite, or simply "shop your stash". Often I'll start a project with certain beads (or yarn, embroidery floss, etc.) in mind, then pull something totally different or unexpected from the stash to use with, or replace the intended materials. 😄
