Lecture 19- Jane Eyre: Background (Author & Context)

In this lecture, we'll discuss a brief summary of the novel Jane Eyre, the life of the author Charlotte Bronte, and the overtones of her life in the novel. We'll also see the various situations amidst which the novel is set.
About the Course
In this course "The English Novel: Interdisciplinary Approaches", students will learn how to approach novels from the perspective of authorial backgrounds, narratology, adaptation theory, and new work in literary theory, including environmental and medical humanities. This course will imbibe the students with the most sophisticated and innovative skills of interpreting novels, and a critical appreciation of novels.
