    You should come out to Portland Oregon and play. We have a great poker scene. 1-2/1-3/5-5 with ZERO RAKE. Only a $20 door fee to play as much as you want at any of the rooms.
    1-2 is a $400 cap, $1000 for 1-3 and $2000 for 5-5. Also double board bomb pots.
    Flights to Portland are less than $100 and it’s a beautiful area.

      For sure, I want to get up to Portland just to see the area. Playing poker while I’m up there will be a bonus 👍🏻

    In the beginning it looks like ur cameraman was happy lol. U said it was warm out and u wore a sweatshirt?
    If ur on an extended downswing, u probably have multiple leaks to go along with runbad. For an extended period, lower the variance of ur play. The purpose of raising is to thin the field. Ur small preflop raises do the opposite, they keep or invite people in. Its tougher to win the pot when half the table is in. Raise to no less than $15. Dont worry if they dont call u in the beginning. Remember, ur not raising to make it easier for them to win the pot. Eventually when they notice $15 or more is ur standard raise, they'll start calling u. Dont forget, they have hundreds of dollars in front of them. Eventually they'll loosen up to ur higher raise size. Sometimes I'll raise pf with a small pair, and if no call, I'll throw my hand in face up and say, I definitely didnt want to see a flop with this! Or if I get a call(s) pf and I cbet and get no call, I'll throw my small pair in face up and say, I had a pair! These usually get people to eventually start calling ur $15+ pf raises.
    If they eventually dont, then ur at a bad table! Start looking at neighboring tables that have bigger flop pots to table change to. They'll probably have looser, weaker players. Table/game selection is key to making money in poker. U make money from weaker players, not from tight players.
    U said normally 1 bluff will get through and 2 others are picked off. U have a leak with ur bluffs. Either theyre not making sense or ur overbluffing. For an extended period, limit ur bluffing to cbets. If u 3bet pf, unless the flop is super wet, cbet it. Ur representing an overpair with ur 3bet.
    A slightly tighter, lower variance approach will more likely get u some wins soon. GL.

    The shadow in the intro 🤣 🤣

      I was wondering how long it would take for this to show up in the comments. I actually thought about recording the intro a second time because of the shadow but then I realized it was funny so I kept the original 😆

    When having an extended downswing, first time you find yourself ahead quit count a win maybe do it again. Puts your mindset that you can win . Changes the universe. Not cosmic just practical psychology.

      100% agree and I will do this to book a win when not vlogging. The thing with vlogging is you’re kind of stuck with a 5-8 hour session if you want to get the footage needed. I guess you can always abandon the episode to book a win or tie two winning sessions into one episode. Something to consider for sure. 👍🏻

    Hi Everyone! I just noticed that the audio is a bit loud on the voiceover. Apologies for that, I'll make sure to adjust the mic on future episodes. Hope you enjoy the poker hands!!

    Not much you can do on that last AA hand. Can’t do anything about MP’s calling raises with T6. But on the QQ hand that you snapped called you definitely lost out on at least $100. If you just make it $145 I bet he calls.

    Audio was fine when I watched.... tough session.... I 1/3 I make my initial raise sizes a little bit bigger now, I realize most players at 1/3 not thinking about 3x n 4x sizing, they thinking about there hand only..... so with premium hands I raise more than normal $16 & $21 depending on how table is playing

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  7 месяцев назад +1

      I find that $1/3 players looks at preflop raises in two way. The first is “it’s only $10 so I call” basically meaning it’s cheap enough for them to call. The second is the classic “why so much” when you raise to $15 or $20. Then they just fold because it’s “too expensive” there is zero consideration of 3x or 4x. Even with 3bets they just consider the overall amount, not the sizing compared to the pot or previous bet.

      @panicpoker Very, very true(lol at why so much) .... but I have learned tht I'd rather win a small pot then lose a big one because I let them in with trash.... now if they call $21 n $25 with trash hands n hit......

    @panicpoker Looking for a 1/3 game for a newbie (2-3 sessions lifetime). Thoughts on Wynn vs. Resorts World?

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  7 месяцев назад

      They both have their pros and cons for newbies. In general, I find that most players at either property are welcoming to new players and will offer up help/tips for newbies. The dealers are great at both properties and will offer up help when asked.
      The Wynn has a deeper buy-in structure with the max being $500 vs. Resorts World where the max buy-in at $1/3 is $400. The Wynn will have a lot more $1/3 tables running than Resorts World so game selection is better at the Wynn. For example, it's not uncommon for Wynn to have 7 tables of $1/3 running where as Resorts World will have 2 or 3 tables of $1/3. Because of the amount of players and tables running, the Wynn can feel a bit more intimidating to new players. Also, you will get $2/5 and even $5/10 players at the Wynn who will sit at $1/3 while waiting for their seat so that can add to the intimidation factor for newbies. You don't get that very often at Resorts World as there are usually seats open.
      Non-poker related things, the food is better at Resorts World in my humble opinion. Also, because the poker room at Resorts World isn't as busy as the Wynn the service will be faster. You can easily get drinks, food, chip runners where as at the Wynn there will likely be a wait.
      My recommendation would be to try both rooms if you can. They are both good in their own way. Keep in mind that you can walk across the street to Resorts World from the Wynn/Encore. It's a short 10 min walk. Also, the poker room at Wynn is actually in Encore but everyone still says the Wynn. Most important thing to remember is HAVE FUN!

    What is the deal with limpers?
    I don't understand why in live poker people love to limp.
    I almost exclusively play online and if you limp, you will immediately be iso raised and targeted by every single reg.
    There will be battles over who gets in the pot with the limper, you just don't limp ever, and all limpers are punished.

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  7 месяцев назад

      I played online years back before Black Friday and players that limped were immediately tagged and targeted. 100% with you on that.
      I’m not sure why/how limping became so common in live poker. Players love to try and see cheap flops with trash hands.
