You are one of my favorite crappie RUclipsrs. It's hard to crappie fish on the bank where I am at because I am basically casting out in the middle of the lake.
Great vid, good to know that the crappie are hitting the docks now. Good tip on going out at noon when they are headed for shade. Thanks for all you do.
Good video and a great way to learn how to catch dock crappie and the way you lay it out anyone can learn. It took me two times to watch it all. My last blood auntie is not doing so great and it takes me away at times. God bless and keep your hook wet.
If you want your minnows even more alive hook it as close to the edge of the tail as you can. Also you could hook the minnows through the mouth right between the eyes and if you can stand on the dock you can vertical jig without a bobber and kill them this time of year. I now also use your technique in my arsenal and it is very deadly at times. Thanks for the tip.
As much as I love the videos I can’t help but think to myself none of this applies to my fall crappie. Fall for us is when the water temp is between 47-60° would love to see you come north, just set my lakes record @3.74 lbs
@ @ so technically I’m in Northern Virginia, so kinda south kinda north, but regardless there’s pretty much no pressure up in this area as everyone is bass fishing
I have the same fish finder Helix 7 MSI G4. What are your settings for the 455mhz DI, SI and 1000mhz DI, SI. I find that early in the morning my 455mhz is so unusable due to clutter in the water column even when sensitivity is at -2, so I always switch up to 1000mhz to get rid of the clutter in the water column.
Nice video and tips Caleb. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!

Watch the local Walmarts and or similar stores in your area. I just snagged a Lifetime Kayak MSRP 246$.. Walked out the door 48$ clearance.😎

God bless you too!
Great video. My trolling motor works best when I face into the wind. It seems to stay where I want to be when I do that anyway.
Yeah it was. Problem was that dock was blocking the southern sky, that will make spot lock act up!
Just picked me up some slab city monkey milk lures gonna try them tomorrow!
Oh they work for sure!
We are ready for the water to go down around here so we can get back at it!
Go get them!
I hope one day to see a video titled “My New PB” and get see a monster 3 pounder. 👍👍
Oh I’m waiting on that!

How north you talking? I mean the south has bigger fish in general. But yeah almost 4 pounder is insane

@ im actually trying to break the state record currently for black crappie (4.10lbs)
What type of weight do you have on that slip cork setup
I go over the setup at the end of the video!
Where was this at? Have you ever fished at Tyler state park?
I have not. But need too
If your lake doesn't have boat docks do they stay deep or go in the grass
Shallow brush! 6-8 feet of water.
Man those are some slabs and I haven't been able to go fishing in 3 months
Thanks for watching brother! Still praying for you!
What size of barrel weighted swivels do you use? And where do you get them from?😊
I go over this at the end of the video!

I would have to take a look!
Curious why minnows??
Why not? Minnows are crappies natural forage. Yes they will bite jigs, but minnows will catch crappie before anything else.
TOADS those were biggens
Thanks for watching!
