I love seeing these old tractors out there working. Takes me back to my youth.
I agree. It was neat to see 1970’s tillage in 2023.
A very nice combination and a great looking seed bed. Appreciate your time Jason. GO BTP 💪
I first learned how to cultivate with the 1370. We had the white version with cab. Dad got it and it was loaded down with all the tires filled with fluid and the pump turned up. That's probably why the transmission went out. Until we replaced the transmission, we let it run on idle to power the grain dryer which was at 540 rpm vs the 1000 rpm on the Case.
I enjoyed fall tillage because it was always warm and cozy in the cab. The AC went out, so had to run with the window and door open in the summer when I hauled liquid manure with the honey wagon. At least the engine on this wasn't loud. I had to remove the muffler once to get the hood off and even then it wasn't loud. It sounded even better with the muffler off because then I could hear the sweet whistle of the turbo.
This video sure brought back good memories.
I learned to moldboard on an 870. Sand colored. Miss that tractor.
Brings back a lot of memories. My dad used to sell case back in the late 70s early 80s.
That Case is a pretty stout tractor. I don't see cabs on 6030s very often. That looked great too! Thanks Jason.
This 6030 is a nice one with the factory cab. I was excited to take it for a couple rounds and plow with it.
Awesome video! I might add that the power red was used in the 70 series on both the desert sunset paint and the power white. They stopped using the flambeau on the 30 series case. Nice tractors!
Great to see a Case featured! Love the cultimulcher too!
It was a great find in WNY 😁👍👍
A open station 1370. That's very cool.
We had a 1370 on our farm. My Dad bought it used when I was a kid. Ours was twice dyno'd at over 190 hp. We never did anything to the engine. It always put out black smoke when it was working. We did have a couple of transmission issues, but overall, it was a good tractor for the money.
Thanks Jason, you can these are good farmers, taking good care of the machinery and the soil. That looks like good soil.
Great video on showing classic tractors out in the field
Dad had several case tractors over the yrs before he quit farming in 97 had a 830, 970 , 1070 the 1070 was my favorite
Great video btp. I would love it if you could make it down here too eastern nc and record a video. Our fields are a bit different and we got a implement that Runs behind the planter that. Would probably make people confused😂.
Great video and thank you BTP.
I'm use to those Case tractors with cabs on them. They look naked. Gee , no rocks. I wish we had ground like that in Upstate NY. I picked so many rocks during rock picking season that I would dream that I was picking rocks in my dreams while sleeping. LOL 😂
Great tractor!
We run David Brown Case tractors in both our hay business and the family market garden we have a Case IH 1394 DB 1190 & 770 they are used for trailer work ploughing cultivation, planting, spraying and pasture topping and rowing up in front of the baler . A great video and nice to see a open station 2wd hard at work in the field and not just confined to yard work
Love those tractors haven’t seen one in years around my area
When I was a kid, my dad bought a 1980 David Brown CASE 990. I had to use both feet to push in the clutch, but I was harrowing the fields at six years old! Dad just got the tractor back and is going to try and restore it to run a snowblower this winter.
Very nice. Congratulations on having the 990 again. I would like to film the 1410, 1210 and 990 for future features.
Good looking tractor! Looks odd with no rops or canopy though. I would love to see one tractor from each manufacturer lined up! Like each popular model from say 1980. All brands had great "muscle tractors" as I have learned! 🙂
That was pretty much standard back in the day.
That ground looks great👍👍 This is a very nice fleet to do field work with😃💪
Great video jason!!!
My grandpa had a 1370 it was my tractor i loved that tractor
Love the big old Case iron!
It was neat to get to see this 1370 at work.
I used to operate the 1470TK. Loved the crab steering. Rear steering was from a separate lever to the right of the seat. Pull right or left and the back end would swing right around like a zero turn mower.
The turbo sounded like an F16 when you had it under load. Would love to get a refurbished unit.
Very cool. The 1470TK was a good seller for Case.
Love you grabbing a handful of soil to show the result of the harrows. Could be done more with the crops picked tpp
Good video.
Learned to drive back in Scotland on a DB996 and our first loader tractor was a 1290 Case 2wd
I like David Brown tractors. I would like find a 1410, 1210 and 990 to film.
My neighbor had a 1370 case, my dad leased one for spring, that same neighbor also had a 1070 that we had for 10 years, good tractor. Bought that at his retirement auction. They were more friends than neighbors. John T
Great story. Thank you for sharing. Always good to have friends as neighbors. Agri-Kings are solid tractors.
That 1370 will kick that 6030's ass!
My best recollection of Case tractors is when the James E Straight Shows out of Florida used them to move their carvnival wagons. On their annual train run to various county & state fairs along the east coast. With heavy steel plates on the front & back they were used for push / pull applications. Just awesome.
Very interesting to hear about. What vintage were the tractors that they used?
They used to have a pair 1270s at the Syracuse NY fairgrounds for them Straight shows
My earliest recollection is the 930 series Case tractors. They were always at the Erie County fair in Hamburg, NY. I vivdly remember they were purchased in the state of Delaware from the dealer decal. Probably due to no sales tax. Followed by the 70, 90 series then Magnum tractors. Which they use today. There are videos on youtube titled "James E. Strate". or Strate Shows. They have always used Case tractors & in their history picture page there are photos of 600 series tractors being used.
We pulled the same thing but a single tire 4320 !😊
Güzel 👍🏼
Excellent video once again big T 👍👍👍 I remember Case taking over David Brown. You could see 2 identical tractors one badged Case the other David Brown...
It is always neat to see a merger transition. David Brown tractors are on my wish list to film. I would really like to feature the Case DB 1410, 1210 and 990.
Yes the 990 selectamaatic was an iconic tractor 🚜
great video Jason you should make a video from the mid 80s when case merged with international when the 88 series was the flagship for the caseih magnum most the magnum drive train was from the 88 series tractors . sorry not sure but you have made a video about this before
It wasn't a merger J I Case bought the ih farm equipment division. No totally new tractors had backward swinging doors or ih engines
Nothing like an open cab tractor
I love seeing an open station tractor with duals. I also noticed that the driver sits in front of the tires. Don't see that often
The big open station treat its are cool tractors.
With the cab's off you really notice the size of these tractors.
Hello! Old school tractor working fine!
👍👍👍👍
@@bigtractorpower 👌👌
❤😊😊
I spent a lot of time on a 1370!
Very cool
Great tractors with a nice transmission, very cool version of it!
Tom thank you for setting up this cool tractor to be at your farm for fall tillage.
I can't decide on the desert tan or the white both look great
I like them both.
Strong 2wd tractors, plowed hundreds of acres with a 1070 and 6 bottom IH plow.
Very nice. The 1070 is one of the all time greats.
Beautiful tractor, looks a little odd with out a cab!
There werent many of those case tractors in our area. 4 that I recall. Two 1175s, a 1270 and a 1370 all with in a couple miles apart. Many jumped from the 30 series to the 90 series.
There’s a 2090,2290,2390 and 2590 within just a few miles of me and no 2 have the same owner
I run a 1370!!
Been waiting for this video to drop just because I have a 1370😂
The 1270, 1370 and 1570 are on my filming wish list.
Gotta have hearing protection on open station tractors. It will cause damage later in life. Even some cab tractors are too loud.
JD Soundgard and Steiger Safari cabs set the standard for in cab noise reduction.
The 1970’s a big time in cab development and improving operating conditions.
It looks like new it needs a custom cab
Brillion is my hometown
Very cool. Home of Ariens lawn and garden equipment 😁👍
The 1370 was tested in Nebraska @ 142 PTO in 1972
I go by the original company sales literature for the info.
Hi I have a 1976 case 1370. I had the engine injection pump rebuilt 10 years ago. I asked the technician that did the pump rebuilt if he could turn up the injection pump to have engine produce more horsepower. He told that the 504 cubic inch engine could be turned up to 200 horsepower with no problem. After doing that I had to straight pipe the exhaust so as to keep from out exhaust manifold gaskets. From my 25 years of personal experience running my 1370 these engine have great lugging ability.
Hello everyone good vidéo big tractor power
the operator friend of my boss and I have the case 1370 and all the case ranges from the first gasoline engine to the last of 2002 but only the most famous series and many other old us brands
France unfortunately it is very complicated to do repowers but we have not succeeded in homologating a jd 5020 in v12 detroit diesel and a 4320 in v8 detroit diesel
Beast tractor us and beast transmission us
Oh our roller hero oh yes it's gear you stink of seeing our hero from the ground the roller hero
If only Case could've figured out the power shift 😢. I'd have an 870 here instead of MF 1085 😢😢😢
Hey I know that guy!
😁👍👍👍
The tan-colored tractors looked nicer.
When I work for a farmer? He had a 13th 70 that was turned up. No, put out 205 horse. And that thing would always slobber fuel. You could never idle it down otherwise. You had a mess all over the white hood.
I personally think only thing missing is rops with a roof
This seems like a very very flat area but yeah a roof tops never hurts!!
@xSCHEF nope I would have one for shade....
and where FOPS/ ROPS?
Every 1370/1570 I was around as a kid had the glass taken out and the doors off. I think the AC was very poor.
The ac compressor in these 1370 tractors is a York brand. And when the system will fully charged with refrigerant will keep the inside of the can very cool on a 90 degree day.
WHITE CASE??? That’s weird lol
Ah damnit now “if it’s red keep it in the shed doesn’t apply anymore 😂😂😂
What are you talking about they were painted desert tan then white & power red 😢
Should have asked the farmer, which one he preferred.
Case IH, IH, and J.I. Case are all different animals
@@nellsonstout7001yes ji case back in the day was different but when the merger between IH & Ji Case the tractors were the SAME JUST PAINTED RED
