I eventually went on reddit and ask how to play through the series and I’ve just now finished ddd. “ThErEs No WaY”. There clearly is if I had no idea about it. Lol isn’t KH2 the game where you can just spam Triangle to automatically do the Command you need to win with no penalty for mashing or mistiming it? Where you can just let bosses hit you and they’ll never ever kill you since you have absurd healing and can’t be brought below 1 hp until you’ve healed yourself? Where every damn boss was a cakewalk after you got last chance unless they had a special lose condition?
Tim Plusminus Depends on what you mean by interesting. KH2 brought a lot of cool things to the table and had less limitations as a console game, so it naturally has the leg up on mechanics and polish, not to mention the extras like LW or data battles.
@@Lardo137 DDD could have had the exact same battle system as KH2, though! Like, what about the PS2 architecture makes fun keyblade combos more possible than on the 3DS? Enemies with reactable animations? Balance? Resource management? And if anything, DDD's wider areas, high enemy counts, and near-instant enemy attack animations were bad decisions for a portable console. KH2 isn't perfect, but yk... there's definitely decision making and interesting dexterity challenges between reaction commands. I can't think of a single time I blocked in reaction to something in DDD, either because I couldn't interruot a previous action when I wanted to, or because there was no point when Cures are free on cooldown, even on Proud. And if DDD can only be more interesting in its micromanagement and optimizing command engines... well, I had 3 Thunder Boosts, 3 Magic Boosts and 5 Magic Hastes, and I still did lesa damage with Triple Plasmas than I would if I just used Balloonra/ga. KH2 only has, like, 7 spells and they all have a use, if niche. Most commands in DDD don't even have a niche. And a shortcut menu of 4 spells is probably more than the variety of commands you would reasonably use in DDD once familiar with the game.
4:42 how would you survive 3-4 volleys of those dark projectiles? He wouldn't stop firing at me, and since Riku's guard has that vulnerable cooldown lag, i keep getting depleted down to 1hp no matter how much I pummel the Guard button. D:
It never fails to bug me how he's more dangerous with his non-keyblade lightsabers than with his keyblade, which is supposed to be a very powerful weapon.
In the context of the game he isnt supposed to be too difficult to beat in Riku's side of Dream drop distance as he is a penultimate boss in the game. In Birth by sleep Mysterious Xehanort was a post game super boss,but he was difficult(or literally impossible)for all the wrong reasons(didnt flinch/stagger reliably[alot of bosses in BBS had this issue],could bring you to one health with one hit even if at max level,and would lock you into multiple strikes when he did because of how long you stagger for,and he had a regen move[utter bullshit given how its hard to hit him at all]).

He wouldn't have those time powers to begin with if Xehanort didn't send Ansem back in time to give them to his youngest self. Young Xehanort never had time powers until the eldest version of him began creating his time loop. And giving Young Xehanort access to time magic was all part of the plan.
A channel called KBM studios developed pretty consistent strats for this boss he explained his strategy in his description, so it can be done consistently without cheese.
I think he was implying he was just more manipulable having no connections outside of org XIII and no memories of his former life they could pretty much get him to do whatever they wanted and lie to his face. And they did for the longest time actually 🤔

i just don’t get it, im on normal mode and level 56 and i use balloona and i just can’t beat him, i got past the first part but the second part is fucking impossible
God, this fight was pure doodoo water. It was so cheap and unbalanced, and GOD HELP YOU if you didn't have multiple Balloonra/curaga spells. Literally ignore everything else, just just Balloonra/curaga.
I love how tiny things like Ansem being hocked to a Xehanort locking mega Monster in his final Form got praticly explained by IT WAS ALL XEHANORT ALL ALONG lol I think afterthe keyblade of hearts got destroyed both xemnas and Ansem knew that they neded to Fall back to plan B and C ( as at the time OG Organization was still active) Plan b involved the destruction of Ansem BUT also a slight chance that IF he survives to uses the Kingdom Jearts of Many worlds to archive the Ultimate Goal of a Balanced World. And I Thing Ansem Hoped this was the case and the meaning behing LIGHT.....BUT WHY...... is ultimatly WHY DID I FAIL? WHY DO I HAVE TO DIE TO WIN?....
