- One of the worst designed bosses in the game. You can get hit for no reason if you try guarding and countering his attacks. I had to use pretty ridiculous strat just to win without getting hit. The clock is actually the easiest part as long as you're patient. I have no problem beating this guy this way since he's the worst boss in the entire series (the mysterious figure) and is still pretty bad in this game.

Where did u get the darkness dash thingy and that barrier when blocking his attacks? What's the name of those abilities? I don't have them i'm having a hard time against this boss, my command set is different from yours btw

Dominic Docherty I played a tiny bit of kh1 a couple years ago. Never made it past traverse town. All these years I was wondering about what that game was that I played because I wanted to play it again. About last year I found out the name of the game. I eventually went on reddit and ask how to play through the series and I’ve just now finished ddd. “ThErEs No WaY”. There clearly is if I had no idea about it. It’s not that hard to stay away from spoilers 🤦♂️

His command set is indeed OP, I wish i had those amount of Balloon skills but unfortunately i only had 1 and that is Balloonga...I managed to defeat Xehanort thanks to this vid and the other vid i saw earlier but damn it took me several retries to actually defeat him completely i suck at dodging.

No damage kh2 - accurately knowing the timing of each of your opponents attacks, watching precisely for the telegraphing thereof and and and blocking or dodging at precisely the right moment and then when they are staggered going in to attack with out triggering the revenge value which again requires knowledge of the boss

Lol isn’t KH2 the game where you can just spam Triangle to automatically do the Command you need to win with no penalty for mashing or mistiming it? Where you can just let bosses hit you and they’ll never ever kill you since you have absurd healing and can’t be brought below 1 hp until you’ve healed yourself? Where every damn boss was a cakewalk after you got last chance unless they had a special lose condition?

Tim Plusminus Depends on what you mean by interesting. KH2 brought a lot of cool things to the table and had less limitations as a console game, so it naturally has the leg up on mechanics and polish, not to mention the extras like LW or data battles.
@@Lardo137 DDD could have had the exact same battle system as KH2, though! Like, what about the PS2 architecture makes fun keyblade combos more possible than on the 3DS? Enemies with reactable animations? Balance? Resource management?
And if anything, DDD's wider areas, high enemy counts, and near-instant enemy attack animations were bad decisions for a portable console.
KH2 isn't perfect, but yk... there's definitely decision making and interesting dexterity challenges between reaction commands.
I can't think of a single time I blocked in reaction to something in DDD, either because I couldn't interruot a previous action when I wanted to, or because there was no point when Cures are free on cooldown, even on Proud.
And if DDD can only be more interesting in its micromanagement and optimizing command engines... well, I had 3 Thunder Boosts, 3 Magic Boosts and 5 Magic Hastes, and I still did lesa damage with Triple Plasmas than I would if I just used Balloonra/ga. KH2 only has, like, 7 spells and they all have a use, if niche. Most commands in DDD don't even have a niche. And a shortcut menu of 4 spells is probably more than the variety of commands you would reasonably use in DDD once familiar with the game.

@@alimichalkan8046 For me it's the time shenanigans and his personality, but everybody's experience is different with bosses.
It never fails to bug me how he's more dangerous with his non-keyblade lightsabers than with his keyblade, which is supposed to be a very powerful weapon.
In the context of the game he isnt supposed to be too difficult to beat in Riku's side of Dream drop distance as he is a penultimate boss
in the game.
In Birth by sleep Mysterious Xehanort was a post game super boss,but he was difficult(or literally impossible)for all the wrong reasons(didnt flinch/stagger reliably[alot of bosses in BBS had this issue],could bring you to one health with one hit even if at max level,and would lock you into multiple strikes when he did because of how long you stagger for,and he had a regen move[utter bullshit given how its hard to hit him at all]).
@@rustycookiepekka6875the inconsistency decided by the game developer is seriously confusing. I don’t understand why the decided it to be this way. If he started as being super difficult, then keep it that way in future installments.

Its always like this. I go through the game by doing my own thing without any help, but the moment I look up a final Boss tutorial, they always got super OP moves that I dont know about. Oh well, the kingdom hearts experience~

You must also realize Mickey meets Sora in his Dreams before he meets Sora physically in the Tutorial in KH1 . He is the voiceless Voice who tells Sora about the Door.

Master Xehanort is obviously the strongest but I always felt his younger self was the strongest iteration of himself due to his mastery over time..

A channel called KBM studios developed pretty consistent strats for this boss he explained his strategy in his description, so it can be done consistently without cheese.

the people in hoods are the same organization members from kh3. if he took over sora, sora would’ve been a pawn of xehanort and the 13th member of the organization as he planned.

I think he was implying he was just more manipulable having no connections outside of org XIII and no memories of his former life they could pretty much get him to do whatever they wanted and lie to his face.

They nerfed Young Xehanort on the PS4 version. He's much less aggressive now I believe.

God, this fight was pure doodoo water. It was so cheap and unbalanced, and GOD HELP YOU if you didn't have multiple Balloonra/curaga spells. Literally ignore everything else, just just Balloonra/curaga.

I love how tiny things like Ansem being hocked to a Xehanort locking mega Monster in his final Form got praticly explained by IT WAS ALL XEHANORT ALL ALONG lol
I think afterthe keyblade of hearts got destroyed both xemnas and Ansem knew that they neded to Fall back to plan B and C ( as at the time OG Organization was still active)
Plan b involved the destruction of Ansem BUT also a slight chance that IF he survives to uses the Kingdom Jearts of Many worlds to archive the Ultimate Goal of a Balanced World.
And I Thing Ansem Hoped this was the case and the meaning behing LIGHT.....BUT WHY...... is ultimatly WHY DID I FAIL? WHY DO I HAVE TO DIE TO WIN?....
