Definition of art tutorials
“Draw a circle and add details”
Why is that so fucking true-
Well this tutorial is a bit more.. not quick and confusing
@@randomlyj6240 it's not a tutorial tho
@@astra-nomia I meant if it IS one..
Yo, this is not an art tutorial.
They are just showing how they use pencil to hatch :)
God I love hatching like this so much. With pencils one could easily shade in a blended and entirely smooth way, but by hatching instead it adds that subtle touch of texture that, to me, brings it to another level.
THIS YESS YOU EXPLAINED WHAT MY BRAIN WAS THINKING OF
and also the textures IS SO TRUE also cause honestly whenever I see it it's one of those textures that scratch the itch in my brain very satisfying BD
I get that, but it kinda pisses me off that he called this video "the hatching process that I use" but ended up not having a process at all, it was kind of just hatching with straight lines arbitrarily (direction wise), so it kind of gave me a "just hatch forehead" kind of feeling I'm sorry.
@@inourcingdisk2104 But that is literally the process? Straight hatched lines. It gives the cartoony feel to the art.
This. Also to make the hatching lines look good, you need to know in which direction to lay down the lines, meaning you need that extra bit of dimensional knowledge to pull this off. May look like random straight lines to the untrained eye, but no single line is unintentional when it comes to professional artists. Love it.
@@왕새우-c8g I'm an amateur and I can tell that he's trying to shade the entire drawing with vertical lines, I was just not happy that he didn't stick to just all vertical lines. I'm not going to argue that the final outcome looks great, I'm just saying, it would make me happier if he just didn't state that this is his "process" if he ended up not follow through the entire piece. If it's just called something like "daily sketch 711" this would be a 10/10.
That is absolutely amazing. Can you please tell me the art supplies name?
Love to you ❤️
Pencil and paper homie
@@nevisnebis1207 what about the highlights they used for the eyes?
@@Angela_WowNice gelpen homie
@@nevisnebis1207 w h a t b r a n d ?
This is so nice and relaxing, no music, no fast cuts, no talking, just a simple good drawing
Hi
Ang Ganda talaga I love it
So mostly what I noticed is the rule of Follow the Shape of The object with your hatching. Like around the yes you try to follow the shape of the eyelid be where it meets the brow line or turns into cheek it changes.
Yes, this is a basic rule in hatching.
Hatching is just the absolute best. Like, it’s not uncommon but my god is it satisfying when it falls into place. And the beautiful texture and ability to grasp subtleties in any shaded surface.
Arguably the best technique I’ve developed in my own art and amazing to see in others :)
Beautiful piece by the way ❤️

@@therealrosewish but you can. They’re called duets
I love to watch hatching techniques ✍
How did you learn it? Is there like a course/tutorial I can watch?
*pauses at the end to admire it* : Wow it's really good!
*Focuses on neck* : AAAAAAHHHH-
yeah.. giraffe girl
Same
I know~ 😅but it’s still a wonderful piece of art!❤❤❤
it's just stylized. I think it's pretty.
@@ectooo but cause its still semi (not even semi more than that) realistic that really bugs mee
This is beautiful!
❤
Bro your lines are So CLEAN
this is really good 👍 the only thing that bothers me though is that the neck is a bit thin, but other than that it looks really really good
The neck actually looks like more of a stylistic choice to me rather than a fault since as a whole, this drawing is stylized in its proportions.
Oh- I just realized the neck is thin-
@@math1937 it's stylized, but it follows realistic proportions to the face, so it's kinda weird to look at her and see a thin neck like that, it looks like a goose with human face. Dunno, it just didn't fit the style, just like Sara Tepes art from a while ago (she used to draw really thin necks, but she does a semi realistic art, so it was uncomfortable to look at those beautiful faces she does with the goose necks), but she changed it and now her art is way more proportional than it used to be back then. The art here is great tho, but I can't say it fits the style.
I’ve literally dated someone with a neck this size, people always assume your standards fall within all standards. That’s just now how things are.
@@VeilKou I don't they meant it in a bad way-
The artstyle looks clean af
Amazing you are just amazing
How you manage to do this task effortlessly
You are inspiration 💕💕
the effort is off screen. imma leave with a chinese proverb "ten minutes performing on stage equal ten years of hard work off stage". keep grinding 👍👍
So beautiful 😍
You didn't erase that inner eye highlight YOU JUST KNEW NOT TO FILL IT IN. masterfully done, I wanna draw now!!!
That's a real basic starter move
Please continue
I mean it's a matter of choice if you leave it blank or erase it later, not a matter of skill...
Please don't mind..but if u watch it carefully he added whitener on the pupil...
What do you mean by inner eye?
This is absolutely amazing 🤩. But make sure the neck isn’t so long.
My neck seriously does look like that tho
It’s also a bit thin it seems
@@secretjanus 🙈🙈
The process:
1-Draw a circle
2-Draw a cross
3-Add small details
4-Shading
I love how it looks so realistic and still looks stylized at the same time 😮💖💖💖
Yes it's called stylized realism
It's semi-realism
"realistic" *she has a 2 meter neck*
Great shading great drawing ❤😊
It looks really cool !
Extremely beautiful art, I can tell the artist is very skilled with line weight and pencil control. Hopefully one day I'll be as good too.
One tip, though: don't use your finger to blend the shading like that. Your skin, especially your fingers, have oils in them that can damage the artwork if you do it too much. A paper stomp is better, but if you don't have that any fine paper will do, like tissue/toilet/kitchen paper :)
@W.D. Gaster no, but a substitute for a paper stomp is tissues, toilet paper, or kitchen paper towels
Idk what the last one is called, can't remember, but basically just any one of those three will work instead of a paper stomp in a pinch :)
Sometimes i want to like twice ...
Maybe youtube will understand me someday..
You are really great ❤️❤️
This is better than a masterpiece ✨✨✨
ugh! the sound of sketching feels so good🤗
The depth looks amazing
This is so beautiful✨
This is insane- you’re so talented and make hatching look so easy. Not fair! Lol
God bless you ^^
Amazing as always, best time to draw is when it's raining.
You got some talent man
This is the real definition of art
Это восхитительно ❤️
You sooooooo talented 😍
I have no words ❤
Found your art beautiful; thank you for sharing the process with us.
I think the shading looks gorgeous on her potrait
appealing eyes bro. So spot on, love it
The pencil scratching sounds ..don't you think it feels aesthetically pleasing
I love hatching, I usually cross hatch rather than blend in my art exams as when done well it can have neater results.
❤❤❤
I love messy disorganized hatching. It’s such a nice texture and grit to a piece
❤
I love your painting
It’s like watching Monet….. it’s just beautiful ❤
Love that you kept the smudges, keeping it real!
I like this✨️💕
Especially the way you drew the nose👀✨️
The only thing is what right eyelids aren't "fully visible": a part of them is "behind" the eye itself. As I know, this is impossible because eyelids cover the eye. Hope I explained it clearly😅
All the best for you^^
❤
So nice👏👏👏 drawing❤ beautiful✨
Thank you 💓
so pretty
💅🤩 professional artwork ❤
I LOVE your hatching!! I use to be so scared of hatchwork (still kinda hate cross-hatching) but now I just love how it looks and want to get good at it.
But I also find it funny that you only got a literal SECOND of a song audio in the bg and I immediately recognized it bc I had been hyperfixating on that song last week.
This really inspires me to draw traditionally :)
Why u mean by traditionally
@@aspreeghasingh3701 traditional art is paper and pencil art
The “new” art is digital art where you jaw electronically, usually through a tablet

وللة رسمتهة
This is the most perfect Circle I have seen drawn lol btw your art is killer
It looks so easy yet so hard
PHAT TO DEF!!! FROM ONE ARTIST TO ANOTHER!!! I'VE DECIDED TO SUBSCRIBE!!!✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
I hate hatching myself because I have the worst line control in the universe but watching others do it is so satisfying! Amazing art dude!
Please continue
Not worse that mine😅😂
I'm just a 0 level artist but I think the neck region is proportionally curvier and longer.... but it's so wholesome please don't be angry I know the dedication required
Edit : may I know the reference either way ?
Im pretty sure It's because his drawing is stylized! I may be wrong though 😭
@@esmeraldaflores8148 you may be right 🙂
Dude its stylism.
Such a realistic giraffe!
The eyes are sooo expressive, amazing
"Perfect other eye doesn't exi-"
The process of hatching is so satisfying for me especially when adding shines and you have to erase a little is just **chefs kiss**
My art teacher would SCREAM at us as soon as he saw us rubbing our pencil lead with our fingers 😢 😂
😂😂😂😂
YOURE SO TALENTED
❤
Wow, amazing art work 👍👍👍
Her neck 💀
It was like a jumpscare when they showed the full piece at the end 💀
Came into the comments just to see if anyone said anything.
😂😂😂
It's candace 😮
Is hatching depends on paper quality? If yes then you should make one video on that
I love this. Cool trick.
