About Space Marines never aiming from shoulder: my Yourhammer explanation is that each bolter has camera and ballistic computer insade. When SM takes bolter in his hands feed from this camera translated directly in his braine via black carapace. This makes SM to literraly see croshair on his helmet screen or in augmented reality he sees (because i think SM in helmet doesnt see with his own eyes but with cameras of the helmet). This allows SM to shoot from the hip - which helps to not expose vulnerable arm pits and stay accurate.

My cat did the exact thing Ben's did. He brought a mouse in at 1 am, and then it was my fucking job to chase the little fucker. After an hour I just gave up and let nature take its course. The 9 year old learned the next day that our cat is a killer.
Hardest thing for me about painting Griffons was deciding if the top left was red or yellow. It is inconsistent across the artwork
Personally, I went with top left red, but after joining the HG facebook group it feels like I'm in the minority.
I think wherever the logo is, is the Red shoulder.
The Artwork you've seen where it's the other way around is just their sister chapter, "Giffons Howling".
Yeah, at some point (the 80s?) green & purple became the chaotic evil colour scheme, for sure.
Black & red lawful evil.
Blue & white/silver lawful good, etc.
At some point I figured out the complete colour-alignment correspondence, but who remembers that shit?

I will always mention how dumb that slam into the ground that Space Marine looked. The packs literally were pointing up when going down, the thrust did not match the direction. A lot of that is because the pack really was designed with the idea of a shallow arc or full flight, with feet first landing, never crashing into the ground like an Ork who's pack misfired.

My policy is now, unless I'm sold already sold on a game, play it for an hour and a half, do a bit of rush job just to get into stuff and then go make some food and a drink or something, ruminate on it, then commit and start again or refund it.
I much prefer it when Tom and Ben hate new models. Sick of simps eating up every primaris thing which comes out of GW's ass
was really hoping they'd go back to total war with the new DLC, or at least something other than FTL. if this stream has just turned into the Tom and Ben podcast possibly followed by FTL every week im probably not going to keep coming back to it.

Curious why you dislike FTL, considering that is how the tom and ben streams began so long ago. But also curious what other games you would prefer if not warhammer total war. Also in their defense total war warhammer 3 feels like the worse one in the trilogy. The second one was the best and then one is still kinda fun. 3 I have yet to enjoy the same way at all.
The chat is the only thing I like. If they started and finished new games, I'd be into that. I reckon watching those two dick around with BG3 in co op would be a riot.
