This was an interesting friendship. The two spent a ton of time together and loved each other but there was never a speck of romance. I loved Carol's reaction to Magnum introducing her to his daughter. Great show.
Loved Thomas and Carol's purely platonic relationship! So sweet to watch....I think most of us would have loved to have had such a friendship with Magnum! I kept hoping it would develop....esp. loved the "sleepover" episode...I think she really wished it would develop as well...
I always liked Carol. More than Mac, Luther Gillis, or Ice Pick or any other secondary character, Carol was the 5th "man" on the team. As with TC, Rick, Higgins and even the Lads, Carol had great Chemistry with Magnum and everyone else.
So happy I found this!! I loved them together!! I was hoping something more would have developed between them. She was so good with Thomas when he was reunited with Lily and he was so good to her when she found out about her father.
Kathleen Lloyd's characters persona projected an irrepressible inner strength yet an attractive vunerbility to those whose her character loved. Kathleen Lloyd was such a babe and is a babe forever in my and others memories! In "The Car" she was at a peak! This movie and other features and series she had a role in have aged well as the years progress.
Daymon Foster She has aged well. Even with a few wrinkles and silvery grey hair, I still have a crush on her as I did in the 80s. The girl next door type that I never had as a neighbor. Great character actress in many shows and movies from the early 70s through the early or mid 90s, she was intelligent, pretty, and I think had a great heart. She did the right thing and left all the Hollywood behind. Thanks for everything Kathleen Lloyd.
I thought the chemistry her and Magnum had was really great. I'm not sure why they didn't keep their relationship the same strong friendship so she could be a regular character on the show along with Higgins, TC and Rick, and Magnum still could have had some love interests.
