Keine Ahnung, als was man dieses kuriose Ding bezeichnen soll. Es ist weder ein Sessellift, noch eine Achterbahn noch eine Schwebebahn. Es sieht aus als hätte eine Einersessellift mit einem Kettenförderer einer alten KSB ein Kind bekommen. Das Ganze nennt sich Stone Station und steht im Dinopark von Funtana auf Istien in Kroatien. Der Park mit dem Thema Dinosaurier besitzt auch einen kleinen Vergnügungspark mit einige Attraktionen. Kurioserweise laufen die meisten davon ohne Operator in Selbstbedienung. Man muss einfach jemanden dabei haben der einem den Startknopf drückt. Viele der Bahnen dürften Selfmade sein. So auch dieser kuriose Sessellift. Die Fahrgäste hängen an Einersesseln welche an einer Kette befestigt sind welche in einer Schiene läuft. Anfänglich waren die Sessel offen, wenn man die Fotos im Internet anschaut sind die Verkleidungen in Blattform neuer.
Nach dem drücken des Startknopfs rattert die Kette los. Der Sessel folgt der Schiene durch eine Landschaft mit Karstfelsen. Darunter sind Dinosauriereier und kleine Babysaurier zu besichtigen. Die Strecke verläuft in einem Zwickzackkurs und endet wiederum in der Startstation.

I have no idea what to call this strange thing. It is neither a chairlift nor a roller coaster nor a suspension railway. It looks like a single chair lift with a chain conveyor from an old KSB has had a baby. The whole thing is called Stone Station and is located in Funtana's Dinopark on Istria in Croatia. The dinosaur-themed park also has a small amusement park with a few attractions. Curiously, most of them run in self-service without an operator. You just have to have someone to push the start button. Many of the tracks are likely to be self-made. So also this curious chairlift. The passengers hang from single chairs which are attached to a chain that runs in a rail. Initially, the chairs were open, if you look at the photos on the Internet, the leaf-shaped coverings are newer.
After pressing the start button, the chain rattles loose. The armchair follows the rail through a landscape of karst rocks. Among them are dinosaur eggs and small baby dinosaurs. The route runs in a zigzag course and ends again in the starting station.

The notice says that children must be under supervision. And there is a weight limit of 50kgs, which therefore excludes most grown adults! I must seriously doubt the safety of this 'self-made' instillation. If a child had an accident and fell out of a chair (there is no bar in front of the rider to protect him/her) I am sure the parent would bring a court case claiming compensation.

In the US maybe. But the thing is not in the USA. There is also a chain which can be closed so that the children do not fall out of the seat.
BTW. In the USA there are many chairlifts without a safety bar and you can fall a lot further.

@@Stahlseil Thanks for your very informative response. However, I would disagree on one point. I have an English legal training. I am quite sure that if this instillation were in England and a child was injured there would be a court case claiming compensation. In England a lawyer can make a claim on the basis. 'If we do not win I cannot claim any payment for my services.' (This is knows as 'a conditional fee'.
