LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THERE SHALL BE FLIES THAT FLOATETH ON THE WATER WITHOUT REBUKE OR IMPEDIMENT. I DO DECLARE!
here here Useith the flyagra to keep it up!! what say you..
That Brown Sharpie trick, doing just one side of a grizzly hackle, is one of those things I should have thought of myself. Another trick to at to my fly bench. The Adams is one of the greatest dry flies ever created. I have a fly box that has nothing but that dry fly in it. I will be adding this one to the box, # 14 down to an # 18 for sure # 20 and 22 if I got the hackle for that, of course later today I am going to buy a Brown Sharpie or two.
Greatest dry fly pattern ever devised, imo. Catches fish like crazy and the post gives you good visibility. Best of all, they’re easy to load with floatant so dry dropping becomes *ridiculously* easy. Elk hair caddis and parachute adams..the only two dry fly patterns I truly NEED in my box.
Best tying I've come across for this fly. The sharpie thing is genius! Thanks very much.
Love this method for tying parachutes. I just tied a few of these and it worked just as you showed. Thanks!
Great technique - for a great classic dry fly. I’ve caught more trout on this pattern than any other including Caddis and various stimulators.
👍🇨🇦🇬🇧
What a great lesson on this classic fly. I hope to tie one tonight.
Great tip to color the grizzly hackle on one side. Very nice parachute adams.
Just caught my PB 20” brown trout with this pattern amongst many other browns of various sizes! Sz 14 loon aquel treated and floats like a cork!
Just came across this video - love the use of the super glue as tying this off is always a challenge! 🤯🎣
I use 2 or three pheasant tail fibers for the tail. I’m trying out your finishing technique. Thanks for the vid.
Excellent! Very neat trick with the marker 👍🏻.
Now your nickname should be Cheat.. 😂. I loved the trick with sharpie, i also love CDL, best tails ever. Anyway, fly looks amazing.
This must be the neatest bit of dubbing I've ever seen.
Thanks!
I see Cheech has been rocking the Fiskars in the last few videos. My favorite scissors by far and they’re only $10.
Got a better description to find them??
Need a decent all purpose-already have some razor scissors I'm reluctant to dull løl
Nice! Like the sharpie trick!
Great video, must try this...thanks
That is a great trick. Thank you
I love this! So simple but somehow I never thought of it! 🤦🏻♂️
Brilliant! You rock!!
Awesome!!!
Wow the brown sharpie is great
Nice I colored half hackle for awhile, nice tie.
Traumhaft schön gebunden
Very nice tie.
Awesome
Bruh. Thank you.
exactly 11.5 fibres….
PROPS to NW Michigan ✨🎣💫
Like the title says Cheech; Super clean and easy. Like it a lot
Cheech, I love the brown sharpie trick. Do you think a Cree hackle would be acceptable?
edward constantini no marker needed with cree.
@@FlyFishFood yeah, that's why I asked
Just curious what you use the half fiber for? lol!
Ingenious Cheech!
Cheech any thoughts on using a little darker dubbing for the thorax ?
Nice and simple. No brown hackle added in with the grizzly? But hey, I won't judge: if it catches fish, who cares? I will definitely try this version out. Thanks much!
He colors it with a sharpie to represent the brown. Watch da vid.
ssshhhhhhh this is my secret weapon!
Wouldn't one side of the hackle be pinched against the post and the other be exposed? So instead of coloring one side of the feather you should instead color it up and down? White, black, brown, black, white, black, brown, etc.
Even the hackle that is pinched against the post will flare and be visible.
I'm really surprised it wasn't tied this way in the first place.... not sure why the "original" method calls for tying off the material merkin style when it could be done easily this way.
what the name of that white material ?
EP fibers
You had me until the A's hat.
I don’t think he plays for the A’s.......you’ll be ok
I've been watching fly fish food since I started fly fishing like 2 years ago. I've never seen Cheech without his beard and I got to say I'm Disturbed. Deeply, deeply Disturbed
We need to do some CGI on these older vids 😂😂😂
He looks so young.....
I’m going to be pissed if I tie a bunch of these and your super glue technique comes apart. Seems too good to be true
Still looks super hard to me hahahaha
Bootleg cree
