I agree. It’s heavy and technical, but it’s also really mellow. Solid track, not necessarily one I’m blown away by. Now that new Aborted track on the other hand... that’s just “faaaahrk” from start to fuckin finish.
After first listening i was just confused. The song is too complicated even for Beyond Creation. I realized that I had to listen to it at least 5 more times and with each new time I noticed new details that already gave an opportunity to build a complete picture. So do the same. The song is simply amazing and I like that it doesn't sound like the songs from previous two albums. I also worried that Hugo would try to copy Dominic's style. Fortunately, this did not happen and Hugo plays in his own style. More-less.
Hugo does his own style all the time. Listen to Brought by Pain or Equipoise. The guy is fucking sick, and he's really nice in person and to chat with over the interwebz. Really down to earth kind of dude and the kind of guy that will answer any question. I even had a bass lesson with him over Skype some months ago.
@@xavierdube8754 Its the Bands style, so of course he sounds similar. And also Forrest was a long time Member, Hugo needs to grow in this band. That doesn't happen over night. Still Hugo is an awesome bassist.
I was a bit nervous about the new bass player. This is the first time we've heard anything he's written. It was really good though. Not quite as flashy as Forest with the solos but still really good.
depends what you mean by level this is just different than what Simon first started with BC. Personally, seeing them grow like this is really fucking nice, hearing the progressive/melodic elements blend in so well with some harder/tech elements makes my skin crawl (in a good way)
Very cool
c. 6:33 - 7:28 Goosebumps from the deep slow vocals and the atmosphere.
seein them with archspire in september along with obsctua and inferi
