Awesome example of differences on a live target. I had a "Woody" modified 5000 that once found a 3/8 brass shoe tack at 20 inches deep at Heathcote with the 18 inch advantage (worked better than the evolution coils). Thanks for the video, no fluff just getting to the point. I have a 7000 running X-coils and the wife has a 6000 with the small elliptical from Coiltek. I often reminisce about my old 5000.....
Nice job with your approach to making this video mate. Also great light and sound for what it's worth. I really liked how you edited your "5000 test" back in to the video for clear and evident comparison on right there on-screen. Many a nugget still yet to be found with the trusty old 5k. I do however very much prefer _Landscape_ for Film and Videos. Portrait is more often best for still shots.
Mate, love your work, good video. Its interesting that you & one of your commentators use the advantage coils for best results. When I go crazy in normal or fine gold and run 20 gain on my 5000 I found the best coil to be a DD, they just love gain and without the cone shaped signal they get me better results at depth. Especially useful using a smaller DD with massive gain in tight areas as the 18 inch coils can make hard work. Main thing is I loved the video. cheers Johno
Something you need to be aware of General on the 7000 excels on nuggets 10grams and up, you should be running high yield as the response is much better on
Wow that was awesome to watch I am deciding what to buy at moment and this was very informative ty for this. I have a question how do I go about getting a modded 5000 ? Very interested
@@guywood6574 frequency was set to standard .not up or down .I have noticed with the 18 inch coil I’m targeting between 1-20 grams and found the best response in standard frequency . I change the frequency to big if using the 25 inch dd coil and set machine to normal if I’m chasing 1ounce and bigger. If I’m chasing sub grammar I change coil to 12x7 advantage and set frequency to tiny side but you get less response on larger targets .that’s why I mainly target 1-20 grams as there are more of those around and can build the weight quicker . If I find an ounce or bigger, deep, while in standard mode ,I switch to 25inch dd.and frequency big. I rarely use higher frequency as I waste too much time on shot pellets .rather spend more time chasing weight . But the option is there . So basically I use 3 coils at best 12x7 advantage (tiny) 18 inch round advantage( standard) and 25 inch dd (big)with matching set to normal . Hope this helps . Cheers
Shame the 6000 and 7000 aren't modded as that would make them the top notch machines but sometimes newer or more expensive doesn't mean better...keep up the great easy to learn tricks.
Great editing - liked the back and forth. I use an SP01 on 5/6 and Z on 8 which would have boosted your response for sure on Z - that ground also didn't look that Hot either and would have liked to see response in Normal for High Yeild & General - the latest thing is to go salty on audio smoothing? Not tried as yet. I go back and forth on Normal/Difficult ti rule out hot rocks. Was your audio smoothing off? Was the 5000 fully modded? Cheers Mark
Audio smoothing was off. The ground was too hot to use normal . Since then I found that you can use normal , with extra deep and it quietens the ground but you still get the odd false hole
I had a gain control fitted also . 4 different frequencies 2 higher for small coils and small gold . 2 lower frequencies for large coils and larger gold .
Hello, master, these devices hunt magnetic fields and stones that have reached the surface of the gold nugget field, or filter everything except the gold nugget, if you test it, thank you for your efforts.❤
This one has my young bloke excited to pull our detector out. Thanks for such a clear proactive video. Thumbs up to the camera person too.

leigh
DD leather from Bendigo
Good job mate , can't get it much clearer than that . Micks 5 mods work .
Thanks 👍
Price
1500 I think
Awesome video! What modifications did Detectronics do for you? Would love to have my 5000 perform like that!
I had a gain control fitted also . 4 different frequencies 2 higher for small coils and small gold . 2 lower frequencies for large coils and larger gold .
Was the six running general . How much is a modification
The 6000 was running in difficult ground
So what does the mod for the 5000 cost, and how can I get it? Cheers
Get it from detectronics in Dunolly $1500 to $2000
