I guess the key is consistency. I learned bottom left to top right then bottom right to top left. The thread was folded in half never knotted ,then caught when completing the the first half of the first stitch. This only works when using even numbers of thread. The same principle was used to start the thread as to end it ,when using odd numbers of thread, just as you showed by tunneling under/sewing over the threads.
Wow I wish I could do this again like when I was younger but my eyes & hands don't permit me to anymore. I loved it so thanks for some wonderful & beautiful memories for me 💖❤💗😍😁
You are so welcome Laurie, I am sure you created some beautiful projects. If you should ever need any more inspiration or would like to see more of anything in particular, let us know, we would absolutely love to hear from you. Have a wonderful day, Sarah at LoveCrafts

I have a form with a picture on it & came with yarn, for children 6 + but I don't know how to cross stitch
I absolutely cannot see how you thread your needle. It's not zoomed in enough.
I pinched my screen on my phone and it bought it closer
What is a bead stitch and a glover stitch
I don't know how they thought a 6 yr old could do this with No help. Odd. Dollar Tree
