    I've always done a knot to start a thread but your trick has amazed me - so simple to just reverse the way you use your thread and go through the loop to hold it safe when starting. Ta very much.

    Hello! I wanted to know on a cross stitch pattern how would you read that for this stitch you would need to do a 1/4 or 3/4 or 1/2 stitch

      It varies from chart to chart, but usually there are triangular shapes or other symbols that indicate where the stitches should be placed. :)

      Hi! I use one strand that is doubled over to become two ply. :)
