Always been a fan of Gene, especially his higher register. He as always been a singer first, who happens to have a low voice, and not the other way round.
Gene is amazing. Love this channel. Tim Storms, Wes McKinzie, Rodney Britt, and Paul David Kennamer are all very impressive and worth a listen to if you are a bass fan.
Would love to see a segment on how to work on the "cut" to your lower register sometime. That would be great. Thanks for all your videos and God Bless you, your family and your ministry!
I'm a steel player and can tear up a Pinaner but one time I sang in the shower and the water shut off. Water main busted one block north of my house. True story! I'd give anything to get my low voice back.
His F1 in lonesome road is amazing I need to learn

What a great guy, so honest about his shortcomings, yet I loved him in the Florida Boy’s
Great video! Btw, I was the guy who requested the “Um Papa Um Papa Mow Mow“ for your videos. 😂👍
It would be really funny seeing Richard doing the' um papa mow mow' if he does the interview.
Honestly, I think Matt should interview you one of these days. Your lower chest register alone is freakish 😄
Could you interview Paul david kennamer from valor. Alot of ppl love him
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview Matt.
Can you interview Elliot Robinson? Former bass of Home Free.
Yes please!👍
THIS
WAIT Elliot was home free's old bass?
Could you do an interview with Richard sterban of the Oakridge boys, or even maybe, the former bass of chanticleer, Eric Alatorre.
I second this.
Interview Richard Sterban, Ed O'neal, and Glenn Dustin
Love, Love, Love Gene! Grew up listening to the Florida Boys.
Gene is awesome! Incredible bass singer!
Great interview! Is there any way you could do an interview with Richard Sterban?
Good singers both of them. Nic Val might be an interesting interview.
I second this

I'd like to see you interview the great Richard Sterban
Gene is an awesome dude. Do you think you might be able to get Mike Allen on?
I was hoping you'd interview Bro. McDonald, he is an excellent bassist for the Gaithers

Still waiting for Glenn Dustin🙏🏽 please
Thumbs up
Why most of bass singers started as tenor,?,??🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Because the bass voice is formed during the teenage years, before that, the singers sang tenor as their voices were higher.
I was almost a soprano, then tenor... Then a Basso!
